Non-typical “chasing the wife at the crematorium”

Ji Chunxiao (top) × Chen Xu (bottom)

Ji Chunxiao, much like his unwavering belief in materialism, gravity, and the law of energy conservation, firmly believed in three laws about Chen Xu:

1. Chen Xu loves him deeply.

2. Chen Xu is his loyal “licker” (devoted follower).

3. Chen Xu will always stay by his side, no matter how hard he tries to push him away.

Thus, Ji Chunxiao began his endless antics of messing around in front of his “wife.”

Until one day, they both reincarnated.

Ji Chunxiao, completely unbothered and proud, thought, “What’s the big deal? My wife will always fall in love with me again!”

So, full of confidence, he eagerly waited for his wife to come running back to him, head over heels as always.

But!

In this life, his wife treated him like air! Completely ignoring him!

Ji Chunxiao, feeling wronged, anxious, and utterly confused, finally swallowed his pride and asked Chen Xu, who had also reincarnated:

“Last life?”

Chen Xu replied, “Sorry, I l**ked the wrong person.”

Later, when Chen Xu accidentally came across Ji Chunxiao’s diary,

Chen Xu: “Huh? What are these three laws?”

Ji Chunxiao immediately hugged his “wife,” trying to cover up his guilt with affection.

Ji Chunxiao’s Three Laws:

1. I love Chen Xu deeply.

2. I am Chen Xu’s loyal “licker.”

3. I will always stay by Chen Xu’s side, no matter how hard he tries to push me away.

FAV FAV!!

I really love this story. As they said, the crematorium is not much the “same”. I’m so happy with how it ended and the extras are so cute and fluffy.

This is one of those stories that it’s nice to know not only one POVs because apparently both have sacrificed and finally grew together this time.

The story is short but is enough to tell a good story for me. Because if the author would prolong the story it would feel forced.

ML has quite an attitude and some of u might be angered to death. However, the way I see it, it is necessary for the plot progression. All I can say is that he deserved to suffer first.

I was happy with their character development because it was not only ML who grew and learned but the MC also matured to a more better person who... more>> can love others and himself. After the first few chapter which was sad and full of angst, the rest was full of sweetness and tears of joy. I still cried all throughout the story because that's how moving it was. The story always hid some sweetness-overload candies, enough to savor for a long time. Overall it was wholesome.

Definitely worth a reread. <<less

Again... Miscommunication will lead the relationship ends.

So... if there's something to communicate please do.

Second Chances, like second life and rebirth is hardly to happen in reality, so please speak up and if no one listens then leave.

... more>> This couple love each other but the shou is too much of a giver that made gong thought it's right to demand more. Just like what he said it's not what he do that he loves but because it's him who do it that's why he love it.

Good thing, Second chance was given, so they can correct things. Hmph 😒 <<less

Short, sweet, and quite satisfying. Just the right amount of angst to balance out the fluff. Growth in both MC and ML, in an appropriate pace with the length of the novel.

Almost a guilty pleasure hahaha. Feel good wife-chasing factor and much brainless tooth rotting sweetness.

Although ML likes to refer to MC as wife (and even uses ‘her’??) which is not my thing, the whole novel overall is short, sweet, and very fluffy.

The length is just nice for the amount of intensity of the novel. There wasn’t a need to overcomplicate things. It’s almost like they had a spat, reincarnated, and la-di-da resolved it and both finally grew up a bit.

Cute.

Honestly the "non-typical" crematorium pitch got me immediately. I have an inclination towards crematorium novels, but sometimes the process is just too agonizing and the MLs suck so much, so I wanted to see how this would be different.

This story is very short, cutting out any filler or repetitive scenarios, and overall has a more grounded tone. The reasons MC stayed in this relationship for so long and the reasons their relationship wasn't working are well-considered and realistic, making it less frustrating to read and easier to support their reconciliation.... more>> I genuinely like MC and ML together; they make each other realize important things about themselves and grow as people. I started this novel just wanting to read some wife-chasing and ended crying the entire last portion of the story because I was touched by both characters' maturation.

All in all, the main story is only 14 chapters, so it's a pretty low-stakes commitment even if you're unsure. A snotty thumbs up from me. <<less

Tbh ML isn't all that bad and I know I might get hate for it but like he grew up being pampered and treated like royalty and his behaviour further worsened because of MC's enabling. Even in his new life, MC isn't really very strong with his rejection towards ML, it feels half hearted. Imo ML also only needed a reality check and he would have started being open with his affections in previous life too. Also in real life, remember to not be like MC who let's people walk... more>> all over him in name of love. People will only truly love and cherish you if you respect yourself first. You need to values yourself first before anyone else values you.

The story in itself is very fluffy and cute and will leave you with a sweet taste. Both undergo changes that were much needed to be a better partner to each other and which again, imo, only needed a little push. <<less

It was actually really good for a fairly short story. Add one spoiled, ML who finally has to take a look at himself and his behavior to an MC who grew up learning to be the best child and not make any waves (which made him a pushover). Then, take them back to high school where they see everything that happens in a new light.

Thanks to the author as well as the translator, KnoxT.

Speedrun of a novel. Toothache level of sweetness, ML is a dumbo but he grows on you. He’s brave and owns up to his mistakes which is a definite plus point.

The novel has very Self Therapy type of character growth as both MC and ML realize what they did wrong and immediately change themselves. This works because it’s a short novel but still feels a bit flat.

Such a cute short story, eventhough they loved each other very much they didn’t communicate properly which led to an imbalance in their relationship. Given a 2nd chance, they were able to talk to each other how they really felt and wanted. They are such a sweet couple.
