It's a nice novel in the beginning, kinda similar to The Amber Sword and Advent of an Archmage, with decent worldbuilding and kingdom-building chronicles, but all of this quickly goes to sh*t when parallel world plots and time-travel is introduced.

Actual rating 1/5, but am eating rice, so 3/5

Now, time travel and parallel worlds are interesting devices if used well, except that the author has no idea what he's doing and handwaves it all away, leading to plotholes, buttholes and other holes. I'm serious. All the novel focuses on is s*x.... more>> The MC recreates his childhood friends, former guildmates etc as spirits/sexbots and proceeds to f*ck the living daylights outta them! It's frankly disturbing.

To add insult to injury,
Spoiler

his sister reveals herself as the supposed villainous dragon but with a disturbing brother complex and in*estous s*x ensues. This isn't even the main plotline

[collapse]

You've poorly executed orgies, the MC has the stamina of an ox on viagra, the novel is gradually forgotten, there's in-novel cosplay and the s*x isn't even satisfying. IDK why I even read this novel, but my braincells commited mass su*cide. I can't even English properly now. Please stay away. <<less

Ugh I want to like it but I can't. The reason I can't like it is because of the way the author always over glorifyling the MC. The author make it seems like the MC knows everything and best at everything because he's a high-level online game player and a guild master. The author also make every other character beside the MC useless just to glorify how awesome our MC is.

The fillers are goddamn unbearable. Every. Single. F*cking. Chapter. Author took 2 long-ass passages to describe the creation of the world which NO ONE CARES! Even the MC didn't even care!

"But these things meant nothing to Rhode."

Just stick these infos up your ass then.

... more>> MC is also an edgy morron that likes to act cool.

"Ugh, my sister died so I spent 7 years playing games JUST TO DULL THE PAIN, then my parents also died in a plane accident by CRASHING INTO A f*ckING TORNADO."

Like, holy shit! How edgy and illogical can this novel be?!

Also, here's the funny part, MC picked an "underrated" and "hard-to-master" class and somehow managed to become a gaming god with his room-temperature IQ. Author almost came as pathetic in trying to down-play the class by how much "technical skills" the players need to have and how steep the learning curve is supposed to be. I'd eat my own sh*t if this MC could make it far irl.

The harem is a f*cking joke. Author's entire concept of relationship is based on tropes, soap operas and shoujo mangas. I could almost smell his fat virg*n neckbeard odours from across the screen. He's like one the creep f*cks that browse Pixiv for f*cked up #R_18 #ロリ shits. <<less

after binge reading for 15+ days I have to admit, the ending is open, but it is for the best. I don't like it, but it is for the best. As usual, with the snowflake of characters, it is impossible to write down everyone's end. The author is humorous and enjoys putting puns, parodies, sarcasms and jokes to which I like them. I read out of curiosity and stayed for the s*x scenes, the open ones are nicely done, no P and V words though. Though of course as usual... more>> the character development for most are done in a rush, those that are nicely done flow nicely and no abrupt stuff.

The fight scenes are initially welldone, but coming to the end feels sloppy. The interactions with MC and his harems are work, s*x, understand, s*x, though half of the said harem did not go through the baptism that is s*x. <<less

My review is biased because I have read too many novels from the same genre

So far just a generic transmigrated to game world cliched shite. Translations done at Qidian is praiseworthy but the novel in my opinion is a waste of time if you have already read any transmigration or vr novels. Harem makes it worse I'm sure of it as harem rarely goes well anyways.

... more>> If you are a new reader to this genre I highly reccomend you to read this.

The plot armor of the main character is way tooo much!

Spoiler

So Here we have a dude who gets transmigrated to the game he is playing after getting defeated by a dragon... The dude falls outta the sky and a passing by flying ship just takes him in and treats his wounds.... no questions no suspicions just heal the dude who falls outta the sky without any benefits or anything. Then we see the MC is not the dude in the game as he is now the real life version (weak, pale, skinny...) or so it says cos, they get attacked by some flying dudes and this dude just defeats them easily... wow op af I guess... the dude is cool headed which I liked in the beginning but no then he becomes a emotional traditional h**ny dude later on. Anyways its just another cliched harem in*est fking in the broad daylight novel.

Promising story, yet fact that author sometimes *forget* his own setting/rules destroy it all.

Let's look at simple but crucial in "game" genre EXP. MC is only player in party, so he should get full share of exp (as NPC's take 0%), yet after literally days of grinding mobs his lvl remain the same.

Then again, protagonist winning 1v1 against 40lvl, while himself being at 10, explain everything.

The process leading to this review:-

    1. Stumbled upon this page.
    1. Saw the 'in*est', 'rape' and 'polygamy' tag.
    1. I say 'Oh boy, this would be fun' and starts reading this novel.
    1. ???
    1. Started to write this review.
I have read until the latest free chapter, and I can safely say that you shouldn't expect a Chu Feng in this novel. MC isn't exactly an 'Everything according to keikaku' character either, with him relying more on his knowledge of the future instead of his supposedly abilities as the no. 1 player of the MMO game he has been transported into.

