This was such a sweet, fluffy romance. The scenarios were both interesting and fun, and the ML was absolutely charming. He was supportive without being overbearing. I also appreciated how the MC stayed true to her character throughout the story; she never felt inconsistent or forced.

One drawback was the scene where she finally lets go of her inhibitions that she got from her lack of parental love. This moment should have felt like a revelation. Instead, it was rushed and didn't quite land the impact I hoped for.

The... more>> translation is also quite bad. I noticed lots of poor grammar and wrong forms of the noun. Other than that, this book was lighthearted and a joy to read, just a feel-good romance without heavy drama. <<less

One star for good translation and another for the author actually completing the novel.

I love salted fish stories and don't mind slow-paced, slice-of-life novels, but this was not it.

  • The system was incredibly s*upid and annoying. It wanted sugar, but for some reason didn't understand sugar didn't fall from the sky out of nowhere. So it kept forcing the MC to interact with ML without really considering that it'd be super weird for MC to act that kind of all-knowing, all-caring towards the ML when those two were basically strangers. Calling itself love system and not knowing how romance works is ridiculous.
  • MC characterisation was beyond salted fish. She didn't want to do anything to the point I started to doubt why should I care. At work, for which she'd be paid, she didn't want to put in the effort. For system missions, which were arguably the easiest and fastest way to earn money, she was too lazy. So she was not going to do anything and would keep worry about her father and wish he would wake up? Because the author wrote her to be this way, the plot only moved along when the system forced something to happen, which again would make the system incredibly annoying.
  • Third and last point, I just didn't like the overall pick-me tone of the story that because the MC was lazy and idle, wouldn't put any effort or spare a thought for anything, she appeared cool and likeable. That because she was not like everyone else, she was special. I feel bad for the canon fodders who were actually trying, who did and felt things because they were human. I guess the author was trying for comedy, but it didn't work for me at all.

Xiaoyu 101 on being misled into becoming salted fish.

I truly enjoyed this, it had a bit of humour, satisfaction of ending villains and easy to read language. Translator did a good job.

While all was great in terms of reading experience, it was a tad too cliche, and kind of weird that the ML would actually like her true personality because like 90% of her actions towards ML in first 3/4 of the book was influenced by the system. I mean her choices are always filled wth her personality but, it... more>> still feels a little off, cause if it were up to her things would have ended at saving his life.

With a sudden rich family to support her salted fish tendencies, I was a little disappointed, even though it was an excellent way to get rid of the cannon fodders. I mean by the end of the book, I realised I should be labelled a salted fish too, as I live very comfortably refusing to anything that is not a necessity in life, like socialising, dating, parties, hobbies etc, but I am not rich though?!? You CAN be a salted fish without being rich.

3 Stars for a very mixed review, lots of strange bits about it, but definitely entertaining. <<less

MC truly captures the essence of being a salted fish, this was a really relaxing read with mc’s idgaf attitude. A lighthearted showbiz novel, and things always work out for the MC. I would normally find plots like this bland, but it truly fits the salted fish personality and was made even better with the comedic elements. Would definitely reread, 4.9 stars.

Honestly, this was an okay read to kill time. The main character is likable, and honestly I aspire to be as unbothered as her, but here are some things that made me drop this:

1. The System is freaking annoying. The author uses a comedic language to downplay it, but it just keeps forcing the MC to do stuff she doesn't want to. And the way it keeps ... more>>

made me stop reading and just take a deep breath for patience every single time. It's not funny, it really only ruins the plot. It feels like the author couldn't find a way to make their character do what they wished she did in a way that the MC would actually choose to do it instead of being forced to do s*upid bs and be punished if she doesn't, so it was kind of off-putting and distasteful.

2. Honestly, I don't even get how their relationship suddenly developed to a point. One chapter, they were just cool as cucumbers and the next, the ML suddenly started to treat her with romantic interest and the MC started caring about him a bit??? Way too abrupt.

arc. I just came upon it a few chapters ago and that's how I decided to drop it. It's unnecessary and it really made me roll my eyes because it feels like the author couldn't find a way to make MC interested in ML with the way it was going (honestly the MC should have just been as*xual because that's how she comes across to me) and decided to brainwash her so that they can finally have their awaited romance. I've seen this thing happen in another book before and I dropped that one because of this too, because it's just really abrupt and shows that the author didn't plan the romantic development properly.

