This web novel, I have a special hatred for it.

Firstly,

(CHARACTERS)

    • This is the first time I feel like the MC is the villainess. Her character is way too dependent on the ML, (I don't have a problem with that but it grinds on my gears that she acts like everything she does is justified because she has the ML)
    • Both the ML and the MC have violent ways of dealing with the villains. Yes, the villainesses do bad things but the way the ML/MC duo deal with it is just disgusting.

      I'm talking r*pe, cut off tongues, mutilation, forceful imp**gnation and more.

    • I don't recommend reading this novel if you dislike the white lotus/green tea bit*h FL. The ML and MC would be considered bad people if they were in different positions in the story, but obviously, they have the main lead halo in this story.
    • The side characters feel so hollow? Like cannon fodder but with no backstories or substance. Everything revolves around the MC, even the side stories.
Secondly,

(PLOT)

    • The author incorporates just plot and romance. There is no humour, there is a lot of romance but even that feels sickening for some reason (like I'm watching the second FL and the SML- the villains- sleep with each other. Like one of those novels where the FL's sister and fiance have an affair, the fiance runs to the FL's sister and breaks off the relationship with the FL)
    • Does the author know how to write without making the story tedious and without including elements of extreme violence and revenge r*pe?
    • CLICHED. Too many cliches.
    • Our typical poor girl finds her biological family is wealthy and established trope. Face slapping and dog blood. Of course, the FL definitely cannot remain poor and just cannot establish herself without a rich boyfriend and an insanely affluent, rich family that help her climb the ladder.
    • The villains themselves have no substance. Why are they bothering the FL if she's not bothering them? It's quite dumb, in my honest opinion. They don't have many motivating factors except for some misled "she did this to me, I lost everything because of her." Please, grow up.
Overall, very very disappointed in this story. I'm dropping it.

1 star for the translators.

Its fine, FL strong, ML not abusive dominering. Its a good read if you are bored and nothing else to do.

Can be a little confusing sometimes. Like how she wanna be a diplomat but has entertainment industry as a hobby.

If you dont like brainwashed chinese, then dont read it, its the typical brainwashed chinese stuff that the army is the biggest pride of their contry, and everything they to is for the greater good.

Example army kidnapps FL and leave her on a island to sruvive alone with 5 other girls whitout food or equipment. Shes not an soldier, and she has alredy said no to join the army before she was kidnapped by the army. When she finds out it was the army, she dosent get anrgy or think the army did anything wrong. Same with er family/friends, they all panick when they find out shes kidnapped, but completly stops to try and save her when they hear it is the army. Since it is the army, then it is OK, they just laught about it and continue their life like normal.

Pretty f*cked up if you ask me. They are so brainwashed to think the army is "the good guys"... but "good guys" dont kidnapp little girls and leave them on an island to survive. Its ab*se of power to be allowed to take innocent citizen against their will and try to force them to join the army. <<less

I can't understand how there are already two 1 star reviews :/

It's not "that" bad. The story isn't the typical cold and ruthless MC and ML. MC is all about repaying her grandma and make a future for herself. But it's kinda confusing tbh. She wants to become a foreign affairs officer but has an actress as her plan B? Huh? I mean, at this point idk. Both are probable, but maybe the actress route seems more promising because she got cast in a movie already.

ML behaves pretty innocently for... more>> a 26 yrs old man lol. MC isn't innocent, she's determined. And I like that.

The white lotus is as hateful as any other green tea bish out there. She's also a brat, but that's understandable. Still a bish tho. Her mother is worse cause she's brainless. Her father is one of the worst hypocrite I saw in a novel. Overall, bad review for that family :P

The story is quite slow-paced, and this is definitely a type of MC who needs to "grind" her way up. Also, she's definitely the damsel in distress kind of MC. If that ain't your cup of tea, better change to another novel. But sometimes she's too rash. It's a good and bad trait at the same time. <<less

This is so badly written. The dialogues make you cringe, the logic is so off, and the characters are so one dimensional. I will not recommend reading this.

This book is how do I say this? Too boring? There was nothing wrong with the book, I dropped at like chapter 40 so smthn cause I got so bored from reading it that I’d rather watch one of those vids of an elephant getting rescued from a pit.

ML is quite likeable and cute type not the typical cold CEO but the MC, a 28 year old lady being reborn doesn't really act her age. She is quite rash. She is 'hmm ok' for me I guess.

The reason I am dropping this novel is that I could not stand the hypocritical father, her step sister and her husband from previous life. Those characters makes me wanna puke. Sorry but I didn't wanna be too mean but that is the truth. Never saw such shameless characters anywhere else (oo... more>> might have in some novels).

Well anyway, I dropped this. Might pick up later when I will have nothing else to read and can just turn my brain cells off. <<less

anyways, to sum it all up: drama drama drama drama. The sweet parts r boring n repetitive. Oh and the only personality trait that ALL n I mean ALLLLLLLLLL the antagonists have is that they fall for someone who is taken or in love with someone else

thats it.

ah and also I reccomend to try finding a fluffy story to read after u become fed up with this novel cus ur brain, mind, body, soul, n spirit is gonna need it. Thank me later

This story became quite boring to me. The beginning was okay, but at a certain point it went on too long for my taste. The search for the big bad of MC's previous life and this life went on for almost the entire novel. In her previous life she did not even know he existed.

Every character who doesn't like MC has a screw loose and wants to completely destroy or kill MC. There a way too much of these characters.

