As a psychology assistant, Tao Yu took on a case rejected by her supervisor, unwittingly embarking on a journey through the fragmented mindscapes of business tycoon Yue Linze. Her mission: to mend the psychological flaws of his multiple personalities.

World 1: The CEO and His Little Doctor

Boss: “You’ve only lost love, but I’ve lost a leg!”

Tao Yu: “…Your right leg is just slightly uncomfortable.”

Boss: “Oh, you don’t love me? Then I don’t need this leg anymore.”

Tao Yu: “Love! Love! Love!”

World 2: The Prison Boss and the Rookie Guard

Boss: “Do you like me?”

Tao Yu: “No.”

Boss: “Alright, I’m breaking out.”

Tao Yu: “….”

World 3: The Noble Lady and Her Pampered Servant

Tao Yu: “I just want you to read more books and become an outstanding successor to socialism.”

Servant: “No, I just want to serve you… in bed.”

World 4: The Wealthy Housewife and Her… Husbands?

Yue Lin: “Strictly speaking, I’m Tao Yu’s husband. The wedding was just interrupted by a certain scoundrel.”

Yue Ze: “Sorry, first come, first served.”

Tao Yu: “…I never imagined the big boss in this world would be twins. Identical twin brothers, at that.”

World 5: The City Lord’s Wife and Her Not-So-Innocent City Lord

Yue Linze: “All I want in this life is to lay down my sword and attain peace. A sweet, innocent life.”

Tao Yu: “…Could you please put down the sword at my throat first?”

Other doctors did brain work; why was hers so physical? The constant backaches, sore legs, and leg cramps were killing her!

Some people don't know the borderline of mentall illness, psychopath and other stuff in novels like this. This would usually make people divide into to or more. One that likes it and just enjoyed it, on that likes it but concern with the ml's clearly disturbing character, one that doesnt like it because it's a freaking nutjob of a story. Im from the one that like sit but concern and actuallt slightly hates it.

Not going into too much details but the ML here is f*cking insane, and the psychologist (the... more>> mc) is such a 2d character like a blank canvas. You're a f*cking psychologist and you cant even read a simple mood or whatever rhat makes a big misunderstanding out of that situation that takes you into a much even worse situation. First of all, if your patient has been rejected by the senior or higher up psychology then you should've known better not to mess things up despite being qualified to go into his dreams or whatever. There's a clear line between work, money, and dignity. And this one. Ugh, despite enjoying some arcs. Most of them sucks. I wanted to rate this 3.5 but yeah there's only 1 2 3 4 5.

Im not saying I hate this novel, I liked it but it's disturbing and most of the time, makes me uncomfortable <<less

"Sick Petty Guy, Please Let It Go" – But the Author Refused to Let Go of My Suffering (˃̣̣̥ᯅ˂̣̣̥)

(3/5 – Because 1 and 2-star ratings are reserved for true s*um characters, and these two were bad but not that bad.) (눈_눈)

Some books are so good they change your life. Some are so bad they make you rethink your taste in literature. And then there are books like this—so frustrating that they force you to reflect on your own life choices and ask yourself, "Why? Just... why?"... more>> ლ (ಠ_ಠლ)

I went in expecting a romantic psychological drama with a cute and clumsy therapist and a cold outside but warm inside CEO, but what I got instead was: (, , ⩌'︿'⩌, ,)

• A male lead who, despite being a diagnosed psychopath, somehow managed to annoy me even more when he was "sane".

• A female lead who redefined the phrase "dumber than a rock" and had the moral integrity of a cheating poker player.

• A romance that the Stockholm Syndrome wasn't the worst part.

Spoiler!!! Sorry, I needed to vent! /ᐠﹷ ‸ ﹷ ᐟノ

Spoiler

1. The Male Lead – Yue Linze, Walking Red Flag ૮ ˙Ⱉ˙ ა rawr! Me angry!

Spoiler

I had no problem with him being mentally unstable. The novel, the heroine, and the author all made it clear from the start that he needed psychological treatment. So when he acted like a terrifying, controlling, obsessive lunatic, that was expected.

What I did not expect was for the author to suddenly throw all logic out the window and let him get away with mu*dering. Yeah, he mu*dered the female lead and in the end, he didn't even suffered enough.

[collapse]

The Arc That Made Me Want to Set This Book on Fire ⁽⁽ (੭ꐦ •̀Д•́) ੭*⁾⁾

Spoiler

Let's set the scene:

• Yue in that world is the governor of a small city. He is shy, clumsy, and good-natured—or so it seems.

• In reality, he is manipulating the heroine, pretending to love her while plotting her downfall.

• When he realizes she is "the enemy, " he SHOOTS HER IN THE HEAD.

