This quick wear/world hopping novel can be considered at least above average amongst the world hopping novels I have read thus far and I have read a lot. It's up to standard.

The MC is smart and I don't mind his manipulative nature. What I did mind, however, was how his personality suddenly changed in the last world arc. Before that he felt pretty levelheaded. But he suddenly became skin hungry and full of yellow thoughts towards the ML, a stark contrast to the world before that. If the personality... more>> development had been more gradual, it wouldn't have bothered me as much.

The plot in general was good, entertaining enough. The pace was fast, but not too fast. The end also had a little twist which I appreciate.

So yeah, I guess, I would recommend this novel to quick wear/world hopping novel enthusiasts.

On a side note, my opinion might be a bit biased because I had just dropped a world hopping novel because the MC was annoying and the pacing was whack. So having that as a contrast, this novel might have appeared in a more positive light than it would have without the contrast. <<less

I hope the rest of the story would keep being great and deserve the 5 stars that I gave now. I hope this novel won't give me a chance to make it lose a star or two.

Anyway, it was rather Enjoyable story so far. The 1st arc was really good. We can see how MC calculate all his Action and others' action pretty well. So far nothing surprise him. But he does grown fond of ML and he mentioned that. The 2nd arc, I still haven't finish so I don't... more>> know the whole story, but so far he still pretty smart and calculated everything. He's also a Great Actor, everything the story describe the pov of the character he played, my heart ache!!! But also makes me want to laugh, because imagine him thinking 'this is what this world QL would do and feel' and the author wrote his feelings as if he really feel that, man.....

MC is also smart, he was suspicious of things and he still slowly testing his theory. It was rather vague until we actually get reaction from the Systems or when MC's thought was written by the author.

I also Love the idea with having 2 Systems. And they're also the Side CP! So far, I love them. Hope they won't grow annoying and we will get their whole story in the extras or mentioned alot without stealing the light of Main CP. #pray

Please please continue the translation... 🙏🙏🙏 im curious how it would end. <<less

Content Warnings:

Spoiler

R^pe, roofies/drugging, coercion, s//cide, anti-fat rhetoric, vomiting (from heatstroke)

[collapse]

The following discusses the above content more in-depth.

Spoiler

The r^pe tagged in the description occurs between the MC and the ML, though a cannon fodder attempts it on MC. The MC himself calls it that, but it's also written like it's consensual nonconsent play... but also, it's not like they ever discuss it, so even if MC is into that sort of thing, it's not great that ML (who isn't even fully blackened) does that. A lot of "the mouth says no, but the body is honest, " which is pretty yikes -- those physiological responses can occur regardless of desire.

Other readers might argue that it's unfair to deduct points over this when the NU description is tagged r^pe. I'm ok with it as a story element, but I really dislike it when it's romanticized or is initiated by the MC or ML. A lot of enjoyable BLs have ambiguous consent between the main couple, but like... ML wasn't even fully blackened before he started pulling some real horror thriller shenanigans. Like, the dude forced MC to stay with him because the MC's other choice of roommate had previously tried to assault him. Sir, with that kind of love, who needs Jigsaw?

[collapse]

The second arc's introduction was also iffy, since the MC uses a system drug to make himself desirable and then tries to coerce the ML into sleeping with him... the backstory of the OG goods and ML is also gross, with OG goods holding ML's mother's life and health hostage. This is all within the first 3 chapters of arc 2 (or Chapter 25) if you're concerned about if these are spoilers. Real slag shou moments. Of course, I barely read this arc, so maybe it redeems itself later...?

From what it looks like from other readers, the overarching story is good, but I would avoid the story if you're unsure because of any of the content warnings I listed in this review. <<less

Thanks for the hard work translating~

I really enjoyed this novel it was a 9/10 for me I usually don't like QT world hopping novels, but I got curious after seeing some people talk about it and hearing about the warm corpse arc which actually lived up to the hype.

overall, this was short and sweet there was some arcs that I didn't like but it still kept me entertained and I wasn't bored at all throughout the whole novel.

I also really like the MC thought process and how he changed bit... more>> by bit most people didn't like it so if you don't like scheming shous then this isn't for you.

now that this is over, I just feel empty and Bittersweet after finishing and want more definitely going to reread later.

Spoiler

I'm a bit sad though we didn't get much closure on the mother I guess I wanted to see them talk to her again. And I wanted to see the side couple 00 and 25 get more on their back story but it was wrapped up enough That its kind of satisfactory

Odd QT novel, in which the MC, an eternal cold CEO bachelor, was forced by his desperate mom to test out some otome-like dating-sim VR system project that allows gamers to explore different relationships set in different fantasy worlds, and find potential mates if compatibility is high.

I did not like the first 2 worlds because they were too melodramatic, with cliché little love games which I find annoying, be it in fiction or real life. But I love all the following arcs in the rest of the novel, more straightforward,... more>> adventurous and less dogblood. I loved the 2 systems' characterisation and funny dialogues with MC.

The translation is good, but with some flaws that made some paragraphs incomprehensible. <<less

A new favorite, especially in the QT genre. Plenty of the same classic cliches you can find in any QT story, but the execution was beautiful. The ML is the right amount of yandere, though there are situations of ambiguous consent due to the MC not being able to go too far OOC. The intensity of emotion was amazing, and I enjoyed seeing the MC's emotional growth and hilarity with the system. Extras help clarify the plot properly and wrap things up well, though a few more extras about their... more>> real life couldn't have hurt. Love this dog food. <<less

I wanted to give 2 stars not 1 =.=‘

parts of the story are good. MC is good at manipulating emotions and the arcs aren’t super predictable and mostly stay interesting enough. Both MC and ML have a shaky bottom line towards consent and taking advantage of someone, and frankly they both suit each other. Here’s the thing, MC is genuinely in a virtual game. So you can’t judge him because it’s not real. Blowing up a town in a video game or robbing someone in Skyrim has no bearing on... more>> that person in real life.

The lowering of stars is because the first arc just has a lot of fat-shaming. It’s extremely uncomfortable to read and at no point is the hypocrisy of treating someone like tr*sh for being ‘fat’ pointed out, instead it’s considered obvious and right. There is a similar problem in the third arc, and it really lowers this story from an okay fun QT story to moments of genuine discomfort. <<less

This was was a fun, brainless read with a Gary Stu lead. The arcs were mostly entertaining and quick paced. It’s one of those reads where you just turn of rational side of your brain and enjoy the ride.

Characters are okay. MC is a smug, cat that got the cream type shou. He gets super into character (despite having no acting background *ahem* Gary Stu) which basically just turns him into whatever character he’s playing. We only really see his personality when he’s interacting with with the system.

ML is generally... more>> a doting gong but he’s abnormally quick to blacken and thus has some yandere attributes. Some of his scenes with MC are also extremely dubious in terms of consent.

Other characters are basically just canon fodder aside from the systems (there are two). No one really stands out.

Overall, a fun read. I recommend with reservations around consent. <<less
