— I translated this novel as a tribute to the amazing novelist “Qiong Yao” by Hellowyellow.

In 1986, the novel was adapted into a Taiwanese romantic drama called Many Enchanting Nights. The drama was directed by Liu Lili and also starred famous Hong Kong actress Liu Xue Hua, Taiwanese actor Chin Han, and Lee Tien Chu.

Hellowyellow comment about the story: 5-10 out of 100 people must have experienced something like this. Maybe everyone who has experienced it has almost the same story framework, even though not all the details are the same… When old wounds are almost healed by time, life gives a test by sending acid rain on the wounds, which ultimately destroys faith and belief… When the body can no longer withstand the torture, the heart becomes cold and dead, hopes and dreams are destroyed by the cruelty of reality… Then, where should this self go?? To whom should this heart complain? And to whom is this hope anchored? —- Cruel?? regret? sad? hate?? … Sigh, but life is always like that.
