This is only for those people who likes smut (100%) and those who like stockholn syndrome, and those who likes (even though yoy've killed all my friends family members etc I still love you)

f*cking hell. This would've been 4.5 stars for me if he tried to resist a lil bit and not act like a f*cking damsel in distress. I'm not being a hater but it's just true! I was in love with the story at first but it keeps ticking me off chapter after chapter.

This is not a... more>> fluffy bl, the characters are bland, there's no development except with the male lead (but only slightly) very one dimensional ugh.

Thinking off revenge stuff when you're just a f*cking loser god dammit!! I hate those characters, the MC has no backbone, you have a V and you act like a p**sy!

The only thing I like about this is how the translator did her/him job like a professional.

I'm sorry I don't like this. Don't read this to those fujoshi who has a clear mind, those who like QWF nu uh, this is a white lotus MC ya'll wouldn't like it. <<less

I'd like to say this book is very well translated and it's understandable. It's not any chicken scratch english or any hard to understand Chinese terms. The story pacing isn't too fast not is it too slow. It's in fact a very good pacing. It starts right off the bat with the kingdom ending. I can't tell much else but boy is it too good!!

This story, I think its depend who read it,... Its depend on the reader opinion...

For me,.. its suck and worst story,.. yes, in the beginning its was good,... But, the futher you read, the more I fell its super suck!

Hey, dude! Its your family get killed! You mother and all your people die!... Crap, and what MC do? Just moan under ML body! What the f*cking... And what is the end?? You fall for ML so easy like that?!.,.. where is your brain man!... the MC was so weak,..

and last... more>> the plot kinda rush,... So, its lack of everything,...

The ML, he was reall asholle, is that a love?! Dude you want to kill your second son,... OMG... dont forget you also destroy MC homeland.... What the heck...

These two stars go for the smut. I won't lie. Smut was a-OK in my book.

MC? Unimpressive, weak, and shallow.

ML? Run of the mill. Possessive, high-handed, and h**ny 24/7.

... more>> Interesting side characters? Nil, at most a woman who killed herself.

Plot? Nah. Just Stockholm syndrome, typical fare of thinly veiled r*pe/ab*se s*x play story line when in fact from the first chapter you know exactly what will happen; MC should hate ML, will give a bad attempt to resist, get f*cked, have more inner turmoil, then by the end of the story be 100% in love.

If you take the time to think of all the inner monologue and arguments MC used to convince himself, little logic will come forth other than his carnal desire and emotions (yes, these things are not logical at all).

MC loving the ML, for one large portion, b/c ML 'accepted' his body. Ah, isn't it great to have someone who doesn't hate on your body? If they give this semblance of kindness to you, naturally you are so desperate that no one else will fall in love with you, you'll return their affections for sure. Very common notion of worthlessness women (and others) have in an abusive relationship.

But, you know, I guess if MC didn't fall in love with him (which would actually make more sense), this would be a guaranteed tragedy of A) MC r*ped4lif, or B) MC su*cides,

TBH this should be a 4.5/5 rating but NU doesn't have a rating system like that, anyway back to my review.

WOW.... like, I didn't think that I would get that much character development in 7 chapters but here it is. I wasn't expecting anything grand for a novel tagged with 'Smut' because let's be honest, we all know why we (readers) are here. Because all I was expecting was straight up Dark PWP but what I got was something with substance.

I know everyone is aprehensive about the 'R*pe' tag considering... more>> this novel has a 'Romance' tag as well. It is what it is, no one can justify what was done to the MC. But after that part was done most of the smut was implied

their smut scene wasn't anything extremely horrid, but well written and translated in comparison to other novels.

What I do love is the introspection the MC does of his changing feelings towards the ML. He hates the ML because he was the reason his remaining family killed but he also questions the 'what if' his country wasn't attacked- like what would happen to him who was pretending to be the heir (his sister) and the consequence of it.

I wish this was longer, yet it's already good enough as it is.

I personally think that that MC fell for the ML because he (ML) accepted his body as it is. The MC has always been ashamed of having both sexes (look up inter**x) and yet ML accepted all of him and fell in love 1st. I don't know if the author did it on purpose but they wrote a story with body acceptance for an MC who always considered himself weird.

So much better than my expectations!!!

ML also so much better than what I feared!

Yes there's Non-Con, their first time. The rest are Dub-Con. The final is Pure Full Consensual! 👍 There's good reasons why MC can fall for ML and he did! ML NEVER hurt MC! There's only one time where he threatened him by saying he would hurt his maids if he didn't listen to him. But it was only a saying. The maids are always fine! Also ML never use violence against MC.

The s*x always full of Pleasure! Always... more>> Pleasure! Seriously, this Novel has the BEST s*x SCENES EVER!!!! Super Extremely HOT and Absolutely Pleasant to read! Even for MC's non-con first time, ML give taste of pleasure and no 'pain'.

The plot is Great! The interaction between MC and everyone else were pretty interesting. The tension and the fluff. The last scene between MC and certain Concubine left impression. Love that scene!

The story is well balanced for Serious Conflict and Internal Feelings plus few Romantic moments, for novel with only long but 7 chapters. And the ending is well Satisfying! Sure the story is not perfect, but it was very well done and has great ending to me. So yeah, I'm Loving it!!! Love this Novel!!! <<less

The translation is good quality, first of all.

