There is no base story or a fixed CP (like other quick-transmigration stories). There's not much of plot in the mini-stories - no revenge or any scheming/planning - the journey from s*um male to Prince charming is rather too quick...

Each arc is just the MC going into the body of a s*um guy, then becoming a perfect man, and living happily ever after with that world's FL. There's no information on his pov or any insight on his feelings etc...

Think of this story as a collection of perfect romances...

100% recommended.. I really salute the MC.. He never ooc and I really wish Wei Mingyan is real and like previous review says I really want to be the FL that marry Wei Mingyan.. He’s like the real Prince Charming ever.. It’s a very light reading and I usually get bored with QT novels but I really like this story a lot.. I could never be like Wei Mingyan whom could act his character so well.. He could fall in love with the FL in every arc within a second... more>> and after his task finish meaning he die, he revert back to his own character and then keep on pampering and loving different FL in every arc.. Truly respect him and thumbs up for the writer in this novel.. ???? <<less

So far this its the comfort food of novels, 100% doting, capable, no hardships, gentle, loyal, humble, filial, good, handsome, smart MC. He is just PERFECT, yet its great!!! Plus the worlds stories are kinda more unique than in other quick wear novels, my personal favorite thing to read was the sadly too often seen type of ML´s (you know rapist, violent, controlling, cold, selfish, hypocrite, arrogant, amoral, that would not know consent if it hit them in the face) been replaced or kick down and brushed aside by... more>> the MC.

So far its easy to read the novels as a bunch of similarly themed short stories. Its harder at least to me to enjoy if you consider it as the one novel it is. We havent yet see whats going through the MC´s head, for all we know he is all negative things inside his head or even a emotionless automaton going through the motions, or perhaps what we see its actual self, who knows. <<less

It is by no means bad, and the MC is so refreshing, especially seeing the usual genocidal machines we have in Chinese stories. The problem is that the story is kinda too simple.

Amongst other quick transmigration like novels, I think this one is worth the read. I think it's unique in that it's from the perspective of a male transmigrator in straight/BG worlds. I also think it's unique in that it has story arcs that I haven't seen in other similar novels, and it doesn't recycle common tropes or plots that you would find in other novels.

However while the story arcs are unique compared to story arcs from other novels, there's definitely a set structure within the arcs in this novel.
Spoiler

It's obvious from the title, but yes, MC does take over body of s*um male who has done wrong to the FL and does his best to prevent any harm coming to the FL by solving prior misunderstandings, becoming a changed man, and spoiling them to death once they're together, never letting the FL experience any ounce of hardships. Honestly, this ML's thigh is definitely one to hug. He has the perfect solution to everything that happens/will happen.

I wasn't really satisfied with the ending, it honestly felt a bit abrupt, but mainly to the fault of the author not building up so much on it during the arcs.

TLDR: While the general structure of each arc is a bit repetitive, it's definitely worth a read just for the unique arcs and stories, as well as the dog food that comes along with it.

4/5 rating but rated higher here to even out the negative reviews so other people will read.

I liked everything except the ending was kinda weird. And also as another reviewer said it would have been nice to see him take revenge against the s*um man instead of transmigrating into the s*um man. Overall, an enjoyable read.

Tbh... It is a very good novel... When I read it I always knew everything he did are all pretend and strategies but I still fell and cried my eyes out. And as time goes on I felt chill cuz our MC doesn't put real motions into those actions they are all acting. Well why do I say so...

1. In my opinion, he washes his love for his loved one so quickly after his life in each world ended without rest and continue to love someone else deeply in his... more>> new mission (that how it show when he start another world)

2. Our MC will stand out of the plot if it not threatening to the life or it will ruin his upcoming plans. He will not interfere or try to prevent it. He will only to rescue when it happens to make everything reasonable (like the doctor world, he knows the original father will have a car accident but he will not come to prevent it cuz it will make everything contrast with his persona. He only goes there to rescue and make it a coincident.) in my point of view, he is really a Schemmer and good at planning. It so good to the point of scary cuz we don't really know what he thinks of any of his action is real or fake.

3. The author never write how he look at things or what his origin was. Only built a perfect person and make him a dreamy man. He act of that set without tires for a lifetime. And continue to do so like a robots that has programs set up with various persona. His vest never fails. In my opinion it is really scary cuz he could really pretend.

