It's revealed towards the end that MC's soul was split into two parts: the original Chaeyoon was the 7% of the soul while MC was the 93%. MC was put into a body that should not exist (has no soul), which was why people always felt a sense of repulsion towards him. On the other hand, original Chaeyoon only has 7% of his soul so his physical body was always on the verge of dying.

The strange thing is even though they are supposed to be the same person/same soul, the writer clearly made them out to be very different, with different eating habits, hobbies and etc. And then at the end when the system said the soul is merged and whole again, they still didn't give original Chaeyoon's memories to MC.

That makes it feel as if the 7% soul/original Chaeyoon was erased, like he was a mistake instead of the MC. It gives a bitter taste to me because I have thought that the original body could add a layer of complexity to MC's character, making him more understanding of the og's childhood and his struggle but no, they just ignore the og and wipe him out of existence. MC himself shows little care for the body he took over, and only thinks of his past struggle.

I don't dislike MC however since he has his own difficulties, ML not caring is still okay even though it's sad he spared no thought for a chid who was such a big fan of him. My biggest irk was even the family of past Chaeyoon also swept him under the rug. And it was not that the system made it so that they have to accept MC. The family members themselves could tell that MC is different from their child yet they think oh, it's okay even if you are a "different person" (their words, not mine) and they would love MC anyway as long as the body survives. If I was the og 7% soul I'd be heartbroken, what did he do wrong for no one to even mourn him like that? Personally, the ending becomes very unenjoyable for me because I keep expecting some justice/understanding to be given to the original Chaeyoon but he clearly was never in the author's consideration.

MC didn't deserve the hate he received in his previous life, I truly can't understand it, when he's so talented in his job. I'm glad he received a loving family in his new life and I truly wish for his happy ending.

ML gave me typical cold guy vibes at first but hidden underneath was a far more intriguing character. When he realised who MC is, all by himself, through MC's previous life personality traits in the current life, it was a little stalkerish, but strangely beautiful to be honest.
