I read a lot of this series, hoping it would get better over time. Spoiler: It doesn't.

MC's personality can be defined as a "genki guy, " hard-working, average intelligence, extraverted, typical Japanese man. His physical appearance (going by other's standards in the novel) is top-notch. He's tall, good-looking, ripped, and for good measure they made him well-endowed to boot (which they bring up more times than needed). And in a world where men are scarce and don't exhibit particularly charming personalities, this protagonist is the equivalent of a pro e-sports... more>> player going into a lobby full of newbs.

At first, you'd think "this is fun, in a power-fantasy kind-of-way." But it gets boring over time as the story never develops past this aesthetic. The main character might not be a genius, but he is still the 'Gary Stew' archetype, and literally never shows flaws. Couple this with the lack of interesting character interactions and it becomes mind-numbing. I'm not saying there aren't any side characters, but they're just not very appealing. One of them was a "trap" whom we assume would fall for the protagonist, and maybe he did? IDK. But one thing is for certain, the author wants to nip the idea of romance with them in the bud for fear of alienating the readers.

As for the heroines, they are all part of a web forum (think 4chan) and have been actively stalking the protagonist for about as long as he's been in this world. The idea itself was novel in the beginning, truly, but it outstays its welcome pretty quickly. Chapters of the story go like this: Protagonist does thing, people in friend group help, big reaction online (4chan), maybe show a snippet with one of the heroines, repeat. If you couldn't tell, this formula denies screentime for heroines and instead substitutes it with web forum shenanigans. This is the reason why I dropped this series. I am SO sick and tired of the same things being said ad nauseam.

Okay, but what of the "plot"? Is it any good? Honestly, it's passable for one or two chapters, then it just drops off a cliff. You have the God-of-Playboys in a world with women starving for Se. Gs. And yet the protagonist just throws them all into the abyss because he wants to be faithful to some random God-given-human-form of a woman. It literally doesn't make sense how perfect this person is, or why she's even relevant to the story. It got to the point that I started detesting the protagonist because of her relationship with him, he's denying the world he is living in. I'm sure the author is planning to loophole-logic the protagonist into accepting the harem life, but to me it's just a way of making sure the protagonist gets to keep his cake and eat it too (morally speaking).

Recently, I picked up a manga by the name of "A Parallel World With A 1:39 Male To Female Ratio Is Unexpectedly Normal" and this is exactly where this story should have been heading in. Unfortunately, it doesn't. This story made me waste a few hours of my life, hoping I'd see another R-18 scene with my fave girl: the military woman, but when she finally got re-introduced into the story, NOPE, CAN'T DO THAT, GOTTA BE MONOGAMOUS. I literally can't express how angry this made me, and for that, I hope no one else falls for this series' lies. Find something else to read, you won't regret it.

TL;DR: It's garbage pretending it isn't. The tags/title are all just a bait-and-switch for annoying BS. 1/5. <<less

If you're looking for R18+ this is not for you. This WN even censors words such as "p*nis", "m*sturbate", "er*ct" and even the word "s*x"... tags in this novel are bullshit. If you want a no-brainer self-insertion Author-to-MC as the ideal man who will never betray his love but is loved by every single woman in the world, read it.

20y/o aspiring idol with no family dies when part of the scenario falls into his head and reincarnates into a 15/16 y/o boy with the same name and same looks but with a family of 3: Mom, Older Sister & Young Sister who wants to dry empty his nuts. Soon after reincarnating, he decided to fulfill the desire from his past life to become an idol and make people happy.

In a world where there is a 1:100 male-to-female ratio, only political and economic roles were reversed, and not because of the "Whamen strong! Punny Males are weak!" matriarchal ideal... it is just because there are no males to take in those roles. Period. In a world where polygamy is almost enforced and male s*erm is used as political bargain chips, the MC is an imbecile at best; I'll get to it in a moment. The only good qualities he has are those who are required to be an idol, e.g.: good looking, tall, good at singing, good at acting, charismatic, and good at talking to people. That is the extent of his qualities. Honestly, I was hoping for him to evolve as a character but after 8 volumes and 195 chapters, I give up... I'll drop this WN. There are better stories out there to read.

