Jiang Zhi Xu had a secret, although it might not really be considered a secret.

He had a crush on Xia Shu.

Of course, fifty percent of the Omegas in the school probably had a crush on Xia Shu. As for the remaining fifty percent, they at least admired him.

Jiang Zhi Xu’s luck was slightly better than that of other Omegas — his roommate Yi He was Xia Shu’s childhood friend, and the two had grown up together with a deep bond.

Through this connection, Jiang Zhi Xu occasionally got to interact with Xia Shu, whether it was having a meal together or going out on weekends.

But that was all there was to it.

This is almost like reading a cute Ao3 one shot. Each part is less than 1000 words so it's a really short read. There's a lot and a little at the same time. It finished nicely with no loose ends because no cans of worms were really opened. It feels like it might be the authors first work and it's really nice.

Quite cute. I expected it to be poignant, but I adore it even more when the love is mutual and the MC is oblivious to that mutual love.

You have a top student omega MC and heartthrob alpha ML, where MC firmly believes that ML likes MC’s roommate and close friend (roommate and ML are childhood friends and share no romantic feelings toward each other, just exasperation), so MC continues harboring his little crush while cheering for the “perfect” couple.

One thing I love about the MC is that he’s not desperate—his... more>> love is quiet and gentle. Meanwhile, the ML is seemingly polite and restrained, but you can see the apparent favoritism and possessiveness he shows for the MC. Poor guy makes so many moves while MC is going “ah he really does love my roommate.”

When they get together near the end, it’s pure fluff afterward with a POV from the roommate. Recommend for a quick and cute school life read! <<less

It's quite short, with only 10 chapters, some of which have less than 1, 000 characters, so it's a very quick read—you can finish it in 30 minutes.

The story doesn’t have much development or ups and downs, which is extremely fitting given how short it is.

It’s incredibly sweet, and I liked the dynamic and the idea of the novel; overall, it’s good. I believe a longer novel based on this would be really nice.

Anyway, the only issue is that it was really abrupt.

This read felt like the heart-racing high school romance people experience in their youth, and it prompts your brain to take you back to that moment.

It was such a cute and light-hearted read, which I found quite enjoyable to pass my time before reading anything major. If you're looking for something like that, you may open this book and give Jiang Zhi Xu and Xia Shu's story a try! :D

Cute story. However, it’s so short and simplistic that many things are not properly explained. What’s the reasoning or context behind the ML liking the MC? Was all of the ML’s different behavior to the roommate to try to get closer to the MC via their connection? The relationship is cute but the story is very vague.
