Gu Lin is an auspicious beast cub, not even two years old, who transmigrated into a horror game. He wobbles when he walks.

Both the other players and the livestream audience are stunned: “Holy crap, someone this small is a player? Is the system broken?”

Are we sure this isn’t the parenting channel?

A kid this tiny, wouldn’t the ghosts just gobble him up, several at a time?!

Because the little cutie is so ridiculously adorable, he regularly makes the livestream audience squeal.

The players also scramble to hold him, their hearts aching as they watch him struggle to walk.

But, unexpectedly, this little cub gets first place every single time?!

Mermaid Town: Disguised as a mermaid, Gu Lin turns into a little merman cub, inching forward slowly. Because he’s so lazy, he doesn’t even crawl a meter in half an hour, and eventually just lies down on a blanket and falls asleep.

Livestream: …I…I want to adopt one QAQ

Because he wants to get the little pearls that are formed from mermaid tears, Gu Lin challenges a mermaid gege to a crying contest.

But after a long time, his stomach is rumbling, and the other guy still hasn’t cried.

Gu Lin bursts into tears first, wiping his eyes with his little hands: “I don’t want to play with you anymore!”

The mermaid gege coaxes and hugs him, resignedly going to find him some little pearls.

Psychiatric Hospital: Gu Lin plays the youngest mental patient. Even the doctor NPC retracts his fangs and turns gentle, asking him why he’s here.

The cub says: “Gege has nothing to eat, so I wanted to cook myself for him. Gege said I’m sick. I told him that if he boils me a few times, it’ll kill the germs, but he doesn’t believe me.”

Doctor: !!

The cub hangs his little head sadly: “When I’m cured, gege can eat me, right?”

Doctor: …?!

No, that’s still not okay.

Livestream:

[Cub is so good, gege has no heart]

[If I were gege, I’d gobble him up, one bite at a time]

[Cub, fly bravely, your aunties will always be with you!]

This is pretty funny.

Usually, childcare type novels get a bit boring after awhile. But this story continues to stay interesting while not being too gruesome and sad for an infinite flow novel.

We follow our MC who suddenly (??maybe not) enters horror infinite flow instance. But fear not, our MC is an auspicious beast (less than 2 human years old!) that is pretending to be human. He has a mysterious elder brother (the author's hints do a pretty good job leading us to the correct answer about this). It's all quite... more>> interesting but all in the background.

Spoiler

Turns out the MC is raising himself????

[collapse]

Although our MC is doted on by everyone due to his cuteness (a bit on outrageous levels), his logic and actions are on such a different level from the people around him that it doesn't feel to contrived.

This infinite flow is a bit different in that players can return to the regular world during breaks. The author glazes over this - usually in infinite flow horror novels, part of the disturbance is that people can't return until they complete their goal so this was a change. I didn't quite understand what was stopping the players from not continuing to play tbh (although I understood why they want to play - wish fulfillment reward). <<less