World Building

In a world where there are so few men, women are emotionally and sexually starved. Women can't control themselves when there is a man nearby and enter into a socially awkward behavior to secure a man but at the same time, their emotions and desires are so out of control that they do the opposite and are making "regular men" to reject and belittle the female population. Nevertheless, men use women for economic leverage.

Women are so emotionally starved, that they often pay men for the silliest and s*upidest things like for smiling or just waving at them. Paying them for physical contact is a matter only the extremely high class can pay. And yet, Author says the MC's best friend was meant to be a male prostitute for the most powerful clans of Japan.

Author let us know about the social problem of men abduction and r*pe are not only a domestic serious concern that the Government constantly addresses but a worldwide problem. There is the Male Protection Act that protects the freedom and liberties of men but doesn't go into specifics on what the hell does for men other than "to protect men".

This is what got me to drop this WN: Aqua's Personality.

For context, the denseness in a Japanese MC is a depiction of what is seldomly called the "Yamato Otoko" (大和男) which is the male counterpart of the idealization of the perfect Japanese woman, the "Yamato Nadeshiko". The "Yamato Otoko" embodies the perfect Japanese men who live up to the traditional Japanese virtues and values such as integrity, strength, loyalty, and a sense of duty, to his heart and soul. Those are commendable attributes if they weren't taken to the extremes of idiocy and social ineptitude as the MC does.

I've seen dense characters and then there is Aqua. I really hate that kind of behavior in an MC if not done properly. He is a 20 y/o young man trapped inside a 15 y/o adolescent. His life experience revolted in a world where the male-to-female ratio is roughly 50/50. As such, he is capable -or should be capable- of sustaining a normal conversation with women and somewhat reading the intricacies of tacit body language to a degree. However, when it comes to the s*xual advancement of the women of this world he proactively becomes inept and flat-out lies to himself so he can feel he is true to his values and be able to sleep at night.

Aqua does have a libido and acknowledges the s*xual attraction and desire for the women around him. He also acknowledges his desire to tease, hug, kiss, fondle, mol*st, and ultimately have s*x. But he abstains because he wants to hold the values of a Japanese man who lived a life in a 50/50 male-to-female ratio even if he has been constantly told by everybody that socially and culturally is acceptable for a man to marry and have s*x with multiple women from a young age from a moral and socio-cultural point of view... FFS! EVEN THE GOVERNMENT EXPRESS THEIR ACTIVE COHERSION OF FAMILY BEING FAIR GAME!! i, e: in*est is acceptable.

Up to Vol.9 Ch 01, Aqua rejects the social dynamics of this new world and rather chooses to be a 'p**sy-teaser' (if that isn't a word, I declare this MC is that: a p**sy-teaser). Women in this world or**sm themselves just by watching and listening to his songs, screams they will even pay to be his s*xual s*ave, and the f*cker just says to himself "Must be my imagination" and proactively lie to himself in order not to break this Yamato Otoko persona.

... there are too many blatantly s*upid things, like falling in love and marrying an unknown girl just because she is a princess. Rejecting girls who have a more natural and organic relationship (Miyuki, Kirika, and Kuriri are best girls)... even his sisters and mother are less forced routes than marrying Shumi!

Not everything is bad. The Annonymous Bulletin Board is filled with 4-chan residents and that is gold... until Vol6 in which the Author decided that it will give a full chapter for each action Aqua does, the Annonymous Bulleting Board will get another chapter for them; twice as long as the actual chapter. In other words, half of the volume are long-ass anonymous Bullenting Board commenting on what we already were told in the previous chapter. Not even Naruto dared to have so many filler chapters. <<less

Honestly, if you're reading for harem, this isn't really it. The girls get very little screen time compared to the men, and the male side characters get an unusually high amount of development, povs, and interactions. In comparison, the girl characters just show up for a few chapters at a time, and sometimes are just completely neglected, like his older sister or his sp*rm handler or his classmates, who've only been mentioned a few times in the past few volumes. The main female characters aren't even involved with him most... more>> of the time, and we usually just see them chatting or in a forum reacting to whatever the MC does.