And all that said if u ignore all this, we will got a very good emotional novel I cried bucket tbh. <<less

This is more like a series of short stories rather than a true transmigration novel, but if you are looking to scratch this particular itch, then it's very satisfying. It gives you the same satisfaction as popping a pimple & applying skin care, a sort of healing feeling when you see the original disgusting wrongs of the story righted by the replacement MC. All the things that could ruin these women's lives don't happen anymore, & sometimes it sounds too good to be true, heck, even the female leads in... more>> each world say repeatedly that it's like a dream, but I think it's a happy & hopeful dream that he's offering. It's a dream that could trap anyone with how sweet it is, even if it's a lie that he's made up, because he commits to the lie until death, & makes the women feel fulfilled & loved. It's a dream no one would want to wake up from, & reading this series is like indulging in that dream, knowing it's not truly such a beautiful life that we lead, but longing to hear that 'happily ever after' anyways.

I have to say, even knowing it was an act, I cried several times for the beautiful lies that this man made up, that have saved so many lives. Even if it's not real, I like it very much. <<less

It's good. I mean, it really is good.

Just, I think that 'quick transmigration' thing has no meaning at all. I mean it. There's no reward, there is no reason. The author never write the story from ML's point of view, the story just flow as if the personality that ML had was his own personality while we know that he's acting. 100%. It's as if this story just like another normal story without transmigration. It's as if the author make QT just so the story can jump from one arc... more>> to another. While we never knew why the hell the ML persistenly to do the task perfectly when we never knew his reason or motivation, and we knew that there is no reward from the system.

But really, he is acting, okay? 100%. And we never knew what he did, what he planed, or whatever things he did to make things happens. And we didnt know which one is a coincidence and which one is something that he planed. We didnt know what way did he use to complete the task, and why did he want to complete the task?

But overall it's good. At least to fulfill my daily doses for sweetness. And seriously, I really want to asked the author 'what the hell is that QT thing for?' hahaa <<less

This novel is surprisingly well-paced considering the fact that the first arc contained only 20 chapters. I enjoyed it a lot. The MC, Wei Mingyan, is a transmigrator who travels to other worlds to 'whitewash' the s*um character who he comes to possess. Why? Because it's his mission. Though, it being a mission isn't the primary focus of the novel.

In fact, you would have forgotten that all of this is just pretend since we aren't given a view of the mc's thought process and feelings. It's told from a third-person... more>> perspective and only shows the other characters' emotions and what they are thinking. Although some might be annoyed with this, I think it's a good decision on the author's part since the MC isn't really the focus here, but rather how Wei Mingyan's actions affect the people of the world he's in.

Again, it's easy to forget that everything was just an act on the mc's part since we get to see him live in the s*um character's body until the mission percentage is filled to 100%. Sometimes this means staying in that body for years. Never once did his acting faltered. Most arcs last until the MC and his spouse/other characters die from old age. And since it's told from the other characters' perspectives, his actions may be seen as genuine. Frankly, it had me fooled until I was once again reminded at the end of the arc that this was just a mission to Wei Mingyan when the system appeared to inform him that his mission in that world was finished and then proceeded to send him to another world. It really makes you question if everything is an act or if there were moments where he's actually being genuine.

Although it's all just a mission, Wei Mingyan acts very well. Really, you'd be tearing into your handkerchief in jealousy and asking yourself, 'Why can't I have a partner like that?' Trust me, I'd know since that was what I felt the whole time while MC spoils the target of his mission.

Speaking of the target, even though it's just a mission, you don't see Wei Mingyan treating people indifferently unless they cause issues for him. Actually, I realize just now that that may also be because of his spectacular acting skills, but it's nice that he didn't lose his humanity, unlike other MCs who did when they got stronger.

As I mentioned, the system doesn't play a huge part. It only appears at the end of each arc. It's a nice change since other stories use the system for plot development, but in this one, MC is just told to do one thing, and that's to whitewash the s*um character, but it's up to him how he achieves that. MC isn't op, just someone with a lot of skills, he still 'struggles' (it may be perceived that way by the others, because, again, it's told from their perspective).

If you like short stories or just something to pass the time, then you can read this. The plot isn't lengthy but it's not rushed, it has nice pacing. We're given a run-down of the 'should be' story of the s*um character and the author really just focuses on solving that. There is no filler, which I'm grateful about.