I stopped reading at around ch. 1200 and read a few... more>> chapters in between until the end based on chapter titles. <<less

This is your regular Mary Sue among rich people novel with a rich and powerful military ML.

The FL despite having lived until she was 26 in her past life with even a grade school aged kid behaves like a short-sighted teenager in this life. On top of that she gets kidnapped relatively often, considering how the average person gets kidnapped once at most. She also has zero self-awareness/danger awareness so she does her thing and gets kidnapped on the way or dragged into dangerous situations from which she is always... more>> rescued by the ML.

As someone who likes strong, independent and hard-working FLs, this one does not fit my criteria. While the author tries to make her out to be a strong and hard-working the fact that she is a crybaby, literally crying every few chapters makes me rather think that the FL is the reincarnation of a water sprinkler.

The ML is fine, doting from the very beginning albeit a bit dense until he realizes his feelings.

What bothers me aside from the FL being a water irrigation system is how quickly things escalate. Like... it's unbelievably unrealistic. DNA tests also take a few hours, then three days and then a shorter time again... Not sure what to think of that...

Oh! And the author is also very clumsy with foreshadowing. It takes all the mystery and tension out of the plot when the author just directly tells you 'blablabla At that moment he was not yet aware that she was his daughter, but he still felt drawn to her blablabla' (not a direct quote but close). Sure, I was already aware that the guy was probably the FL's father since the author was not exactly subtle with the obvious hints. But I mean, dude, can't you let the reader figure these things out themselves? Being too obvious is a total turn off.

Generally, I wouldn't mind reading this kind of plot, but I kinda grew weary and the small complaints kept accumulating so I dropped the novel. <<less

assuming that she should be old enough to have a child who can speak (because there's no enough background story given by the author—or did I miss it?)

This is the reason why I don't like it:

Firstly, I felt lost when she lost her child. She stood there in the funeral with blank look and in order to 'convince' her husband she stripped? Hell no. At least give the child a peaceful funeral please.

I also felt at first that the author is trying hard to make her hate her husband because it was not stated enough why she should (because she loved him one-sidedly? Or because he didn't believe her?) actually I felt it was all a misunderstanding caused by her bit*hy sister. But yeah I haven't finished it yet.

Secondly, when she came back and realized her wish to come back was granted, her first reaction was not to plan for her future and avenge her poor son (hell I didn't even feel the same amount of hatred and pain a mother like her should have when losing a child like I did in a historical story) but to come find trouble with her arrogant classmate when in fact she can just ignore them and prove them wrong in the examination, why flaunt her change and invite trouble for her grandma? It was natural that they won't believe her because only she knows that she was not the same as before.

Thirdly, her wish is to fight with her 'actress' sister in the university and metaphorically start a war head on. It's like fighting with a kid still on univ. Honestly but yeah go on she's a daughter of satan after all. But it would be nice to dig her a grave slowly but surely then push her when she's at the peak of her life. :)


She's kind of brainless and rash sometimes but the good thing is that she's kind. She's a loving grand daughter.

I gave it three stars because: I haven't fully finished the story so I won't cement it as it is yet. The translation so far is good and understandable. The ML (just appeared so I don't have my own views yet but,) as others had a good review on his character, I'll give it to him.

I'll see if there is more redeeming quality in this story next time.♥ <<less

I know there are a lot of reviews stating that the novel is not that that good..

I have read to chapter number 205.

The novel gets interesting towards the end.

She gets better at studies and the mother of the villainess dies soon.

So her previous family is not shown for a lot of time.

It was later found out that she is not even a biological sister off that canon folder villainess. But still somehow that family keeps coming in between.

The villainess is hateful.

The MC after rebirth tries to improve her future and her living condition in order to support her grandma.

Her main objective is to become a foreign expert or officer and her plan b is to be an actress.

There were a lot of times when I just wanted to drop the book.

Female lead is very impressive. She wastes her time and energy on a relevant things and opinions. She is is over confident and childish to some extent at the same time she is is also a damsel in distress.

The antagonist is frustrating. The novel clearly has those parts where the author is just trying to make the book long with irrelevant chapters.

The novel has loopholes.

The villainess kids acting like a green tea which and everyone somehow believes her.

It's like the public does not have brain.

However the novel does get interesting later on because our male lead is very powerful.

There is good amount of face slapping. If you are one of those persistent people who can read the novel even after being frustrated to the extreme, then it's okay.

I wanted to keep reading the book but it is not fully translated.

Give it a try it's not that bad. In fact its it gets better.

It is also very interesting with some suspense about her real family.

You will like it if you I like reading modern novels where the female leads start from the bottom. <<less

Lmao, I was touched with Zhai Shanshi in chap 23 xD but Uck, I know in my heart that FL was deserved to be with the ML, its just ahhh its so touching as he want to happy to the same university with her and then witness everything all about her and stuff, I mean its just >3< sweet for me

Feel like every villain has the victim mind its always " it's because of you I'm like this situation" "why is everyone against me"

Then there is this story of ye jinyu the beginning makes me go crazy

Looking for a for surrogate mother... do not want to date and marry but f*cked her instead of using ivf

Like seriously I'm disgusted to no end... who does that it makes me chill they even thought of something

Don't say the don't know what ivf is they clearly know... it was just mentioned a few chapters before... it feels like the author wanted to drag it on hence invented some shit... which makes no sense

And that girl takes money to surrogate gave up her children but still goes after the father

Cut its not even worth 2 ** <<less