(-_•) ╦̵̵̿╤─ BAM! (⊙_⊙)

And what happens next?

• He suffers... but only for four years.

• He becomes a monk, adopts a child, and basically lives out his relatively peaceful redemption arc—while she is DEATH.

• He gets a second chance with her because why not?

Excuse me, but how is this fair?

• In a different world, the heroine disappeared for 15 years just after he confessed his love right in the day of his birthday. Despite the female lead not disappearing intentionally, the male lead still suffered as hell and he didn't even deserved to suffer like that!

• But here, in this world, he literally kills her, and he gets FOUR YEARS of regret before reuniting with her?

Where was the Crematorium Arc™?

(ノ ° 益 °) ノ Cursing the author!!

Where was the true emotional agony?

The man killed his lover. At the very least after this tragic domestic violence, he should have:

• Spent years searching for her in despair (even if he didn't know where to look at)

• Begged for forgiveness over and over.

• Completely lost his mind from guilt.

Instead, he found relatively peace as a monk, raised a kid, and got his happy ending. Detailed, his childhood dream was always to be a monk! So basically he realized his dream and get the love of cutie adopted daughter... where's the extreme despair? Roll my eyes...

If I were the heroine? Sure, I'd treat him—I was being PAID and needed the money very much! (≖ᴗ≖ ✿) hehe!

But forgive him? Love him wholeheartedly?

AS IF! (ᵒ̴̶̷᷄◡̶͂ᵒ̴̶̷᷅) و Just wait... FOREVER!

This isn't just "Oh, he was mentally unstable." It's "Oh, he was fully aware of what he was doing, it's just that he didn't trust her, so he pulled the trigger anyway, and barely suffered for it.

¯_ (๑˃́ꇴ˂̀๑) _/¯ Well?

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why I hated him. While the female lead was dumb, the author portrayed the male lead as having high IQ, so couldn't he find another way, instead of shooting her in the head?

And here's what really grinds my gears: The author tries to make this tragic by saying "Oh, but he really loved her! He just did it for his city! He just didn't trust her and thought she was going to destroy his world! Poor baby suffered for four years after killing her!"

Umm... EXCUSE ME? "૮₍ ˶•⤙•˶ ₎ა

Four years is not nearly enough suffering to atone for mu*dering your lover. In real life, we would be sentenced to life imprisonment if he mu*dered his wife! Besides, he didn't know she was "immortal" so he shot knowing she would never resurrect! And while we're at it—why did he get a happy ending?? Why couldn't he be redeemed without getting back together with her? Why couldn't his punishment be eternal regret (since in real world, they would get together anyway) ? Why do we keep normalizing "love forgives all" even when "all" includes straight-up mu*der?! It's just "Oops, sorry for the mu*der, babe—wanna get back together?"

This man deserved to be left alone to rot in his own regrets. But instead, the author practically handed him a romantic redemption coupon and said, "All sins forgiven!"

And don't even get me started on how he manipulates her outside in the real world. He deliberately keeps her in financial distress, delays paying her for her work, and uses her debt to loan sharks to keep her trapped by his side. Like, wow. That's not romance, that's psychological warfare.

2. The Female Lead – Tao Yu, The Queen of Bad Decisions

Spoiler

I have read many dumb heroines. I have read many spineless heroines. But Tao Yu? I don't say this lightly, but she was worse than the male lead.

• She was dumb beyond belief.

• She was a psychologist who made every unethical decision possible.

• She was a disgusting two-timer who lacked basic self-respect.

[collapse]

Let's break this down. Spoilers! (◡̀_◡́)

Spoiler

A Heroine So Dumb, Even She Knew It

Spoiler

Tao Yu's lack of intelligence wasn't just frustrating—it was PAINFUL.

"Why do such rare cases without reference in this world appear in the hands of a half-baked psychologist like her?!" - she thought (at least she's self aware)

Exactly. Half-baked? NOPE. NOT BAKED AT ALL.

[collapse]

Two-Timing With Negative IQ

Spoiler

This was, without a doubt, the most disgusting thing about her

• She met one personality of the male lead.

• She immediately accepted his love, promised to be with him, and talked about marriage.

• Then she found out they were "twin brothers" (same person but divided into two individuals, twins).

• Instead of stopping, she kept leading them both on.

She knew they were the same person (but the twins, didn't, they had different consciousness, they were unique individuals in that world).

She knew they both had feelings for her.

She STILL continued her disgusting act. (´ཀ`) Disgusting...

"Tao Yu (female lead) hesitated for a long time, and finally replied to him (male lead, one of the twins) with this sentence. Her plan was to conquer Yue Ze first (older twin). Before she succeeded, she couldn't let Yue Lin (younger twin) have too deep feelings for her, otherwise he would hate her when she and Yue Ze left, which might be a new source of resentment."