I am just at Chapter 1 but the plot is flowing well enough, the background are set up nicely, the characters don't seem 2 dimensional, and there is still intrigue on how the MCs will interact. This novel absolutely doesnt deserve 1 stars rating. I am currently enjoying it well :)

This is a standard smutty BL... Not for newbies of those who may be iffy about explicit mm content. Though the story is nothing special, the translator has done a superior job, hence the 4 stars. Recommend for dedicated BL fans

The smuts are to die for! The r*pe scenes were too good, it was so hard to consider them as r*pe. Hahaha! The author is an expert in writing smuts, he/she took no apprehensions at all! A thousand thumb ups! :D But, I'm giving 4 stars because I can't adjust to the ML addressing himself in a third person manner. It was a mood breaker. (-_-)

And, although it was somehow sweet, I don't think it's that easy to fall in love with someone who has killed your whole family... more>> and stole your country just because he cares for you or save you from some troubles. he didn't even fight that much and when he realized he was in love, he just accepted it as it is? I would've gone crazy and killed myself. The way he resists is so passive, it makes my head hurt. He acts all angry, reminding himself how the emperor killed his family, took their country, etc, but he ALWAYS ends it with a, "but what is this feeling...?" like WTF. He never even tried to seriously kill himself. Never even tried to fight physically, except at first when the ML r*ped him but he so easily lost himself to pleasure! He was so quick to give in! Tf! And during the last chapters when he was contemplating about life and he said that maybe the fall of his country was fated and he thought back to how he was always confined back then and compare it to his situation at present and the moment ML first appeared in his sight. He makes it sound romantic. I just can't with this bland idiotic foolish MC. But at least there was that one time he tried to kill the ml.

In any case, the MC is disappointing af. Almost forgot he wasn't a woman, too. Passive af and did I mention disappointing? Also, he didn't even have a decent conversation with the ml. At all. All they did was smex. So, just based on that, he fell in love with ml? What about the cruelty that your lover bestowed on your family and countrymen, mc? Let's face it, MC is weak. Harsh but true.

The MC forgives the ML for r*ping him and killing his entire family and kingdom just because the ML accepted his body? That's it? He acted all angry and stuff but in the end, when the ML tried to let him go he said no because he fell in love with him. What? I mean I might be able to understand it because if he left the ML he basically has nowhere to go but how can one fall in love with the person who's responsible for their family's death? The tag was there to warn me that they become a couple but I didn't expect the plot to be like this. I will give this three or four stars if they didn't end up together.

Maybe this is a s*upid way to start a review but here It goes...

I rate by 3 criteria:

1. Does it suit the genre?

... more>> 2. Is it well-written? (the author's style etc.)

3. Did I actually like the story (i.e. Did I feel anything, did I care about the characters/did I hate them, originality, etc..)

(Also, I've read a lot of BL, and to be honest, if it wasn't for them being a BL novel, I would have thought most of them were honestly, well... crap! But I'm thirsty, so I have to grade them on a curve.)

The verdict: I liked this story!

1. It was on point for the genre (BL), and the sub-genre (smut).

2. It was not only well written but it was beautifully translated.

3. Did I feel something while reading the story? H*ll yeah! I felt a lot of things, and not all pleasant. But I was emotionally invested! I don't like or agree with many things that happened in this story, but it's a story, not reality. It's a safe place to explore different ideas and scenarios. I'm a sensitive soul, but I wasn't so outraged that I lost interest either. The smutty stuff was very well written as well.

For what the novel was supposed to be, it's really good! Thank you to the Translator, you're doing the gods (Or whatever higher power or lack thereof) work!

I read a lot of hate for this title, and I agree that everyone (justly) has their tolerance levels, and that's valid and should be respected. But I sincerely hope anyone reading reviews, trying to decide if this book is worth their time, will take into consideration that just because some topics or scenarios are offensive, doesn't mean that it's not worthwhile.

I'm an open minded person, so I don't really mind the r*pe tag. But what I can't tolerate were angst, don't worry, this story doesn't have any angst. Quite fluffy actually, hehehe... and the smut, oh, don't even mention it, it's like I'm there watching them, it was written in very detail. Just a story of 2 idiots who really in love with each other, with lots of fluff!

It's exactly as advertised with some extra plot and actual character development. It also has these subtle little moments where it becomes clear that none of the characters are really free. MC is very passive and adaptable in his beliefs because he was raised under the stifling weight of his mother's disappointment. ML is given the illusion of autonomy but you realize that he has had to maintain very thick walls with everyone around himself and created this domineering persona to ensure his own survival. Their relationship is believable and... more>> the way they find what little freedom they can in one another is beautiful.

I see some other reviews complaining about MC's obliviousness and I want to throw in my two cents: MC was raised to believe his body was disgusting and that he himself was completely undesirable. ML is also his sworn enemy who drags MC into a dangerously undernegotiated (consent is very blurred here) relationship. MC's 'obliviousness' is very understandable in this context.

The story is well structured, doesn't overpromise (but does exceed expectations), and has excellent smut scenes. <<less

the ML is a psycho, a rapist, a killer, Tyrant and colonist !!! He has no Good qualities except that he fell in love with the MC at first sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the MC is weak s*upid, Lacks confidence and courage His only good qualities are that he loves his family and people and is loyal to them but guess what ! He tolerated their unjustified death and fell in love with their killer dude !!!!!... more>> He is a masochist who feels s*xual pleasure from his rapist even without using medicine !!!!

sorry I tried so hard but cant find a reason to give this novel a higher rating

The advantages of this novel are that the writing method is excellent the translating is so good and the smut is amazing <<less

As a work of fiction I love this story, but I feel the need to put a disclaimer out that in real life certain happenings would be unnaceptable.

There are s*x scenes and they're steamy; but the rest of the story's also pretty great and I wish it was longer since the harem drama was just the way I like it, though its shortness might be directly connected to how fond of it I am.

I think this is all I can say without spoiling it too much. If someone's reading this... more>> while trying to decide if they should read it, I strongly encourage you: Tl did a great job; MC and ML are sexy; and as long as you keep in mind that this was written as entertainment and a relatively short story you should enjoy yourself! <<less