I don't know what the author's goal is in this, but the male characters are unreasonably talented and are all good at whatever they do for no reason, and are placed by the mc's side constantly, put in his talent agency, and pushed to the forefront along with him in whatever he does in the acting or singing for no real reason. And it doesn't really make sense either, because when they're introduced, they're just a normal male classmate, a normal classmate who likes to crossdress, a music producer, a composer, a designer, etc. And then now they're singing and acting by his side even though they had no background with that previously. Like the crossdresser was a vtuber, for like a week, and then he's singing and stuff with his real face right after, like what was the point.

I don't have a lot to say about the female characters, because after they're introduced, you don't really hear a lot from them. They can be summed up as a variety of the mc's fans aside from a few that get a few more interactions due to the nature of their professions. The main female lead you see the most is a princess who is another fan is I guess is the lead because she's the richest, prettiest, and is a literal princess of a country. Anyway her only traits are; Fan, rich, princess.

Anyway I'm still reading anticipating the harem, and I think its cute how all the fans react sometimes.

Long story short, not really my preference, as theres too much time on male characters and all the 'harem' aspects get sidelined for the mc's and his male friends entertainment gigs. <<less

Honestly this one is in a bit of a weird spot. First off all this started out as a smut story in a gender reverse world where there is about 1 man for every 100 women at the same time there is also a c*astity reverse world where women are crazy about s*x and men being r*ped or kidnapped is a daily occurence while most men instead are herbivores who are often scared of women.

In comes the MC who on his debut as a male idol died because a part... more>> of the set fell and crushed him to death. So compared to every other man in this new world he is instead more in line with a normal teenage boy from our world and doesn't really understand that all the girls wants to spread their legs to him.

So the story is pretty much a smut story set up with an attractive h**ny guy in a world of reverse gender and a heavy skew towards the amount of women. At first the story heads in a fairly obvious way with the MC getting involved with a bunch of girls and doing some semi raunchy stuff but then all of a sudden it turns into more of a normal beta male story where the MC is involved with a bunch of girls but doesn't get together with any of them. So after the first few chapters where there was some s*xual stuff for the next 80 or so chapters nothing really happens.

Then he get's involved with one girl throwing herself at him but then he has to decline it because he can only sleep with someone he's in a relationship with, then over the next 20-30 chapters he starts a relationship with someone but then he can't do it with her because it's to early for them and then a third woman throws herself at him naked but again he can't do it because now he's in a relationship so it would be unfair to her.

So the story doesn't become much of an R-18 rated story at all and it isn't until ch 143 when the MC has gotten married that he loses his v*rginity and even then it's barely half a chapter of smut then afterwards there is some smut after this but to be honest there isn't much smut for the next 200 chapters or so.

Instead the focus of the story is around the MC being an idol in this gender reverse world and the fans and other girls reactions to what the MC does. For instance a large part of the story is written in the form of forum posts made by female fans reacting to what the MC is doing while also telling us some of the stuff that that is happening in the surroundings.

So the story while being posted on an R-18 site and explained as a smut story seemingly makes such a sudden shift is because the author also started posting the same story on a R-15 site but they don't want to rewrite it a lot so instead most of the stuff instead focuses around the R-15 parts and then it is just copy pasted between the two sites but on the R-15 site it just cuts out the raunchy stuff while it is fully posted on the R-18 site however because of this it's almost entirely catered towards an R-15 audience so to prevent to much of the story being cut out.