• She wanted to win over one of them first.

• But she also wanted to keep the other one on standby to "cure him (aka get together) ".

• So she deliberately led them both on.

Nasty. Absolutely nasty.

And then, when she got caught?

"Tao Yu's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a sense of panic as if she was caught cheating."

Because SHE WAS.

And the most infuriating part? She could have avoided all of this if she had just used her brain.

"She saw one picture with the twin brothers... but for some reason, she thought he was only being narcissistic by editing the photo with two of him, two different sides of him in the same photo."

HOW? HOW DO YOU LOOK AT A PHOTO OF TWO PEOPLE AND THINK IT'S THE SAME GUY EDITED TWICE?

You had so many clues, so many opportunities to stop, and you STILL two-timed them.

I have read manipulative female leads before. I have read clueless ones before.

But this combination of "two-timing without realizing it" and "being too dumb to avoid it in the first place"?

[collapse]

• The "Comedy" That Was Just One Long Cringe-Fest

Spoiler

Another major reason I hated this book?

The comedy relied entirely on making the heroine an embarrassment.

Why is it that so many Chinese web novels equate s*upidity with humor?

• The dumber the heroine, the "funnier" the story is supposed to be.

• The more she humiliates herself, the more we're supposed to laugh.

Well, I wasn't laughing.

Every time she fell into an embarrassing situation, I felt nothing but secondhand embarrassment.

• It wasn't funny.

• It wasn't clever.

• It was just painful.

And it's not like I hate all dumb heroines. Some books do it well.

But in this novel? It was just... tragic... tragically annoying ಠ_ಠ

Final Verdict – Read At Your Own Risk

Spoiler

This novel was exhausting.

• The male lead got away with mu*der and barely suffered.

• The female lead was dumb, nasty, and unethical.

• The romance was a masterclass in psychological warfare.

• Ugh, and then there was that insufferable thing, the butler— I just remembered him, because he was so annoying...

Spoiler

practically glued to the male lead's side like a human fan club with a superiority complex. It didn't matter how blatantly wrong the guy was; Butler Bootlick would still be there, nodding along like a bobblehead of bad decisions. And don't even get me started on his attitude toward the female lead—dripping with enough contempt to season an entire meal. Not that I liked her much either, but at least I had the decency to judge fairly! Meanwhile, this guy was out here treating the male lead like the second coming of perfection while looking down on everyone else. Seriously, does this story have any redeemable characters, or are we just collecting annoying people?

[collapse]

Well to be fair, the positive part was (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)

• It was frustrating, but not unreadable.

Would I recommend it?

NO. /ᐠ - ˕ -マ

Would I ever read it again?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. /ᐠ - ˕ -マ Ⳋ

But would I suggest readers to not read?

No, read. ฅ^>⩊<^ ฅ Read and share your experience and see if you feel "happy" like me!

Sit tight.. I am gonna give a big review.. Coz as a transmigration/world-hopping lover I LOVED THIS STORY <3... It's not exactly like other quick transmigration because the concept of world-hopping is different... Because the worlds are not exactly real but illusionary worlds created by a psychological patient. And yes the patient is our handsome/cool/cold/cute/funny/sick ML. And the doctor is (you guessed right) our beautiful/smart/funny/cute/liar FL... There are total 6 worlds including real world. So not so big story and you can be finished it quickly. No unusual brain-dead drama..... more>> No vicious supporting characters... (YES, there is no such character, and whom you are thinking is the vicious character, he is actually not.. You will understand it if you read the last real-world story).. Of course a happy ending.. I MTLed it (there is this tip I want share that is not related to the story- that if you want to read MTL.. It's best to directly google translate it from the Chinese website of the original story. It is much more understandable than those websites that provide MLT versions).. Ok back to the story if you loved to read those genres, you will defiantly love this story.. Try it..

And if you are like me who loves to read the spoiler before reading the story then you are welcome to read ahead <3<3..

Spoiler

So ML is a phycological patient.. He had an accident and had an unusual brain problem.. His brain created several subpersonalities who doesn't have the awareness of the existence of the main personality and they created their own illusionary individual world and lived in the brain of the main personality. This causes the main personality to have several brain damage and so he found phycologists to cure himself.. As his problem was very critical so many phycologists rejected him.. So he found the best phycologists in the US to cure him AKA our Fl...

No, She is not.. She is not the best phycologists but his assistant.. The doctor didn't want to take this job.. And our miserable/orphan/debt-ridden FL went to cure ML with a false identification.. As she is not a certified doctor, she faced problems when curing him.. She would hypnotize themselves and go to the illusionary world and help the sub-personalities to fulfill their wish or eliminate their resentment in order to cure them. After their resentment is eliminated the illusionary world will disappear and sub-personalities will merge with the main personality, coz they are basically a part of the main personality. And in every world FL and ML will fall for each other. But it is taboo to attach to the patient emotionally when curing them.. And also the main personality will forget about their experience when the sub-personality disappeared. So our FL was sad and wanted to run away after curing ML.

