Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.“How about friends? Being friends with an Emperor isn’t an opportunity that comes around often.”
As if seeing right through Lehart’s thoughts, Icarus drew a firm line.
“I’ve never had friends in my life, and I plan to keep it that way forever.”
Lehart, as if he’d expected this, flashed a sly grin. Then, stroking his chin, he murmured, “Then I guess the only spot left is lover.”
Icarus barely managed to swallow the drink he was sipping, choking out a violent cough.
***
Lehart, the war hero and Emperor of the Lesius Empire, receives a dire prophecy from the High Priest — a warning of impending calamity and ruin. Following the priest’s advice, Lehart sets out alone to the deadly Vainos Snow Mountains to seek the so-called “monster” who may be the key to saving the empire.
But the “monster,” Archmage Icarus, refuses to leave the mountain.
With no other choice, Lehart stays in the mountains to persuade him. As Lehart clashes with the prickly Icarus, he begins to awaken to unfamiliar emotions, slowly recalling the threads of a past connection, one by one.
