In the distant future on Earth, there was a girl with God-like powers. That girl is the last survivor of the former human race that flourished in ancient times.

The Ancients.

And on that very same Earth, a new breed of humans with the ability to wield Magic emerged.

That girl began to observe the new human race silently.

Sometimes called a God, other times called Satan, that girl continued to observe the new human race.

This is the story of the happenings between the lonely girl and the hardworking new human race.

This story is really good. The concept is out of ordinary. No matter what era it is, a human is indeed greedy. And until they reached that even conquer the universe, hollow and emptiness came to them. And the MC in some perspective is like a screw loose. Well, if you're living for millions of years, this is likely to happen.

It is a very good and entertaining story that is worth a read to the end especially since Google translate handles it quite well.

If I had to find a fault in it then I would say it's a bit too optimistic and didn't show some of the dead ends that didn't go anywhere because of bad luck or just pure human interest conflict.

However I'm certain it resonates quite well with current Japanese culture stress.

The novel is quite good, so I recommend to try it out. However, I quite dislike one part of the setting - namely, lack of any interaction between the Goddess/Satan/MC and the world. She is just watching, only spectating.

WoW,

I love this novel world building and 'She' PoV. Its perfect for my taste.

In around one fourth of chapters, authors change story pace. Its become more detailed with multiple Pov. Its become for good..

And very good End

A premise story from the unique tropes.

Truly my choice 10/10.

Explore the wondrous journey from the end to a new beginning.

... more>> What was once lost from her rekindled within her as she watched the world and new life in omnipotent view.

Filled her with much happiness and ecstasy upon the twinkling lights in the world going through all events whether good and bad that her kind used to go through.

Like ours history filled with trials and errors. The New Humanity would face such challenges as well. Making more misconceptions and hurling towards a stable life. Over the castrated time uncovers the truth and overturned the powers within and take new leap upon the foremost front of the world.

Mirroring ours when knowing the truth that reverse the situation against the wrong ideals. Each events that lead to a new era and the next and next on. <<less

Inconsistent writing style, lacks direction or over arching theme, the few characters are one dimensional and cliche. The main character adds nothing to the story and the few places where she does something it is completely disconnected from the rest of the narrative. The author seems to not remember what he has written previously.

Simplistic and shallow attempts to portray some pretty serious topics that makes me suspect the author might be rather young so I do not want to be too negative but yeah.

The one positive is there are some... more>> cool world building. <<less

In short, the least active protagonist I've ever read about.

With one mini arc exception that basically felt out of place anyway (and was not at all necessary for the plot and could have easily been replaced with a natural autonomic phenomenon that required no action), the entire story is just observing other people's stories throughout the development of a different civilisation. This might be fine if the writing was engaging enough, but it's deliberately kept at a distance of not even naming any of the characters, including the actual protagonists... more>> of the arcs, let alone side characters.

It reads like a basic chronology of a fantasy society, but it both goes into too much detail to be an overview of the society as a whole, and too little detail and depth to serve as a gripping story with characters that the reader can empathise with.

And the whole thing is regularly but briefly disrupted by the nominal MC lamenting her inability to interact with those other characters because it would be too big of an influence.

I don't know if the MC ends up doing anything in later chapters, but up to this point, the novel would have been better without that character and just directly told from the perspective of the lead characters of the individual arcs but with a stronger identity and more emotional detail.

There aren't many novels that cover the rise and fall of societies throughout history rather than focusing on a single time period and plot, but most of the other ones I recall were written better than this one.

Edit: I forgot to mention that the whole "Satan" thing is purely made up by the translator even though "demon king" is a very well established concept in such novels and actually makes more sense in the context as well. But that's still not something the protagonist does, just something that people came up with out of thin air, much like real religions. <<less

Pretty interesting read, cool setting. The ending was rather rushed though, I wish more was written about the interstellar era but I suppose everything about magic had already been researched so there were no discoveries to be made.

Romance: none

Essentially a hyper advanced girl watches as humanity progresses from the discovery of fire to beyond from the bubble of her own home, some funny misunderstandings where she’s revered and scorned as a goddess.

overall fantastic, never read something like this before.

Story goes in circles, big and small circles. "Hard times create strong man, strong man create good times, good times create weak man, and weak man create hard times." Story is inconsistent and contradict itself, But sometimes it has this beautiful maddening philosophical touch.

This novel is basically collection of life stories from different eras. Primitive ages, Scripture of zealot, Legend of brave Sage (scholar), Era of Homunculi and so on. I really wish we would have had more POVs or interactions from The girl. But she is truly only an... more>> observer to the very end. She is absent to such extend that I even don't know if you can call her a MC. I still cannot understand how new humanity haven't tried to study artificial island. It just was left to be.

It is understandable that everything happens for the first time, but in some cases it is just unreasonable not to think about it

Spoiler

I mean, for example, how homunculi were discarded for such a long time and only one person thought of trying to repair them. Like really, you spend so much of your budged to buy this thing and then trow it in tr*sh pile even thou it can be repaired

[collapse]

Overall I like the concept but there are quite a few thing I would have liked to see and things that bothered me. Not sure about rating, 3 or 4, definitely not 5. <<less

I enjoyed the story upto about halfway. After that the format changed and it became less focussed on the mc's perspective.

The MC is exactly what I would expect immortal humans would be like. Bored out of their minds and finding enjoyment by watching the lesser developed species struggle.

Like I sayed I wish the focus stayed more on the MC, other than that it is a refreshing story different from the norm.

Very good novel, small grammatical mistakes here and there but not enough to take down points, I hoped for a little more interactions with the protagonist but its fine as it is
