Bian Yi was the antagonist of a BL Novel who got his body stolen by a transmigrator.

Bian Yi became aware of that fact only after being imprisoned for more than a decade.

In this book, Bian Yi and his childhood friend Kou Li, who also happened to be the Gong Protagonist, fell in love with each other and got married. However, when Kou Li suffered a decline in his business, Bian Yi left his son and ran away. The antagonist canon fodder who ran away didn’t expect that Kou Li would be able to rise again in a few days, nor did he expect that the son he abandoned would become an absolute genius in the future.

The transmigrator was sent to the moment Bian Yi left home. He, who was well aware of the plot, and had the same face as Bian Yi, brought big bags of gifts to Bian Yi and Kou Li’s home.

The door was opened and a storm brewed into the eyes of the man at the other side of the door.

The transmigrator tilted his head, smiled at Kou Li, and said to him: “What is it? You know how hard it is to raise a kid, right? Don’t be angry with me, I brought you a present.”

Since then, both his husband and son no longer belonged to Bian Yi.

Ever since that moment, the trapped Bian Yi tried everything to escape. However, he failed to free himself every single time. In the end, he died with great resentment.

Bian Yi thought that this would be the end of his miserable life, but he never expected that a voice, who claimed to be a ‘Revenge System’, would find him.

Bian Yi then returned to the first year after being replaced.

The first thing Bian Yi did, once he came back, was to buy a knife at a supermarket and rush towards Kou Li’s house. As he held the knife against his former husband’s neck, he shouted crazily: “Are you f*cking blind?!”

There was blood dripping on the floor.

Bian Yi was pinned against the wall, and his neck was bitten roughly by that man.

Kou Li, whose lips were still stained with Bian Yi’s blood, was acting even madder than Bian Yi. When suddenly, Bian Yi heard that man’s hoarse voice ringing in his ears: “After seventeen years, you’re finally back.”

Loved the concept of hatred born out of love.

But, it felt very short, and thus the plot was very simple, and uninteresting. What I loved was MC and ML's interactions. Both having PTSD, and hatred for each other, it was interesting for me to see. The novel starts with showing how another soul transmigrated and MC watched this soul through the screen for 16 years of imprisonment in the first chapter. Thus, he is now out, and with lots of trauma, and hatred.

I loved how both wanted to kill each... more>> other in the beginning. And tho later we get to know why ML also wanted to kill MC, it didn't hit the spot for me, though I get their reason.

The novel being short, I just feel all characters didn't get time to flesh out. It's completely about MC and ML, which makes sense. Afterall, it's about healing with each other. I love the concept, and it could be a really good angsty romance, with hate, love, healing, the one where both of them with bite each other at any chance.

This potential makes me a bit disappointed, so I'm gonna off a star.

Because their trauma gets resolved pretty smoothly for something so messy. What angsty? Just seems like a normal couple argument. Anyway, loved the beginning, but it got really dull after all secretes were revealed.

They were acting so normal ugh. Trauma isn't so easy to let go.

Anyway.

I somehow forced myself to finish it because its just a few chapters. :) <<less

This novel was certainly a new plotline despite having the common system plot.

While it gave one another viewpoint on system missions and human greed, it captured a tragic story.

Even though having barely 40 chapters, the story does accomplish some feelings. I did get quite immersed in this story and the emotions of the characters.

... more>> The amount of chapters as well as the pacing were chosen fittingly any longer and the story would have felt dragging.

The characters had some kind of depth in them caused by their trauma. So even though the MC was quite ordinary for a MC, he did show some factors that made him interesting.

The dynamic between the MC and ML was pretty well developed and I rlly like that there weren’t any love triangles. It was rather a story depicting the internal changes between two old lovers still loving each other but having to deal with mental issues.

Spoiler

The one thing that threw me off a bit was the fact that the world didn’t rlly care for an identical replica of a person living in place of another. Somehow no one drew the question about more replicas existing in the world. No one was surprised that MC spawned out of nowhere.

[collapse]

All in all a well written short novel. It was rlly enjoyable to read. It will prlly not stick in my head tho so just 4 stars for me. <<less

I loved the author's representation of mental illness and PTSD, it made me become eager to read every single word about the main couple's relationship as soon as possible, turning this novel into a real page-turner.

I found the system plot to be ridiculous towards the end, but it was original and refreshing, never read something like this before.

Final note, I'll never be able to approach transmigration stories the same way again lmao.

Really have to give this author respect for such a unique take on the transmigration genre, it was very refreshing. I also enjoy that they used my favorite kind of male lead type (obsessive, emotionally not together, possessive) and my favorite kind of MC (smart, vicious, but devoted). So this has a lot going into it for me. HOWEVER. I feel that this was too short to really give me a satisfying romantic/ emotional development, and I think the development of the actual plot was also really stunted because... more>> this was so short. This is just how I feel, sadly. <<less

i always wondered what would happen if the soul of the body whom the transmigrator have taken over isn't really gone, what then? This somehow answered my question.

this definitely a unique take on transmigration, it portrays some of the horror of it. The synopsis is a bit confusing, for me, because the male lead did know his partner is no longer the MC. The suffering was not one sided, which again was fresh. It was a very interesting read with a new take on old trope. I agree to the... more>> others, an extra about the child's story would be nice.",) <<less

Never really much review any novels I read, but this one I can't help but review it. I really love the way the plot is, making me fascinated so much. I thought there will be too much angst when I read the sypnosis which make me avoid reading it again and again, but I realised after reading it I almost miss a gem🤧, this is full of fluff to me with a bit of bitterness in it.

Although when reading transmigration novel, I always questions about where the og go and... more>> how they die. This novel makes me see it in another perspective where the og is still alive and force to see what the fake did through his body. Seeing everything but can't do anything is the cruelest torment for anyone experience it.

Really love the characters exploring all the tension, the hatred and the love and healing phase they experience. They are one of my favourite couple and family. Truly recommended it for everyone to read it. <<less

! Such a fresh take on the many reused tropes in transmigration.

Excited to be the 'chosen one' to be the main protagonist? Want to have Golden Fingers to rule the world?

You can.

But at what cost? This is the other side of the transmigration story. And it damn well tugs my heart

10/10 story. The plot is very different perspective to a Transmigration story. I love the MC and ML dynamic as well as the side characters.

Aw, I used to avoid this story like a plague cause some reviewers said it's quite angsty... and since I'm allergic to angst, I don't read it. Turns out, it's not really an angsty story. I loveee the MC's attitude to the ML, his complicated feeling, his resentment, his reluctance, even when he knows that ML is not at fault, bcs sometimes ppl are just like that, feeling is irrational. It took some times for them to warm up to each other again

As a fan of transmigration and [good] QTs, I really loved this one. Showed a little dark side to taking over someone else's body and what could have happened to the original host, and the sinister intentions systems could have.

It was heartache inducing at times but I really loved it overall. I wish we could get more extras on the MC and ML's recovery and happily ever after but I understand that this wasn't meant to be super long and I still liked how the extras focused on explaining the... more>> world. <<less
