Online Game World: WTF? What’s going on with Feng Lianzhu? I’ve respawned ten times and my equipment was completely blown up, and he’s only dropped a drop of blood?

This spicy chicken game is not humane! There was no announcement for these setting changes! Recruiting full-level players to form a team, 30 teams, players with a ranking below 100 will not be used.

This story Is light hearted and focuses on self growth.

Our MC, an npc who gained awareness, accidentally binds with a system that is also shared with a young cosmic dragon located in a different universe.

Together, they complete each other's tasks to realize their desire: one who wishes to be a true sentient being and the other who wishes to be an adult.

I enjoyed the story immensely despite the powerful settings the author has given the leads. The author mainly focuses on the MC and is very light hearted when explaining... more>> tasks and the sufferings of other characters. By light hearted I mean that readers understand their pain, but it feels faint and it makes it hard to connect with because their world is too far from our reality.

It isn't until you think deeply about the sufferings and the struggles the characters, no matter how developed, go through that brings a connection.

Overall, a nice story to read for fun. Of course, there may be certain elements that may irk some readers but its a good read when you want to escape the world for a bit.

MC and ML are both discovered by the system and they switch worlds with each other in order to complete the other person's tasks. The story mostly focuses on MCs point of view, but we do get little snapshots of the MLs experience as well.

Feng Lianzhu, the MC is actually a NPC in a game. One day, a dragon in the future that stayed at the game (Pang Kiriatus (damn the name is hard)) accidentally went to the past and saw Feng getting beaten up, and so he cried and the tears fell to the remains of Feng and Feng somehow got some wisdoms. Fast forward to the future, both got bound by a system, swapped place and both accomplished missions that the others cannot accomplished. The reward is to make Feng become human (because that's Feng wish after he got beaten over and over again) and to let Pang become an adult dragon because that's what Pang wanted.

This is so cute??

The​ worldbuilding​ of this novel is quite original and plays out in a very interesting way.

MC and ML's characterizations make a lot of sense. Also, their relationship is really soft and cute without being codependent.

Highly recommended!

This is one of my most favourite books of all time 😭🩷

Both the MC and ML, I love them so much. I was invested in their journey, watching Feng Lianzhu learn to become a human, Pang Kirates learning more self-restraint and the two depending on each other without losing their own independence. Ahhhh, even the side characters were brilliant, not too boring and not too overpowering, everything felt so light and comfortable.

Nothing, not once, did anything annoy or break my immersion— it was perfect 👌

Completely my type of story, and... more>> the setting was so unique. The MC and ML’s relationship was not heavy in any way, they didn’t even do anything super romantic but every moment felt so sweet, as if I was bouncing on marshmallows. Every character was lovable, even Laurie haha, that guy is very funny if you ask me.

Honestly, I couldn’t ask for a better romance story, despite there hardly being any romance, because the spiritual aspect healed me so much and makes me believe in the romance I wish to pursue and experience, unbound by mere flesh and body, but once they meet, become an existence pronounced in even more importance and preciousness.

Okay I’ve rambled enough now, showing how much I adore this story. I can even ignore all inconsistencies and plot holes (not that I bothered to even notice or question them since my immersion was so deep) because of how wonderful the character development Feng Lianzhu and Pang Kirates experienced.

Cyan Wings is probably one of my most favourite authors. Sharing Systems and The demon Venerable also Wants to Know being part of my top favourite danmei of all time!

I accidentally pressed 1 star when I meant 4 (and the system won't let me change it), so feel obliged to post a review.

Cute story, theres a nice flow to it where nothing feels forced. All the characters are quite likeable, especially the MC and ML.

The romance is something to die for, or die from due to the small sugar that the author offers. Its very chaste. No pa pa pa or kissing, but you could feel the trust between the couple that eventually turns into affection and love

This was sooo cuteee!!!

There were a lot of complex situations described inside the story and I thoroughly enjoyed all of them.

As someone who always borders on extremes, it felt kinda nice being able to see how their story unfolded.

I think the premise is quite interesting, and the execution isn't bad. Just... the characters felt a bit lifeless? Soulless? Flat? And yes, I know the MC is initially an NPC and should be kinda bland/flat at the start. I mean that every single character feels 2D. They're given characteristics, but they just don't feel that alive. I feel like most characterization in the novel is done through telling, not showing. Imo, there should be a balance (too much showing can be messy/vague/slow, but too much telling makes everything feel... more>> a bit flatter).

The plot is also pretty simple, and the fights/powerups aren't that interesting imo. I understand that combat isn't the main part, but the MC & ML having their powerups handed to them after finishing tasks doesn't have much of an impact, especially since the tasks don't feel super challenging.

Still, there were some good moments (Author did well at the peak emotional moments), and I think the worldbuilding and premise are also pretty solidly conveyed. The romance seems sweet and fluffy, but so far I can't see the MC & ML as a romantic pair. It's a slow burn, but I can't see the spark between them yet (they just feel like really good bros at this point). I personally feel like they'd be great as family members. The platonic connection is great. That said, it could change in 20 chapters?

