When the new snow begins, the full moon will be in the sky

The shadows are tiled below

Shining silver on it

And you walked towards me with a smile

Between the moon and snow

You are the third stunning color

I highly recommend you check out eorinsun's review as they give a good plot summary and what to expect when reading (except a kind of minor spoiler) ! There is honestly ALOT to say about this novel and my review here really can't describe it in it's entirety. On a scale from 1 to 10 on how much I love this novel, it's an easy 9. One of my favorite Baihe along with Long Awaited Feelings, and I love this couple sm.

Basic plot summary: Lu Yinxi transmigrates into a book... more>> she skimmed over as the love interest and villainess' (Jian Qing) belonging/companion and wants to avoid the fateful ending that lies in store for her. With suddenly transmigrating into an unknown world, she has to adapt to Jian Qing's lifestyle and be with her (for better or for worse) and ponder how to change her fate and get back to her own world.. And if she should.

Backing what others have said, this novel is a slice of life with a heavy medical/Oncology (cancer treatment) setting. If I'm going to be honest, I think the medical setting is one of the strongest aspects of this novel. While not very in depth (would be hard to do so honestly), the author shows a good amount on the heartbreaking, enraging, and endearing parts of the medical field. Through the lenses of one of the most emotionally draining fields in medicine, Oncology, you feel a respect for the doctors, the patients, and honestly feel grateful you aren't in their shoes. While there is a lot of medical jargon in this novel, the scenarios and situations portrayed can be felt on an emotional level and was so interesting to read. Of course, the setting isn't there just to be there but really affects the couple's lives and romantic progression making up for some emotional and powerful scenes which even had me tearing up ngl. The medical aspect may not be for everyone and is consistently present throughout the whole story, but it is really interesting and a breath of fresh air from idol/celeb circles or college and school setting.

Enough about the setting, the couple dynamic is really cute and fun to read! Lu Yinxi is our main character and she's a sunshine, clingy, emotional actress/celeb paired with our love interest Jian Qing who is a distant and cold Oncologist with a dark history. Lu Yinxi thawing her heart and seeing them interact is just so amazing and makes for some heartwarming moments. There is some definite angst in the novel and it is very much a slow burn due to the main character's transmigration issues and both of their backstories combined with the medical stuff that happens throughout. Their journey is sweet, nail-biting, sad, and also spicy later on if you wanted to know that lol. I could read them interact forever and their heartwarming moments are definitely a strong highlight!

This review is way too long already, just check out the novel! It's worth it!!!! Definite recommendation with very few flaws (ending is a tiny unsatisfying is all!) <<less

One of my best reads. Will aways have a special place in my heart. The medical stuff, the romance, the angst.. I love it!! And it's refreshing to me how the author handled the transmigration plot. Also, my Jian Qing baby, she's just so adorable!!! Like I'll support anything you do, baby.

I'm the translator and I just wanted to share this really well written romance story with everyone. It has a unique setting within the medical field (where supposedly the author herself is either a medical student or works in the field herself) where all the knowledge points regarding medical information is accurate. The heroine and love interest gradually fall in love and you really end up loving the both of them as you read along. Don't really want to say too much about the plot but it's interesting and felt... more>> surprisingly grounded in reality for a transmigration story. <<less

This novel is one of the best romance novels I've stumbled upon on this site, far beyond the smaller genre that is GL. The easy to find MTL of it is incredibly good quality, better than some translations I've read on the site.

The MC of this story is written with an incredible amount of nuance and charisma, that should have you immediately enjoying her. She is a flawed person but they aren't written in a way that makes you frustrated. The relationship with the MC and the FL is immediately... more>> filled with so much enjoyable tension and the way the two interacts is endlessly entertaining.

Perhaps the best part of the novel is how fleshed out their life is. Set amidst the medical industry, we spend a large amount of our time in the hospital, confronting the terrible mortality cancers brings about. It's a touching exploration of the painful battle people face and recognizes the emotional toll these doctors face.

I've likely done a terrible job explaining the book, but it is among my favorites. If you enjoy well written characters, give the MTL of this is a read. This, along with My Feelings Can Wait really raised the bar on what I hope to find out of translated novels. <<less

If you haven't decided whether to read this novel or not and you're reading this review, this is a sign that you should click on the first chapter, stat. (And then come back to open chapter 4 onwards in LP).

The novel is fantastically written, in my personal opinion. The author has basic medicine knowledge at least, and it feels like you're watching a medical drama shot by someone who /somewhat/ knows what they're doing, enough so that a layman doesn't know there's something wrong. There's some pro-PRC/patriotic propaganda included in... more>> the novel and that may annoy some people but it's kinda interesting to see how the author views their country and how a socialist country would react to a natural disaster (at least in theory). Yeah, a bit of a minor spoiler, there's a natural disaster in the middle of the novel which I believe is drawn from a real life disaster that happened and I teared up during the arc man, I'm not even going to lie. It reminds me of a war-torn zone with the way the author captures the pain and effort of medical personnel frontliners and the common people.

The plot and writing aside, of course you'd want to know about the love story (don't we all).

The main character of this story is Lu Yinxi, a 25 year old actress who transmigrated into a 20 year old alternate version of herself in a mysterious novel she skims through one fateful night. Her character in the novel is destined for death in a terrible way in the hands of the love interest of the novel who is described to be subtly yandere (honestly, might be a psychopath, in the medical sense of the word. Not mentioned anywhere but it's just my own theory). It's interesting because for a lot of transmigrated MCs, they don't really have the desire or mean to return to the reality but Lu Yinxi is desperate to do so but also torn between the real world and her pretty doctor.

The love interest is Jian Qing, a cold, unfeeling oncology doctor with a dark past who was supposed to have a sort of sugar mommy relationship with her. She is smart, logical and pragmatic but detached from the people/patients around her until Lu Yinxi comes around and thaws the ice around her heart. She's prone to have dark tendencies/thoughts at times, mainly influenced by her dark past but she's a great doctor with a rather poor bedside manner. Sometimes in the story I think she really benefits from the pretty pass, ngl.

The feelings between them come quickly and while I'm not really a fan of stories in which the characters develop feelings 1 day within knowing each other, they do not get together quickly in this one, barely got to hold hands tens of chapters in due to MC's conflicts between her desire to return to the reality and her desire for a smart, pretty gf. Poor girl, I'm sure we all can relate.

Edit: I had gone about my day after dropping this review and then I suddenly remembered Jian Qing's little ear wiggles and now I'm crying in the club. <<less

Alright so to cut to the chase this novel is absolutely fantastic and has moved up to my top 5 yuri novels of all time. It has a lot of useful information about the doctors work, there day to day life, and the suffering the patients go threw financially and socially.

The relationship between the MC and the FL is fantastic with you being able to understand and perceive their emotions extremely well. They get along well, feel natural, and you can understand how they go threw their scars from the... more>> past to slowly become stronger.

I wish the ending could of been a little longer just so I could enjoy it more but it was still satisfying. I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone that wants to read it and anyone who understands the struggle patients go threw since this reminded me of my father and his current battle with cancer. <<less

Really amazing, One of the best yuri / lily novel for me I wish I can re-read this again for the first time! Their dynamic with each other is really something. The way the author expresses their emotions is really beautiful. Give it a try!

This novel is a slice-of-life genre, full of medical knowledge (which is all true!), and you can certainly tell that the author did their research. It's more of an angsty fluff, with no weird misunderstandings, and the characters grow not only together but also learn communication and how to take care of each other in ways that the other needs.
