It was kind of like cotton candy, sweet but not much substance. The biggest problem is that it read like it was the opener of a much larger work. It reminded me of Thorn Smith's work, (Topper, Rain in the doorway, I married a witch, think of every screwball tv series in the 60s). The supernatural invades the MC's life and things get turned upside down in a heartwarming way. Nice and casual, with no real strings attached. Pretty wholesome, though, just like the story, feels like you are reading it while half-awake, missing a lot of details and plot points. Feels like the prologue of a slice of life serialization.