But there is a 1% chance that the main personality would not forget their experience and as the protagonist, ML didn't forget anything and pursuit the FL in the real world.. And in the end, they will happily live after...

It's the overall story.. Wanna know about individual world stories.. Then proceed

Spoiler

World 1: disable young master x rehabilitation doctor

ML was disabled after an accident caused by his stepbrother (who is Yue Lingying). FL became a rehabilitation doctor and helped ML eliminate his resentment against his dad and stepbrother. But the world didn't disappear because ML found out FL was lying to him and he imprisoned FL.. After some twists and turns ML was finally satisfied and the world disappeared.

World 2: prisoner x crossdresser prison guard

The smallest world. ML become a prisoner after taking his father's blame.. But when he found out he was deceived by his father he escape prison and punish his father and his new family. After he has no ambition for life so he returned to prison and started living there. FL entered the world as a prison guard. She cross-dressed as a male. ML found her interesting and fall in love. There was a doctor named Zhou Ying (previous Yue Linying) who was FL's friend and made ML jealous.. The story is basically about FL and ML's love.. The story ends with ML proving his innocence and getting out of prison.

World 3: young s*ave x s*ave owner

It is an ancient world. ML was born from a prostitute and was sold and FL was the richest person in the city who bought him. FL bought another person before who was Zhou Ying. FL sent Zhou Ying out of the mansion, as a result, his brother who is a general stanched everything from FL and FL become poor in just a night. FL and ML then went to another village and started living as siblings. A problem happened in the middle and FL was cast out of the world by mistake. When she returned already 15 years passed. The story ends with FL confessing her love surrounded by blazing flames.

World 4: twin young masters x fiancé

FL enter the world as a fiancé of the ML. As she entered she found she was going to the wedding hall and was attacked by some people. When she tried to run away she found out, the people attacked were actually The ML. She thought some mistake happened and she entered as any NCP's fiancé.. So she went away with the ML. But there was actually 2 sub personality in this world. ML was a twin and the older twin was sickly but pampered, and the younger twin was healthy but neglected. Two brothers hated each other and snatched each other things. When FL found out she was shocked. The story ends with two twins merged in one body (yes in an illusionary world everything can happen) and marrying FL. Oh there is also Zhou Ying as a villain there.

Now when FL returned to the real world after this she found several sub-personalities died because of unknown causes and damaging ML's brain. Only one sub-personality remain and she quickly went there to save him.

World 5: city lord x his bride

It is an ancient world. ML is a cute and silly city lord who wholeheartedly loved the city and his people. ML also wanted to be a monk in this world but was held back by his people. There was a rumor that he can't marry unless Buddha gave him a wife. And when FL appeared on the Buddha's platform, ML told that she was the bride given by Buddha to him and marry FL. Zhou Ying was killed on the wedding night of the protagonists with a gun which shouldn't be appeared in this world so FL knew there was a mysterious person in this world and tried to find him. Which led her to the ML. Silly White sheep ML turned out to be a big black wolf. He is the one who killed every other sub-personality. With Many twists and turns story ends with ML and FL growing old together in this world as it was ML's final wish.

World 6: (real world) powerful president x fake doctor and lord governor x FL (wait I am explaining)

After curing ML.. FL wanted to go back to the US. But ML who was already in love with FL tried various means to keep FL from going. And in this world we came to know that Zhou Ying is actually ML's silly friend and a sweetheart. After many conspiracy ML finally be with the FL. It is really funny how every deed of ML got exposed but FL couldn't scold him as she also lied in the first place about her identity and everything. They lived happily..

Not ever after because there is a but..

Remember the previous subpersonality killing other sub-personalities. There was a lord governor among them who was unwilling to die and actually take over ML's body in the real world after 5 years. It was funny how the lord governor of ancient time stumble living in the modern world. Like he wore the pant but didn't zip up and wore the coat but without the shirt under. He actually tried to cut his __ because he that was reacting to FL 🤣🤣🤣.. Well, our ML finally recovers by merging with the sub-personality, and with that the story ends.

This was so good, I am so depressed I finished it. It hit every green flag male yandere trope I love (imprisonment, obsession, possessiveness, jealousy, etc.). Each world was fun and unique. Love the ML so much 😭 it was so good that I actually signed up for jjwxc, downloaded Alipay, and bought coins using google translate to read the rest of the chapters and the extras. ALL THAT EFFORT just to read this gem of a story.