All in all, I gave 3 stars because the rating is a bit low (and I did have some fun reading it) but the plot development kind of ruined it for me. <<less

If you want to read a novel where the MC completes the tasks issued by the system in an unconventional manner, this is for you. I really liked how she teased the system making it unable to predict the choices she will make. MC has a salted fish personality (that's the charm) which won't change much throughout the novel. So, if you don't like this type, you are better off reading something else. As for the ML, since every task involves him, we get to see him a lot but... more>> his presence is very subtle. The MC basically hard carries the entire story.

The story has an obvious plot cliche - amnesia but it isn't dragged for a lot of chapters. Their relationship starts from this point on. Personally, I felt that there was really no need to insert this just for their romance to progress. Even without it, MC would have considered the ML at some point.

It's a pretty light-hearted story with a salted fish MC who needs to act like a knight in shining armor due to the demand of the system in her head and rescue the damsel-in-distress-like ML several times. There are plenty of hilarious moments to read.

I liked the paced of this story. Like other reviewers mentioned that the romance is slow but it comes in bursts and gradually in the final forty chapters of the story there is a lovely chemistry of the leads. Ning father forgave the youngest daughter too easily and broke the love that the eldest daughter has for him. The FL worked so hard through seven years for her father but it was such a slap in the face. However the father did gave all his assets to the eldest daughter before reconciling with the youngest daughter so I’m sure if the younger daughter knew this fact she wouldn’t bother with her forgotten father. Another is LJ’s family side ending wasn’t explained clearly. They were out to mu*der him but they weren’t mentioned again. However I read this through MTL so maybe I missed it

Loved it especially the fluff! The tasks were funny and the system was great. She was not too OP and I love how she was not immature. Felt sad on how they did the dad's part l especially when it could have been a happy end and a good chance for character growth... but oh well.

Dropping this here. Not only does it not gave me a good first impression, I'm actually already bored with it. Systems are fine, refusing the system's order is even better, but here, it's totally... How should I put it? Lackluster? The system is not even helpful or funny, in fact, it's even a burden and unreasonable. The author never forgets to emphasize that the FL is a salted fish. But the main thing that made me dropped it is the translation quality. I don't know if I'm not just focused... more>> enough or is it really confusing somehow? I mean, in chapter 5.1, while they're having breakfast, I can't follow what's happening. <<less

I love a good salted fish story and this seems like it's probably a very good one. As such I really regret the situation this novel is in.

Sadly I had to give it low stars because of both mediocre translation (though I have seen worse, I'd give it a 3 if this was the only issue.) and the more serious issue that it seems like large parts of chapters, possibly entire chapters, are just cut off and missing. Within the first 6 chapters it has detectably happened at least 2... more>> times. It's like they broke these chapters into 3 parts and only posted the first two. <<less

I love MC. She's like a legendary Pokemon 🤣😂

Although the romance is in the last half... I actually enjoyed the first half more because of MCs choices that makes the system and everyone around MC to question themselves and their 3 views. 😂

This is a comedic, easy-to-read novel—just right to tickle my funny bone. The characters may seem shallow at first but actually has substance based on what I've seen so far. It's gearing up to be a feel good novel so I don't really get the low rating. Admittedly, there are some parts where you've got to suspend your disbelief or turn off your brain, but it's not meant to be that serious anyway. Sadly, this is still ongoing and only has 57 chapters, but with how it's progressing, it should... more>> be relatively short. <<less

The extra star rating should be a gift to our very patient translator. Anyway the story was mid. The system annoyed me a lot at times. Plus the pacing felt off and dragged at times. Also, what's with way cnovels portray rich people like show offs. Most of them are classy people right. Especially the older ones, but here everyone wants to show off everything. Weird.

FL's character is too unrealistic to work so the plot bends for the her rather than she having Any motivation to do anything. Seems like she has depression but is masking it as "laziness" because she doesn't have any reaction to anything except when crying to her father to wake up but even then, she doesn't even have the motivation to make money? At one point she asks the system to look for someone else, um why? Aren't you getting money for treatment? She is getting paid to be on the show but doesn't contribute? What is this mindset when trying to earn money to save your father?

I think the author feels that being indifferent and not having emotional fluctuations is very cool so even in situations where it makes sense for the FL to show emotions even if it's for the readers she just be like, "I'm too lazy" or " I don't care " or she'll forget about it.

It's okay if his happens a few time that's the entire premise.