So if you read especially the first part of the story about 10ish chapters it really feels off compared to the rest of the story since it really seems like the author starts out with a story that is smut focused only to then change direction. Because of this the story also becomes a bit weird to be honest since a lot and I really mean a lot of the focus of the story is about how h**ny all the girls are for the MC while the MC in turn is h**ny for them but won't do anything because of different excuses like, I'm an idol and idol's can't have relationships, oh I can't sleep with someone I'm not in a relationship with, we are to young even if we are in a relationship, I'm sorry but I can't do it because I am in a relationship.

This coming from an MC with the setting and introduction, if I remember right, that the MC is super handsome and fairly buff, has a D twice the size of the average, 10x the libido of a normal man and highest quality swimmers so he's recommended to come and donate them as often as he can. In a world where gender roles are reversed where there is 1 man for every 100 women and polygamy is the norm and men are recommended to marry or start a relationship with as many women as they can handle. There is also the fact that in the character introductions the author will add stuff like the girls erogenous zone or favorite positon (even though almost all of them are virg*ns).

So with the above setting how the story plays out becomes a bit weird.

With all of that said the story is okey, there is nothing really spectacular about it and I honestly get a bit annoyed at how much effort the author puts into what happens around the MC since at times there is seemingly no progress at all because one part happens during 1 chapter and then another 5+ chapters are spent from different characters watching that one part or the forum posts talking about that one part. So it can become quite repetetive at times. At the same time this also let's us the readers see from a lot of different characters view points and how they feel.

So the problem in my book becomes that this is supossedly a smut story but then it's not because the author wants to post it as both a smut and not a smut, there is also the fact that because of the writing style the story either jumps quite a bit or is very repetetive on certain parts. The smut parts are also very rare, there is also the fact that some of them are just randomly inserted but then mentioned that it never actually happened in the main story. The author has also started to add Extra chapters that work as a view in some stuff that isn't happening in the main story, other stuff that randomly happens around the world like a shota having s*x with his family, what if situations like.

If the friend of the MC's boss decided to make a move on the MC since she's in love with the MC's boss and knows the boss likes the MC so by becoming the MC's wife and making him also get together with the boss they can have threesomes so she can do girl on girl stuff with the boss.

The extra chapters also include illustration for most of the girls around the MC.

But all in all the story is quite the mess because of how the author has chosen to both deliver and handle the story. Since I can't stress enough how the story starts as a smut, seemingly wants to be a smut but then isn't a smut but then wants to be a smut just not an actual smut so that it can still be read as R-15 instead of R-18.

So in the end I'll give it a 3/5 just because the story overall is okey I guess. <<less

So from what I've read, this is okay. There are things that might make you uncomfortable if this type of genre doesn't suit you.

Anyways, this is not role reversal. Where men become feminine and women become masculine. Nope, the men here are more reclusive all while the women are more h**ny.

The MC is trying to become an idol for the h**ny women is the gist of the story. Literally everything he does makes them wet. There's also hint of in*est, but no in*est yet. There are some explicit moments but... more>> no seggs scenes yet from what I've read up to.

The men are required to send their seed to the government or something for inspection and what not. So they are required to jack off on a highly specialized fleshlight. Or they can jack off with the help of their personal inspector.

MC is jacked off by his helper with the fleshlight modeled after her v*gina. And she is secretly h**ny for his D as per usual. He went again after being h**ny from his family of his mother and two sisters.

This story has so many moments that I wish I could give 1000 stars to after reading. Most of the greatness is in the individual characters themselves, the comedy, and the personal triumphs of those characters. This story is not, however, what I expected from the title. I expected way more erot*c scenes, instead I feel like the protagonist is way too much of a tease. He should be doing a lot more smashing for the sake of the women. The novel is truly addictive in parts and then very annoying and bland because it seems that the author wants to develop the characters in a good way so if you are reading this expecting the protagonist to f*ck all the girls quickly then you will find it annoying.

