Jiang Miaomiao transmigrated into an apocalyptic book and became an insignificant cannon fodder. Considering all the brutal encounters behind, she decided to lie down and peacefully wait for death. She stayed at home and lived as long as she could.

In order to eat and drink well before she dies, she stored a lot of supplies.

Unexpectedly, one day a man broke into her house and was even more salty than her. He stayed and refused to leave. Her three boxes of potato chips were eaten up by that man. Her six boxes of river snail rice noodles were eaten up by that man. Her ten boxes of walnuts were also gnawed by that man!

Jiang Miaomiao was furious and decided to drive him out. So she secretly followed him in the middle of the night and saw him walk into a horde of zombies with a knife on his hands. He looked handsome as he easily killed those zombies.

The man came back and washed the blood stains. She was pushed to wake up while she was pretending to be asleep, “Give me a spicy duck neck.”

Jiang Miaomiao gave it to him decisively with both hands, “Eat, it’s all yours!”

A magical thing happened since then, her supplies… Why is it continuously increasing?

Damn, despite being a slice of life, it's so emotionally charged. Having very few characters sure does make it more emotional since all the focus is on the main characters.

I can actually feel the deep bond and mutual dependence between them through the screen. I've never rooted for a couple so much before.

There are heartwarming moments, there are heartbreaking moments. Overall a worthy read.

This is a 100% masterpiece! 😍 The comedy is hilarious and the thrill is legit. In every chapter, I find myself either laughing my lungs off or holding my breath because of a sudden invasion. Don't forget the cute interactions between the MC and the ML, they're so cute and hilarious at the same time. 😂 I really thank the translator for picking up this gem and showing it to us readers, I'll wait patiently for more awesome chapters! If you read this, you definitely won't regret it! 😂

Spoiler

It's a cute story. So far, the story is just MC + ML and zombies, no other characters. There's only 54+4 chapters, so I'll finish this eventually.

Enjoyment: 5/5

Plot: 5/5

Good story. I got so immersed in the plot, I would forget the time and place. I'm very happy to have read this.

... more>> Was it boring? For me, it wasn't. The tone felt so somber to me. The two were clearly walking on an edge each day. I love the interactions between the two. MC didn't feel s*upid to me. Idk why other reviews got real angry with her, I love how she grew out of her initial mindset. It wasn't rushed.

What else, I love my head canons for each character. I'll tag them as spoilers. But, I think this story leaves a lot of room for imagination

THESE ARE HEAVYY SPOILERS, if you're planning to read this, I don't recommend reading my head canons.

Spoiler

I'll start with Gu Smtg, I like how he played the Schrödinger's cat game, but I really wanted them to have a paternity test and prove it's true. My headcanon is that they're related. Bc, although not delved too deeply, it said that his daughter was drowned in blackmail. But, why would they kill the daughter if they're using her for blackmail? She likely ran away and got swept by the river. And he says he sees some resemblance. I also like the complexity it adds between him and the ML.

I also like to imagine that MC provided a lot of help and support during the team raids when she joined that group. And has an awesome story to tell. Tho, I understood why the author didn't include it. I'd also feel it'd be a bit stretched out, and what if they don't write it well? I stayed for the two's relationship anyways, so it's just a fun thing to think of while reading the end

One of the most realistic apocalypse story. Without space ability or double decker RV to go through the ups and downs.

Everything makes sense and Miao Miao was a character that as humane as it can be. She's a normal girl who's not trained in martial arts, have her doubt, have many fears, and sometimes childish. But she can be very loyal and fierce when it comes to Qiming's welfare.

After so many dire challenges, I really happy that both of them finally can have their peaceful life back.

Thank you translator team... more>> for choosing this project. I'm satisfied. <<less

I loved it!
Spoiler

Although I much preferred the beginning and middle parts where they were alone compared to the rest

It was funny and kinda SoL but not devoid of the horrors of the apocalypse. The characters are far from OP so you feel more anxious for them than a lot of the apocalyptic novels I’ve read. I also love that these were mostly basic zombies, no super powers. I do enjoy those stories too but the more fantasy aspect of it sometimes takes away from the fun of the survival genre that a basic zombie apocalypse genre provides!

In any case I read it in a day and think many ppl can enjoy this story.

This is surprisingly good. I didn't expect much, just got interested because of the rating, but it hooked me, and I finished it in one go.

The author did a great job of creating a suspenseful situation. Many times, I had to stop reading because the situation was so bleak, and I felt dreadful due to their hopeless circumstances.

The novel focuses mainly on the ML and FL (and the dog). From the start, I really love the ML. He's strong and resourceful, not overpowered tho. Despite getting injured again and again,... more>> he remains positive and works so hard for both of them.

Although initially put off by the FL's complaints and pessimism, her transformation into a strong, proactive character battling zombies to keep him save made me love her so much.

Their love story is a highlight. I love that their relationship starts slowly, way more realistically. With only 58 chapters, their love story is so strong and consuming. I strongly feel their happiness when they lived in the villa, in the hotel, and then on the island. And my heart dropped when they faced disasters again and again.

Spoiler

They got their well-deserved happy ever after together. Not only them, even the dog found its own partner

Not exactly my cup of tea but don't get me wrong. The story isn't bad, I just wasn't in the mood for it. This novel is through and through Slice of Life, it's very iyashikei.

I'm sure if I read this when I'm in the mood for SoL, I would love it but I underestimated how much SoL it has. I was expecting a fast paced SoL but it is a very slow life.

MC met ML pretty early on, the story is pretty much how they bickers every day and how... more>> they build a new home in the middle of apocalypse. With a sprinkle of tiny action here and there, this story is really slow paced.

I skipped some chapters because of how slow it is but honestly that bias aside, if you're in the mood for slow life SoL, I think this is a solid one to read.

I really love the relationship between MC and ML. They had a very nice chemistry.

I don't have much to say for now but if I ever read this again with the right mood, I will give this review another go. <<less

It was a good novel, mtl was quite easy as half of the novel is translated. I liked it from the start but I think it was dragging in the middle a little bit. What I liked the most is the bickering between the ML and fl, they were hilarious even in the apocalypse, and I felt so bad for them when ML was in the research lab. It made me cry around the last. But still I really liked it

This is a great apocalyptic/ romance mix novel.

I love the way the story developed. The challenges the MC & ML faced throughout made them feel so relatable and admirable.

I also love the character development of FL which you can truly see as you read on.

Overall great novel when you like apocalypse genre with romance.