I wouldn't say that there's anything wrong with the novel, just that the quality isn't 5 stars for me. I just can't handle how flat the characters feel (it's already been over half of the novel), so I'm not sure I'll continue. It's probably a decent read if you want something simple though! <<less

Quite a unique set up, an enjoyable read.

Definitely more of a self exploration novel, with the MC being an NPC that gained consciousness.

The romance line was pretty weak, and it's very smooth sailing, no set backs whatsoever.

A satisfying read though, a "turn your brain off for a bit" read.

Super enjoyable read. A really unique system / transmigration / leveling up novel!

The author made the setup extremely clever. Pacing was great, the steps forward were logical, the character development had a lot of interesting points (internal processes categorized emotions as junk data) and the progression was very entertaining.

Super strong MC and ML (MC is basically sentient AI, the brains of the operation).

Also enjoyed some of the hints about how MC became sentient in the first place...

The name of the essay that MC wrote for school was initially translated to something else. However, subsequent mentions of this essay used "My Best Friend." It's unlikely for a human translator to miss such a huge point, so I'm guessing ChatGPT.

FYI, here's an easy way to tell if someting has been MTLed:

In CN, smile and laugh are the same character. It depends on context (usually authors mean "smile" more often than "laugh"), however, that makes it easy for MTL to make a logic mistake.

A logical progression from a translator would be: "the MC smiled; other people wondered, what made him smile?" or "the MC laughed; other people wondered, what made him laugh?"

vs. MTL would be like "the MC smiled; other people wondered, what made him laugh?" See the logic disconnect? It should be something caught with editing, but I see it everywhere nowadays.

I liked this novel. It was different. MC, Feng Lianzhu, is a NPC in a game while ML, Pang Kirates, is a dragon in the real world. They swap places to help each other complete tasks set by a system. During the course of completing the tasks, MC learns to become more human and ML learns restraint.

Although I don't get how they end up having romantic feelings (cause it seemed more like a brotherhood), the story was still enjoyable. And of course, they have a happy ending together.

The tasks for the MC was harder than that of ML. MC's tasks required him to go to school, get a college degree, free the atavist (humans who had "regressed" in their evolution), set up a new nation for the atavist, and destroy specimens of a deceased dragon. The specimens were used to change the evolution of humans, which led to humans with better abilities but also the births of atavists.

In the end, ML gave up his ancestral inheritance of memories to MC. This was a choice that helped ML escape death. If he had accepted the inheritance, the cosmic conscience would've killed him like how it killed the other dragons. ML was the last of his kind.

Completing all the tasks, MC was able to free himself of the game and stay in the real world with ML.

I loved this! MC is a xianxia NPC game boss who gains self-awareness, and ML is a juvenile last-of-his-kind dragon in the interstellar era. Story is mostly focused on MC and his activities to help a suppressed minority group in the ML's interstellar world, but both MC and ML go through their own character arcs - MC to learn to be human and ML to learn patience and kindness. ML is childish and adorable, and MC is gentle but strong.

Bet you never expected an NPC x Space Dragon novel.

MC is the NPC, and he's been assigned an impossible task in the cultivation game he's in. After gaining autonomy, he decided to play co-op with the ML to achieve both their goals. ML turns out to be a literal dragon from space (in a 'real world', not the game), and he's exactly as greedy and petty as you'd expect a western dragon to be.

Don't expect a conventional romance since it's a relationship between man and dragon. I'm also being generous... more>> calling it a romance since theirs could be read as just a platonic bond (if you ignore the side chapters). For the first half of the novel I imagined the relationship is like Hiccup and Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon. The author's notes and extras provided more romance than the entire main text.

On the surface, this story does seem nonsensical, but it also touches on some darker topics like discrimination and unethical experimention. I've read a few of this author's works so I had high expectations of this novel in the first place. The plot is indeed engaging with a lot of depth and reveals. If you take away the supposed romance aspect (or lack thereof), this is an excellent novel with no flaws. <<less

Cute romance story without romance?

Well the story emphasizes on the tasks they have to fulfill and there is no conventional romance but you will feel how they get closer and more dependent on each other.

MC and ML are communicating in a good way and I did like both.

Ib feel like I can't say much about this novel but it was really entertaining. I have a soft spot for little dragons.

I like the premise of the story, it's unique! First time to actually read an NPC and mighty dragon pair!

The interaction of ML and MC is really cute, they cared for each other and so sweet in their own way. The side characters too plays very important roles and parts in the story, both to the NPC and interstellar worlds.

Overall highly recommended!

This story is super cute. MC is an NPC who awakens and develops a personality and his own thinking. ML is a juvenile dragon who throws tantrum when unhappy but slowly grows more mature. ML's love for gold is adorable. The way he obliterates the gamers in MC's original game is hilarious. Meanwhile MC saves the targets in ML's world and help them develop into an advanced society without doing everything for them. I love the relationship between MC and ML. The side characters are also interesting.