But what makes me go

is the fact that there is no sign at all that the tags I mentioned above are true. There is no sign that MC is going to have an in*estual relationship, and it seems that MC is more in danger of being r*ped then being the rapist himself. Only the polygamy thingy seems to be close to the mark, but some of the characters here doesn't subscribe to 'Sharing is Caring' mentality...

Is this worth buying SS? Definitely a NO!

Despite the insipid info dumps, the world is well built. However, the MC is just a moron who likes to act cool and thinks he is smart. He is not (maybe the author thinks he is as he gives lame ass interpretations for his actions). The author seems to have no EQ and the characters are thus extremely immature, which is what detracts from the otherwise decent story.

I would have been fine if the MC was a self-righteous youngster who is still working things out, but the problem is that... more>> the rest of the characters in the story all seem to think highly of his buffoonery, which makes me feel like I am reading the mind of a creative 13 year old.

Characters are unique but their relationship with the MC ruins everything. <<less

I read a fair bit into the novel, because I felt the beginning had promise. But it's really gone downhill in characterization and plot, and the MC seems to carry an inherent player's "it's just a game" mentality to justify anything and everything.

He doesn't bother to tell his subordinates anything, only training and directing them so they'll be useful to him.

Spoiler

Except for holograms of his past player comrades which are the only ones he trusts. The natives? Too s*upid to bother explaining anything to, and only there to be exploited

[collapse]

He is according to the author, repeatedly described "as pretty as a girl" but doesn't bother using his apparently stunning looks for anything even the slightest bit similar to any type of romantic relationship, instead taking the opportunity to sleep with whoever whenever.

Spoiler

He has s*x with multiple female subordinates, again without letting them know beforehand that he'll be sleeping with multiple members nor caring about the implications or drama, only thinking with his d***.

Also, pity the people he captures, because he thinks nothing about r*pe. He'll throw a male captive in a cell to be r*ped by male prisoners, and deal with some of the female captives himself - complete with ens*avement, s*xual ab*se, and r*pe with tentacle play among other things.

[collapse]

The story and character's become absolutely disgusting, and like one other reviewer mentioned, someone's version of a wet dream, and not even a decently written one at that. Stay far away. <<less

The story was good

but two things really ruined the story for me

the pet manual thing With Sonia was just offputting and NTR thing to her boyfriend was totally unwarranted and the fact that the majority of the main cast are girls doesn't help its case but if you can get passed that it's not bad

Garbage. I thought the concept may be interesting but author completely butchered it. MC is supposed to be the top player of the game but once he gets transported to the new world, he literally does shit. I have no idea why he doesn't grind levels to beat his enemies. Like a dumb idiot that just sits there ready to be butchered. Then somehow, thick plot armour gives him godlike abilities which are super unrealistic.

h**ny mofo as well making every single companion of MC a female. All his spirit summons... more>> all take form of a woman. Shitty novel. Don't bother reading. <<less

Dropped, the info dumps were way too much.

Every. Damn. Chapter. Random lore explanations for everything, and for nothing. Basically half or less of each chapter is actually useful, the rest added way too detailed explanations that won't matter anyway. I felt like reading a game guide, not an actual story.

Also, MC seems to be cool headed, but isn't very bright, just super knowledgeable about the game and very OP thanks to the game system.

The worldwide construction, the characters and everything else are great, but with each part that the novel progresses, you realize that Rhode is an arrogant little shit, who ends up having everything very easily. The harem is even worse, but if you're new to reading this kind of easy romance, I recommend it.

Not too bad of a story, but I agree with a prior reviewer that the author made out everything to make the MC be the glorified genius and kills off anyone even remotely close to his level of skill or knowledge. So I can understand why some people won't like it.

That being said, the translators did a wonderful job, the story is well written and I found myself enjoying both the story and the combat sequences-to a degree. Not the best I've ever read, but certainly better than most.

First off, I admit that I was less inclined to give this novel a true try due to the low ratings, and even lower ratings on other sites, so I mostly skim read.

But like the others, I can not suggest reading this novel. If I have to sum it up, it's just every other Chinese novel. The only thing that sets it apart is it's not cultivators for once, though vrmmo genre (he got Reincarnated into though) doesn't make much difference as there's so much of them.

I get it's an... more>> adult harem genre tagged, but we already have forced FL plot from the get go as soon as he gets into the world... and the hero saving the damsel cliche to rush the relationship plot forward......

The question I ask you is if you want to invest your time into hundreds of chaps to read a story like this? As I can say confidently, that I don't. The other reviewers who actually read that much can bash the novel much more than I can tickle <<less

This is probably one of them stories with the most contradictive settings I've read so far.

Like for instance in the introduction of the MC we get told that he's been a complete NEET for at least 7 years because his sister died so he's withdrawn from everything and only plays the game all day but now that his parents also died he's decided he has to get a job since well his parents is no longer around to pay for everything.

But then it turns out the MC is some super... more>> genius who can do anything pretty much oh and he was a super player who slept around with everyone and just didn't want a serious relationship because most relationships he was in ended because he was way to good looking so even his girlfriends would feel bad and jealous so they couldn't be in a relationship because he made them feel inferior.

