One of the readers says that, despite some boringness, the novel left an impression, and I cannot help but add more to it.

This novel is amazing. I can easily overlook some naiveness in the story, such as MC's constructing ability or her talent for learning everything from books because of only one feature: this novel has so much logic! And MC! She is lovable in her separation from society. And she doesn't follow the trend.

The author breaks stereotypes and tramples to death the cliches from natural disaster end stories.

There is... more>> such popular space cheat and dreams about the future, however, our MC shocks the reader with her smart plans. No going with the herd of two-legged animals, no crazy large-scale shopping, how much savings has the regular clerk? What about killing using space? Who among those beauties with tons of things saved can in emergency do the same as our cool girl? That's what should be called cold-blooded and decisive.

I was also fooled by the tag "romantic subplot". Till the end of the story, I was looking for a ML and got a happy marriage only in the next generation.

Spoiler

In this novel you will find that our MC stays single from the beginning to her death without wavering for a moment. The only romance gets her picked-up daughter with a neighbor who is our typical ML with a background

This is an apocalypse novel, but there are no zombies or human with abilities (except the FL space, there is nothing supernatural). Earth just decided to purge humanity by sending a couple of disasters, like earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic winter etc.

This is a slow paced novel, and the tone of the storytelling changes a few times. At one point it seems like a cooking novel, because there were a lot of descriptions of all the food the FL made.

The story follows our FL throughout her life, from her twenties till the... more>> very end. She decides to distance herself from people, and is ready for a lonely life. There is some description of society's degradation, but she doesn't really face it much, she's more like a bystander. My favorite part is the ending, because she managed to life a fulfilling life.

I'm not sure if I should recommend it to you. The novel can be boring sometimes, I skipped some parts of it. But it definitely left an impression on me. <<less

Novel is slow-paced and an easy read. Entire story centers around FL and being an introvert, she doesn't have any close friends. Being introvert doesn't mean being anti-social, and I appreciated that the FL is shown communicating well with others when necessary.

Even though it's a rather slow-paced, there are still tensions arising from the unpredictable environment.

Having spatial abilities is a cheat, but this FL approach the utilisation of this power in a more realistic manner I think.
Spoiler

For example, she doesn't go to a supermarket or a supply-chain storage facility and just 'wipe' everything into the space.

She hoards, but enough so that her life can be assured while still improving herself and her skills.

Translation is good, but I reckon it's gonna take a long time to finish this novel considering the current pace. As mentioned, this is a slow-paced novel, it's not one to read if you're looking for drama, fighting or killing.

It's a good read, but I skipped a lot of the parts that tend to drone on on what I feel were unimportant details. To each his own.

I love this story. It's an apocalypse story but it feels so real. She has no superpower, with limited fund, has no one-no family no SO, just very very fortunate in encountering a storage space that although can expand but cannot used as a farm or store any living things.

Her approach in preparing for the apocalypse is also a realistic one. And I feel like if I were her, I'd do the same thing, just with the addition of my family.

It's a realistic story and I very much enjoy it.

Very slow paced. The entire novel plays out almost like a diary, centered around the MC's daily life and other important happenings around the world, all throughout her entire life. Despite the initial idea that majority of the story will be living in the apocalypse, almost half of the novel was actually centered around the MC preparing for the apocalypse, and not living during/after it! Very true to the title, I must say.

MC is very introverted, but not anti-social, though a large portion of the novel she isn't interacting with... more>> others anyways. She actively aims to avoid other people, until the latter end of the novel. She is very cold to strangers, but kind to people she finds harmless or show her proper goodwill. MC is very pragmatic and calm, which is enjoyable and fresh, though at times it can be problematic and MC even states this herself.

Quite often I wanted to skip chapters, as nothing much was really happening, but at most I only skimmed through about 10 chapters, and completely read everything else. I don't regret this. Having read everything the MC has done and experienced really made me appreciate the last 40 or so chapters, especially the end. (Including most of the extras).