Personally I hate everything related to the protagonist's friends like Toa, I consider them disposable and unnecessary characters for the plot and I also hate that the protagonist is a siscon who only pampers his younger sister and completely ignores the other members of the family, the older sister hasn't had a conversation with the MC in almost 70 episodes and is supposedly the most supportive member of the family, so it bothers me that the younger one has more prominence.

Basically MC reincarnated in a world where there are almost no men, since they are so precious, they act like a**holes to women and MC got many girls follower because he is nice (they are online fans tho, they don't interact with MC)

If you look at reviews, you'll see that most who read far enough give it a high rating.

And you know, I'll say this is pretty decent story that I enjoy reading for a week. This is R18 but it's not full of ero time just like what I prefer. So don't expect a full blown harem and f*cking here.

The story range from wholesome, cringe, and funny. That's why some call this weird.

The MC is an idol that want to bring smiles to the girls who never had a chance or... more>> have a bad experience with a man. He's a pure, airhead, dense, but at the same time h**ny MC. The story never focused on the MC chasing every girls and f*cking them, but instead on his life as an idol and how he brought changes to everything around him. He's basically like an ikemen/idol version of Kaito from "Caught up in a Hero Summoning". Some complain how he did things randomly and didn't focus on being just an idol, but in this setting where men are rare in entertainment industry, I think what he's doing is just right and actually give exciting moments. The MC has a guy friends which is so rare in this type of stories. The MC changed them and dragged them together. Also, don't forget that there's a development in his relationship. Its just that the author didn't focus too much and making those happen immediately, but instead focus on his life as an idol and changes he brings including those. He will be in relationship with multiple girls whom he meet and work together.

Now let's talk about the other funny side of the story, and that is the forums. This story has a most forum chapter I read. It might came to the point that you might dislike them from stalling the story, but keep reading them. The forum part is basically not just a reaction chapters but also another way of the author to tell the story. Some continuation and untold parts are there and told from the audience POV. Furthermore, the main characters of those forums will be heavily involved to the MC. It's just so funny to read.

The author didn't write the female character here as just a pokemon to collect. They basically have a solid characters and backstory, especially Emily. And there's like a character involved in an Overlord-level misunderstanding which is damn funny.

Well, I did not manage to tell everything as I'm lazy, but it's a surprisingly enjoyable novel despite the harem-like R18 settings. I read it with low expectation and just came to see how is the harem, but instead stay for a well-written story. <<less

It's such a dumb read, I love it.

A novel you can turn off your brain and enjoy, while not being so dumb it's painful to read. Although despite the premise being what it is, character relationships and romance develops rather slowly, although things have been picking up at the latest chapter.

Read this if you want to read about an idol story, not any other reason. I eventually started skipping the idol chapters because I frankly didn't like them, to progress with the personal story, but I got 7 volumes in and decided I no longer cared for the story. At the point of the story I am, I think the only reason the gender ratio difference exists is to provide MC with worship, because the author has a fantasy about becoming a loved idol and wants a scarcity of rivals... more>> to achieve it. All other aspects of the story take a backseat to the idol story, and I frankly don't think being an idol is that compelling of a story, and this is coming from a person who likes stories about isekai farming... <<less

Have you ever heard a famous singer/performer/star complain that tours are really tiring and wear you down? Have you ever thought you wanted to feel that monotony through a light novel? If yes, this is your dream novel! Started off fun; then felt repetitive; then you slowly start desiring the sweet release of death to escape the boredom until you realize that even though you committed so much time to reading it so far, you don't have to keep reading. I give 3 stars for decent translation and a fun... more>> start. Be sure to bail out when you feel it's dragging because it won't get better.

This is basically a 4-koma manga in novel form with a little bit of ecchi-ness sprinkled about. Hilarious to read, the author did a good job imo making it this funny. If this ever came out in manga form, they would probably cut the le*ds but still wouldn't mind with just the funny bits lol

Normally I don't comment, but I will for this one since it's a bizarre one.

