One day, I found myself reincarnated in an 18+ game world full of powers and magics.

In this world, I have been reincarnated as a character known as the ‘Worst s*um in History’.

My character’s name is actually ‘Ultos’ but players usually refer to him as ‘Scum’. He is hated not only by the players but also by the game developers. From any perspective, he is truly a despicable character who is destined to meet a tragic end.

And so, I who have been reincarnated as Ultos in this game world thought,

I have no choice but to do it.

I have to do the complete opposite of everything Ultos does.

I must not do any scummy move ‘Scum’ does and change its character into a sincere, pure-hearted mob character!!!

However, my knowledge of the original story is quite hazy, one wrong step can lead straight to a future of death.

Even in such circumstances, I have no choice but to live as ‘Scum’ in this 18+ game world.

For the sake of my bright future, I need to be careful of everything I do.

I wish not to stand out and live peacefully in this world, however, I somehow end up creating countless of connections and conflicts with the other characters.

    Could have been a good story, but as is usual for these Japanese MCs with a hard-on for being "normal", the MC here is willing to do anything to survive, up to and including sacrificing every shred of dignity to boot lick the Original Protagonist and going out of his way to be as worthless and "mob-like" as possible.

    And this is despite him clearly being OP.

    And then going further, because obviously it's "comedy" this MC is as dense and ignorant as a black star, he simply cannot get his words... more>> out right amidst all the stuttering, causing other people to misunderstand him CONSTANTLY, or CONSTANTLY misunderstanding people because of how utterly IGNORANT he is, but that's basically par for the course when it comes to Japanese MCs, regardless of their type. <<less

    This novel is purely dogshit. I don't recommend.

    I picked this novel because I saw its manga. Man, I can't tolerate the MC behavior.

    1. He just want to be normal, but he keep looking the original storyline.

    2. He wants to be a good guy, sure we know it already, BUT YOU WANT TO BE VILLIAN. OH GREAT, NICE AUTHOR.

    3. He is so ignorant.

    4. He is "OH NO IM A virg*n GUY I DONT UNDERSTAND WOMEN" person.

    If these above I mentioned are the quirks you don't like, then don't read this novel.

    Not great.

    It starts interesting enough. But the MC gets OP soooo fast and he's also a bit of an idiot and a side character also seems to be retconned into being an idiot and a couple villains seem to misunderstand things in a way that's supposed to be comical but really it just results in them behaving nonsensically.

    I really appreciate more... consistency in the works I read. consistency of character and for the actions to have some degree of sense, and there are too many occasions of this series failing... more>> to do that.

    I'm hoping the LN version radically edits those parts but they probably won't. <<less

    This novel is similar to "My death flags"

    First story starts with MC who wants to be on the good side but his actions and words seem self stabbing this forced misunderstanding is must use of every Japanese author but the author failed to use this tag properly and MC doesn't even have one simple human dignity he is even willing to lick Original story MC boots, no he is about to do that because this is necessary stuff for survive his death flag.

    So, absolutely hate the main character. My personal theory is that the Japanese person that reincarnated as the main character brought over their memories but inherited the original villains IQ and in true Dunning Kruger fashion could not recognize this fact.

    For instance, the protagonist of the series is a tomboy nicknamed Sieg but whose real name is Siegland. The game can have the player be either male Sieg or female Siegland. Just because he's never heard anyone call the protagonist Siegland he assumes it's Sieg ♂ and when the protagonist... more>> starts wearing skirts and dresses for some reason he assumes the protagonists Father is forcing them to cross dress. This misunderstanding continues despite coming in contact with the body and feeling the chest is "fatty" etc.

    It's a Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute kind of main character in this series and I'm not into it. The reason for the low rating is while Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute outright hints to the MC being a brain dead Chuuni from the start, you got the feeling the MC of this series wasn't going to be so brain dead and that expectation was spectacularly betrayed after something like 30 chapters. <<less

    The novel's a light enjoyable fun read as long as you do not treat it seriously. So for a fun leisure read without taking it too seriously, the novel's a 4-5.

    Reading it seriously tho, its a 3 at best.

    MC's your usual trope of naive, clueless lead with virg*n Otaku over thinking, coupled with the standard Japanese culture of acting polite all times outwardly, "reading the room", while thinking/believing otherwise. It also drives home maybe Japanese education failed to teach critical thinking to the students.
