I really dislike when authors choose to start their novel with constant action scenes. And though I think this is my first scenario of it, I especially disliked it in a horror genre novel where it jumped straight in with zero build up. Needless to say, the story hook felt weak, and hence, the horror elements mostly fell flat, though this was in part due to the writing style.

Bang! Shakalaka! The amount of times this fkn came up in the story frove me insane!!!! And I am 100% it is the translator rather than the original author on the Shakalaka! Often times it came up with no apprent meaning with where it was placed... at least the example I showed was shown from a gunshot, which I wish was also edited in separately instead of the same sentence with zero italics nor quotes.

I didn't really get far enough for the main plot, bit essentially, our MC is a paranormal investigator that shoots up weak demonic things.

The horror element which seemed the main factor of this story fell flat compared to others like my favorite My House of Horrors, though again, I think this part could be just due to the start of this novel, as I didn't get far enough to the main plot and another event where these came up again <<less

The novel is very fast paced especially if you are used to other web novels with thousand of chapters, it's very action focused with a central idea since the start, there is some minor humor here and there, characters interactions are fun, It's worth the time <<less
