Some of the themes were a little too heavy for me personally, and I didn't always like the way they were handled, but I have to give this novel top scores, just because it's a masterpiece of writing.

From a technical standpoint, the plotting and prose are perfect. Many readers will love this novel, but it won't rank my favorite of Priest's works.

Making my first review for this novel because it's the most interesting story I've read in a very long time! As usual with Priest, the main focus is not on romance but it certainly is a integral part for the development of main leads. A great read, excellent translation with characters can hook your heart in!

One of my most favorite crime novels. Truly worth reading. Although I may read it again because the plot is so complicated and my poor brain couldn't understand it at once. The romance plot is by far one of the most satisfying plot development I've read. I also like the heavy plot. All in all, very recommended for you people who like reading something with criminal, conspiracies, and things that have to do with police.

To be honest, it's hard to keep my interest reading the first few chapters, it feels bland & monotone. I'm glad I persist though, because I've been blown away by the story. The author is overqualified to write wn imo LoL. MC is the seemingly laid-back, devil-may-care 2nd generation rich man, ML is the carefree, can't-wake-up-in-the-morning policeman. I'm so invested to the story, I feel hurt that they are judging & pointing MC, not knowing what MC has gone through, what he has sacrificed. So far, it’s exactly what I was looking for. Recently, I’ve been watching a lot of crime documentaries and had an urge to read a book so I put these two together and found this. This is the second novel of this type that I have read. The first one being “Love me if you dare”. This is really my favourite genre to read because it encompasses feelings and wit in a go. The main couple and their character development is great. The crime and romance part are well balanced and neither one overshadows the other. I love it 👍💜

When I read the first three chapters, I have a hard time following the story. It may be the translation, my perception in English or because I was really sleepy at the time.

I almost dropped the series since I couldn't really make connections about whats what happened in the story.

After reading chapter four however (with clear head), I begin to feeling engrossed by the story and became really interested with the characters, plot, and storytelling.

I don't really feeling like I 'like' the MC at first since he was being casted... more>> aside for a moment for other characters to make an appearance, but really, I really, really like him.

In my opinion this is a good crime-mystery novel and it's definitely worth your time to at least read the available chapters.

Since it was a little bit too early to have rating, I said I might give it 5✩ in the future when the stories has developed further.