I recommend that you don't read it in one sitting though. Because eventually, you'd become uninterested due to its repetitiveness. Try reading one or two arcs, then come back to it again once you need to relax from an emotional story. <<less

At the beginning the story is kinda flat where the original story is told and MC kinda fix his s*umbag self and guard the mission person.

All the plot that happen in original somehow will always happen.

Like if there is a kidnapping in original story with tragedy then the kidnapping still happen but MC will save the day. It is like there is a power of plot that makes the event happens but the ending can be changed.

... more>> the vacation world is more flexible though it is still guardianship.

MC is overpowered from the beginning where he can do anything and also create his business kingdom in every world. In the end his identity was told but how he become that OP is not explained. <<less

Just treat it as if it were a compilation of stories or even the MC being forced to fully immerse himself in acting because that's what's he's doing. We could not grasp yet who he is besides his name, but we could tell that he's very quick and clever on how to whitewash the OG likee real quick, maybe it's charisma? I really don't know but he can manipulate a lot of people to feel good about his person. It's a decent novel. But you really can't treat it as a novel with a transmigrator that completes tasks. The MC have no original personality at all. He's very immersed in all his roles, thus the story is kind of like tens of stories that compiled into one book.

The pampering is great though, just wish there's more scenes into the romance part of the stories. Also last thing, every arc there's always a long monologue from the Villains, which are extremely hateful. I just skim or skip it most of... more>> the time. <<less

People talking about non-realistic stuffs in this novel don't know what the Fantasy Genre here is for,

It's Fantasy, Fiction, or so, Names, characters, places and incidents are products of the author's imagination.

Must've been a newbie at NU or Fantasy/Transmigration community,

Also... Great Novel! But sad thing is that he needed to leave the world, and forget about it, it just so sad thinking about his Family...

It's quite a good read and entertaining enough. The first arc is soooo mediocre, but it gets better. I had to stop at this chapter because mtl is too hard to comprehend. I don't get why the other reviews hate on this because MC pampers whoever the system says he should pamper. Isn't that the goal of a world-hopping MC? To complete his tasks in every world. We get bits of romance, but it's not really fleshed out.

He's also not devoid of emotions. Actually, this is the part that I... more>> didn't like about this QT. Instead of being a character who should have collected a bunch of skills due to world-hopping, he becomes the 'actual' person he transmigrates into. For example, if the body he occupies for one arc is a silly dumb boy, he also becomes a silly dumb boy even in his thoughts. It's so lackluster how MC does not bring his experiences as he hops into different worlds. I don't know if it's actually part of the plot or the author just forgot that MC is someone who has lived through various worlds. <<less

This novel has many flaws, but it's a good ride for me. Although I don't know what's the system or why he should transmigrated in 'novels', I like his acting (lol). If you want to read short stories with almost no conflict and has a happy ending, then you might like this novel.

Spoiler

Wei Mingyan is a National Teacher who was buried in a snowy mountain by the Royal Family, they hoped that Wei Mingyan can be resurrected in the future to assist the Royal Family descendant. Wei Mingyan reincarnated in a lot of worlds to do 'good deeds' so that he can be resurrected. After he finished his reincarnation cycle, he went back to the snowy mountain and helped that Zheng girl because she's the Royal Family descendant. (I think) he opened a book store as a memorial because he went through a lot of novel worlds.

I'm giving this a fairly high rating for now because it's pretty unique in the transmigration genre of stories on NU.

It was refreshing to read a male!MC QT (quick transmigration) novel with a very pro-active protagonist who's goal is to turn tr*sh into a good person.

The stories are mostly romantically geared (but later on there will be arcs / breaks that won't have such a goal), so most people can take this as bite-sized bits of QT-romance.

Readers have complained that there isn't really a backstory and MC doesn't have an... more>> "original" personality -- this is all valid criticsm. The arcs are best enjoyed like separate episodes of a TV show that weren't interconnected. The MC's real personality isn't really the focal point of the story, and the author will basically never reveal it.

Spoiler

If you really want a spoiler, the MC's preference are for the arcs without any romance. When he takes a break, he acts as some kind of elder (father/uncle) type figure and is kind of like those wise Taoists with magical skills.

Oh, he's also always extremely handsome and youthful even if he is 50 yrs old in those arcs.

[collapse]

Overall, I recommend this as a very relaxing / slice-of-life read.

Translation isn't bad; I read the raws after chapter 80 (in Chinese). <<less