At first, it's clear that the author aims for a very typical c*astity-reversed story with the intention of making it quite erotic. However, as the story progresses, the author changes its path to be focused on the MC and his male friends 's growth in the idol industry, abandoning the story's main idea. It's not bad but in exchange for this, the story isn't about school life and ordinary life stuff, it is now rather more... more>> of a classical harem story. There isn't much drama and the author doesn't seem to manage their characters well. The main focus is his growth as an idol.

As a c*astity-reversed story, that fact is basically thrown away. At first, it did look like a c*astity-reversed story but as the story progresses, the author just seems to slowly forget about its main essence. Only the good things about a c*astity-reversed story affect the MC, other things such as stalkers, s*xual harassment, stresses, and crazy girls are only mentioned and conveniently kept away from the MC for "good reasons* or do no harm to him. The point is, the author doesn't view the c*astity-reversed with a "reversed" perspective, as if man in that story is the only problematic thing.

In conclusion, don't expect an R18, school life, normal life matters and a very much c*astity-reversed story from this novel.

Hello fellow readers !

If you're looking for some h-reading, you can go away. There are some steamy passages here and there, but that's not the main focus.

The main focus of this novel is the story of Aqua, a young man from our world sent over there, who wanted to become an idol here and died at 20.

A world with such an overwhelming majority of women may be attractive for coomers, but we get to discover the pain these women endure in their everyday life. Aqua does too and decide to... more>> become and idol again, to make them all smile.

So yeah, it's really heartwarming.

But it's also absolutely hilarious. The comedy is really great and the 2chan-like threads are comedy gold that brought tears to my eyes and gave me abs.

You also have a good love development and we're getting to the point where the harem begins to form...

It's really a great novel to read, just don't go in with a coomer mind.

"As a Harem Enjoyer, this is one of the best polygamic harem Japanese hentai novels I have read so far. It suits my taste. I highly recommend it if it is your cup of tea."

Summary:

  • MC was an Idol who died and reincarnated in the Otherworld similar to the Earth as Shiragone Aqua.
  • Men's s**en is valuable. There's a job called s**en Extractor. Being a s**en Extractor has a Grade rating.
  • Women are more h**ny than Men.
  • Men are mostly hikikomori.
  • Woman-to-Woman as a couple can bear a child. It is very common in the society.
  • MC is a carefree person, but h**ny inside.
  • MC was to become an Idol again.
  • MC met his best friends.
  • MC met his wonderful wife (Legal/first wife).
  • MC was a loyal husband. He was hesitant about polygamy because he didn't want to hurt his wife emotionally. But his wife allows it as long as she likes her, MC can marry another woman.
  • Since MC can marry another woman, MC shows his true self (h**nyness).
  • MC likes b**bs the most.
  • MC married wives (legal wife approved).
Overall, it was fun.

This one had everything to be good but it has one thing that I really hate, which is the fact that the author shoots everywhere which means that every 1, 2 or 3 chapters the MC is doing something different, in a chapter he's trying to become an idol, in another he's at school, in another he's doing Livestream. That's why I'm abandoning it just like I did with Never Die Extra.

Edit:In fact, this is my first evaluation on this site since when I don't like a novel I just... more>> forget about it and move on to the next one, but I had to evaluate this one because I expected a lot from it because of the title, the synopsis, the genres and of the tags (I've seen in some comments that many of them don't match the story). <<less

This novel has it all: cute moments between characters, le*d moments between characters although less than expected (This is good in the end), heartwarming moments that'll bring a tear to your eye, funny moments that'll make you cry, and moments where you start to believe that you too can make a difference in the lives of others just by being kind. I won't say that this novel is for everyone, but I do recommend it to everyone to at least give it a try. Till now except one male others all look normal to me. They don't use abusive words with girls. Also since the ratio is 1:99 that means most girls Shouldn't have much contact with boys since they don't go out and are mostly hikikimori. So why every girl or women believe that boys have bad character in this world and there should be many boys who have good character and not abusive (even if some of them can't talk normally and hesitate to talk to girls).