The above is pretty much the introduction of the MC in the first few chapters.

Then there is a bunch of focus on how the MC is the best player ever in the game and so on. But for some reason the way to make the MC seem like the best and smartest is to make everyone else in the story get -5000 braincells while for some reason the most basic stuff seems to go over the MC's head. Like as an example the MC as a player has a major advantage that that he can lvl up and get skill points he can freely invest into talents or skills. Talents can only be gained with skill points while skills can be upgraded with skill points, by using items or by simply using them. Skill points are however a limited resource and now that he's living in the game world where time runs the same as the real world instead of using skills to upgrade, mentioned to need between 100-1000 uses depending on it's ranks he invests the limited skill points because like before in the game ppl couldn't be bothered to waste time on training so like them the MC just uses his skill points to upgrade his skills cause you know wasting a few hours to at most a few days to just lvl them up is a waste compared to use the skill points he only has X amount of.

Then you have the authors random inserts of frankly weird parts at time that is used to show how "manly" and reliable the MC is while all the girls are shown to be such "nice" girls. Spoiler ahead.

Spoiler

Like for instance one of the weirdest parts is that after the MC goes back to earth we from nowhere get told that one of the harem members was actually pregnant before with the MC's child but was unknowingly forced to have an abortion because her family drugged her which killed the child. Oh and how did she get pregnant? Well they were just friends with benefits but didn't use any protection at all which the MC knew was bad but he didn't wanna be a downer so he didn't bring it up while she wanted his child but being a "good girl" she didn't wanna force him to marry her or be a bother and only wanted to raise the child of the man she loved. But it was such a shock that she actually got pregnant cause who knew having unprotected s*x over and over could get someone pregnant? (Like the author litterly writes she was trying to get pregnant one chapter and then goes on that it was such a shock she actually got pregnant cause who knew it would happen???).

So then to show his manly side the MC follows his harem to torture and butcher the ppl behind killing their child but then because more ppl in the family also looked down on and bullied his harem member the MC decides to just kill everyone in the family cause what girl doesn't like a man that would kill her whole family for her?

Like this whole part came out of nowhere pretty much and was just 3-4 chapters of weirdness to be honest.

Also in this same part before this we have also been informed that the MC's sister + friends (their pretty much the gods of the game world) were the reason why dinosaurs went extinct because they were losing the fight against chaos so they decided to run away or find a solution which was to involve earth in their war which in turn killed of almost every single living organism on earth 65 million years ago wiping out the dinosaurs and are now dragging modern earth into the war as well litterly dooming it as well if nothing changes. But of course the MC lies and blames chaos to humans on earth, cause chaos is bad and his harem members can do no wrong.

Oh and for the record the story also includes in*est (the MC has a daughter with his sister and eventually marries her), underaged girls (the girls are said to be something like 12-14) and pretty much r*pe all done by the MC.

[collapse]

But yeah I could probably go on, in short this is an okey story I guess with a major focus on the MC just being OP, the best in every way and building a big harem, think it's like 30ish girls.

The story is also heavily inspired by The Amber Sword (the author has stated that the story is sort of based of / inspired by The Amber Sword) which leads to the story being a mix of magic the gathering and an MMORPG game but compared to The Amber Sword there is next to no explanation of the system or the stuff the MC get's so you really have no clue of what the stuff actually does for the most part except that he grows stronger. Like sure getting +30% summon duration or -30% summon cost or increased spirit regen or reduction on spirit cost or the cards having 5 attack and 3 defense or whatever sounds nice. But if we have no idea how long the summoning duration is in the first place or how much they cost to summon outside of the MC just being able to summon them over and over and they seemingly have infinite summon duration already then what does an increase summon time or decreased summon cost actually do? And since there has been no explanation on how strong anything is then what does 5 attack and 3 defense actually signify? Basically the author don't seem to have much though out at all to be honest or even explained anything and instead just seemingly took the talent tree from a game like world of warcraft and thought that would be enough while also just adding in random numbers for the summons.

All in all it's an okey story I guess if you don't care for depth of any kind or for the story to make a lot of sense to be honest instead it's just an OP MC gathering his harem while face beating up ppl left and right but in a sort of western medieval fantasy setting. <<less

I run out of completed novels to read so I braced myself reading this cringy novel to the end.

To start of, the author tends to overly emphasize how cool the low IQ edgelord MC is. As usual, the background characters are dumbed down to glorify the MC. Then the MC just goes and kills everyone innocent or otherwise. Even when the MC went back to his original world, he goes off killing the parents of his girlfriend. And as usual, the author glorifies these behaviors.

This is normal to most stories... more>> so I can forgive the author. I read a lot of novels with MCs more detestible than this one. However, the one thing I really cringed and hate on is the MC's harem and s*xual exploits.

Because it's a harem, you will expect every girl will fall to the MC regardless of his attitude. But there should be a borderline for it. I'll warn you, the MC has done bondage, r*pe, NTR, tent**les, pe*ophilia, in*est and even necrophilia. And he's very proud of it. He even talks about it in his parents grave. Every s*xual fantasies of the author is in here.

You can read this story if you're okay with thisk ind of MC. <<less
