Yang Shiluo felt from the bottom of her heart that this was the most confusing moment of her life.

First, Lai Zuoyi returned home with a child.

Yang Shiluo tried not to be sad, but Lai Zuoyi’s next sentence is… “She’s ours.”

  ”What?”

”I said, ours.” Lai Zuoyi looked at her with a puzzled expression, “Yang Shiluo, don’t tell me, you have forgotten that this child is ours?”

  ”What!”

Yang Shiluo looked at Lai Zuoyi in horror, but the her expression didn’t show that she was joking – and, what scared her the most was, how could two women give birth!?

  She was completely clueless.

I guessed the plot from the start, and the end was satisfactory.

Spoiler

This is the short story of a traumatized pair of mother and daughter and a person who could get their broken pieces together and love them as they need and deserve.

[collapse]

We don't know how is their future but I want to believe that they'll be a happy family.

A good read, though I wish there was more. It ended on the beginning of the journey and we only saw the prep work.

It is sad, but ends well.

Thought this would be sweet and cute, but it got depressing in the end.

Alright.... Deep breaths....

I don't like this story. Not because it's dark, not because it's heavy, and not because it's realistic. It is all of these things, but....

What I don't like is how the end gives the impression that everything is going to be okay. In cases like these, things don't often end "okay." They end even worse.

First, you have to understand the why of Lai Zuoyi's decision to say Lai Yun Yue is Yang Shiluo's child.

Spoiler

Lai Zuoyi was r*ped and abandoned by the father of Lai Yun Yue.

[collapse]

That's already dark enough, but then that leads to Lai Zuoyi...

Spoiler

Severely neglecting and abusing Lai Yun Yue, often switching between loving and hating the child. And this is some serious ab*se, not just verbal ab*se.

[collapse]

Given all of that, it's made to seem like with Yang Shiluo's help Lai Zuoyi will get better and they can be a happy family. Studies show that that's not often the case. The odds are working against them in this case, and I can only see things getting way worse later in their lives.

It's not impossible for things to get better, but... That kind of thing doesn't just go away.

So, read the tags and know that it's dead serious about them.

Overall it's well written, but I didn't find the story to be good. It's my personal rating, so don't take offense. <<less