Overall, it's a really enjoyable novel to just sit back and appreciate this loners slow life with ups and downs. It really left an impression on me, perhaps because of how rare it is for novels to span through an entire MC's life, instead of one or two portions of their life. Might not be for anyone who dislikes a slow and (for the most part) calm read with little real drama and action, not that this means it's all sunshine either, as the apocalypse still causes issues for the MC.

The main reason I'm rating this a 4/5 instead of higher is due to how often I felt like skipping chapters due to little happening, but that's really to be expected with this kind of novel, so if I could, I'd probably rate it more a 4.5/5 instead. Splendid read. <<less

It's my first time to come across this apocalypse story with slow paced and (truly) loner survival with some realistic detail. As most of narrative like reading MC diary, I really appreciate every wise decision and reasons she made and can't ask myself if I was her what should I do Lol.

If you want to ask why you must read the story with telling her legend/diary (I mean because it is start when her at 26 years to almost 80 years with fine details) and it's sooo long and too... more>> much details, someone might think it's bored. I can give you some points that you will find its interesting..
    • Female lead with no romance line in apocalypse theme novel! But her adopted daughter has it.
    • Self survival in realistic theme, no magic (except for space), no super power (also except for space), no become hero of mankind (just surviving for herself), no town owner (she always stays in the woods), no buying everything with un limit money (she just grab when it was already abandoned), no system to archive rewards (she could get them by working hard on her own)
    • The dimension space for collecting only!! No living can come in including herself
    • 'Hording is life' is a important motto

    • Settlement a habitat from deep valley to northern forest
    • DIY, She create most of everything i.g. Home, furnitures, foods, well, from scratch by using survival guide books set (I want that books set too. It has most details you should know about surviving in woods, herbs, how to make shelter, how to find food and cook book, how to select habitat, how to protect yourself, how to create weapons, animals)
    • And more~

The mc's thoughts of her hands being blackholes while listening to peppy musical instruments in the background then changing it into a battle one is pretty entertaining😅

But the mc's pretty frugal I I were her I'd just buy tons of things then wait to die during the end

This novel was quite refreshing to read. The MC's actions and decisions were relatable to me. She made sure that she was fully prepared and even made it a point to learn self defense. There's very few novel with such details. I also liked how the villains received their retribution and how the MC was able to make critical decisions to save her life repeatedly. She does not procrastinate and is willing to take the lives of the people who threaten her but is not blood thirsty. Lastly, I appreciate... more>> how complete the ending was. <<less

Slice of life following the MC's life from her twenties until she dies of old age. The middle part was boring to read since it was just about her cooking/making various things while alone.

Romance: none at all, although she adopts a child.

It was good at the start but author glorified their own country too much and entiirely destoryed two countries which in reality don't get well with them. Also, it is uncomfortable as you are using real countries as prototype.

MC also seems a outsider. Even if she is antisocial, it is as if she has no human feelings.

Not worth reading.

In a global disaster it is impossible to be as deatched as MC.

This novel is one of the most realistic one I have ever read. There's no annoying or dramatic plot about bad relatives or neighbours, because she handled all of them early on, and cutting them off cleanly.

It started fairly interesting but became less so the longer it went on.

MC didn't really strike me as that interesting, mainly got confused rather though simply became uninterested to her affairs in the later chapters. Though she isn't really a horrid character, neither is she that likable, at least that was how it was for me.

Mainly just wanted to continue reading cause was more curious about how the rest of the world is responding to the crisis such as the people MC got to know beforehand that would pop up... more>> occasionally. But given in the later parts it is just all about the MC with even less news about the rest of the their world, decided to drop it there.

Again, though not really that bad but not that good either.

All in all, story wise and char wise from up to where I got to, gave it a rating of 3 since it was so so for me.

After a long break, found this again and decided to see what happens since it didn't have that much chapters left.

