Okay, so this novel is a bit mixed when it comes to what people think of it, and that's to be expected. Honestly, you can't view it as a complex story, you have to go in knowing it's pure smut. Does the main character have Stockholm syndrome? Yes. I say yes because in a base sense of the definition, it's true. He was abducted, he did grow to trust and love his abductor, but there's more to it than that. While he was abducted, r*ped, and confined, he wasn't forcefully... more>> manipulated, treated violently, or ab*sed beyond that. He was taken care of, his opinions were considered and his captor didn't try to change him as a person. In the end, while there was some manipulating, it wasn't a "my way or the highway (violent force) " situation.

MC wanted to learn how to cook in the new world and ML said he wanted something in return. He taught MC how to cook, and what he wanted in return was for MC to hold onto him when they did it, rather than the bedsheets. When MC forgot or seemed hesitant, ML didn't get angry, just moved his hand back to where he wanted it.

This also needs to be viewed from an isekai, new culture, standpoint. In this world, you find your destined mate and you're set. Everyone is animalistic and carries their base animal instincts into their actions. Animals are very sexually driven, and the culture reflects that. From what it sounds like, if MC went out into the world, he wouldn't be able to provide for himself, would likely be captured by someone else, and could be treated even worse because he's considered very beautiful here. While I'm not saying ML was right, I am saying that he was probably the best possible outcome. Doesn't make him good, but they both end up loving each other and MC doesn't really seem to have been manipulated into that. ML knew he'd done wrong, but also knew he couldn't change what he did or go against his instincts in the future. ML had to compromise as much as he possibly could, and did so without hesitation.

Moving on, the story itself is a bit thin. Going in knowing it's pure smut helps, but even beyond that, it's still a bit thin. The chapters aren't very long and I'm not actually happy with the limited depth. As a premise, I'm good with the story, but as for how it's written, less so. It needs a good rewrite in my opinion. Not to change anything, just to go through and expand on it. Take each paragraph and add to it for it to be more fulfilling. <<less

This is good. Short but okay. Not so much plots, more on smutty stuff and smut is not that exaggerated. Well, they started wrong. Maybe if it's longer, and plot progress well this will be a good story. It caters to smut plot. It's a Stockholm Syndrome too but it's mild compared to others with Stockholm Syndrome theme. It's fine to read, and they have babies. 🤩

This is an example of what a romanticized toxic relationship that people fantasize about. Is it healthy? Hell no. Is it a good smut read? Yep.

MC definitely got Stockholm'd and the plot surprising did well in show casing his downfall to ML. I think MC's simple-minded personality helped alot as there's no real in depth introspection. He rationalizes MLs thoughts and actions like a true Stockholm'd person to make the situation less scary.

I think I would have liked more world and character building. More of ML's POV and a POV... more>> of the people that know the ML like friends and family to see their reactions. I know the theme of the story was for MC's confinement but the end makes me want to see what the world thinks of their relationship. Especially when at the beginning of the story, MC's isekai nature is not new in the first place <<less

Read it in one sitting—definitely a fun read. It's straightforward smut with barely any plot, but it's still super entertaining. The ML is a very devoted lover.

The MC described the process as ‘rape’ and then in later chapters he said ML is considerate and respected his boundaries. It’s like he forgotten that he didn’t consent in the first place and he’s held captive.

This novel is just pure smut and fantasy, not worth reading if you want in depth descriptions of r*pe and captivity, the psychological one.