New foundings were: Started out interesting, fell of in the middle, then started to pick up again at the end.

The mid part where it fell off were the times where MC started to become secluded. She felt too detached to her surroundings which left a long lasting impression for me. Even when it started picking up at the end, she still felt a tad too detached which I found to be dull. Her reintroduction to society was a tad rough but made things a touch better. Not only breaking away from her monotonous grind, it also introduced new characters to the mix and even helped with MCs growth.

On that note, was better than my initial impression but still roughly the same rating since it wasn't that significant of a change. The title still needs more polish if ever. <<less

The MC is very realistic and pessimistic.. In the beginning, the novel start with detailed boring narrative of her life, her work life, her prepations and her plan for the future. I stop reading at that due it being boring.

Other than that, the translations is good and it's pretty well built. But very slow-paced.

This is one of my favorite slice-of-life novels up to date. Like a proper slice-of-life, it covers MC's whole life from her youth until her passing and then some more, sometimes paying attention to her daily life, sometimes skipping time between important events. While there is apocalyptic setting, the novel mostly describes her day-to-day life with not much plot, and since she doesn't interact much with society, there isn't much going on even if whole world is collapsing in the background. Because she is prepared from the very beginning and... more>> has stockpiled a rich variety of resources, she doesn't face much challenge either. For some, it may be boring and mundane, but I found it really relaxing. The novel has Robison Crusoe wibe, though with supernatural space for convenience.

It is also pretty realistic and pays attention to small but important problems usually overlooked in similar novels. Like matters about toilets, menstrual periods, insects, rodents, food spoilage, and other things that are supposed to make life really difficult but usually never mentioned. While MC can use her OP space to overcome most of aforementioned problems, logical and realistic world has its own merits nonetheless. Her own hard work is also indispensable since her initial supplies are limited due to limited funds and the fact that things can realistically break. She won't be able to survive for years with 50 kg of potatoes or use a single bicycle for several decades without maintenance.

The writing style really resembles a diary, mostly covering what's happening in MC's life, which sometimes can be somewhat detached. MC herself is likeble, with introverted but resolute character, who takes responsibility for whatever choices she made. She will encounter her own psychological problems, anxiety, character changes, etc. Her character is not stagnant, which I appreciate a lot. There is not much deep emotional struggle, but being emotional in her circumstances will never help, so it's understandable. She will kill without much hesitation if necessary but won't if not. All in all, she feels alive and realistic but not annoying, a balance hard to find these days. Other people are realistic as well, with their own struggles, emotional entanglements and changing attitudes due to different circumstances, though good people mostly remain as good throughout and bad people don't really change and get their deserved ending eventually. While they do adapt, there is no drastic changes to characters already introduced. Fine with me since the story is mostly about MC and her solitude anyway, but the character depth of people in apocalyptic enviroment remained mostly unexplored except for some events somewhere in the background. If not for some global ecological changes at the beginning, you won’t even remember that there was an apocalypse and just treat it as common people living somewhere in the wilderness. While society did collapse, we only get to witness some aftermath.

To summarize, it's a good slice-of-life survival novel. Nothing too dramatic or too challenging, no big ups and downs. Due to existence of space survival part won’t be explored in depth (like starting fire from nothing, making tools, none of those). Just a story of an ordinary person adapting to different circumstances. Without proper mood it can be boring, but if you want to read a proper slice-of-life centered around one person, this one is worthwhile. <<less

This really is a very good novel like it showed the other side of coin during an apocalypse with a space in possession, instead of living among the crowd in city area with all the zero dollar shoping and all. Here in this novel we really read about an individual minding own business along with occasional kind heartedness, all the skill learning and recording, and the age progression to old age with children and grand children.

It really is a light and good reading 📚 ✨️.

A beautiful story about the complete life of a woman who goes through catastrophic events alone. She seems cold to others but she is very kind. I really liked reading her story.

Personal note: MC does not ever have a romantic relationship. A good wholesome story to reread.
