This story is great for a casual read. There are practically no major conflicts that arise and most minor conflicts are resolved a few chapters after it appears. It is a great slice-of-life story that is able to stir up emotions with its rich descriptions of scenes. If you're looking for a novel to relax to, then this is the one. The interactions between the characters are very entertaining and the overall narrative of the story flows very well. The acting scenes feel alive and the works that Seo-jun (our... more>> MC) are in are properly described, allowing readers to properly imagine the works in their minds.

If you are looking for a relaxing read then this is the one. Solid 5/5.

Now, onto the obviously glaring issues that will arise when reading this novel. The TL is half-assing it. Pronouns are all over the place, movie titles change with every chapter, names are sometimes incorrect, and some sentences just don't make sense. Granted, this does not occur in every chapter. But when it does, it pulls the reader out of the immersion from reading the novel. Be prepared to read some sentences at least twice. It's a shame that an entertaining story is subjected to this treatment. The grade I gave does not reflect this, it is purely a grade for the story. <<less

This was a fun story to read the entire time. First translator did a good job and was actually translating terms. Second translator I think is just using MTL, but it's fine, the meaning is still there. I got so excited by this story, I switched over entirely to MTL and the quality was still 80% there compared to some other MTL I've read.

As far as pace goes, the pace is neither slow nor fast, it really does start with Lee Seojun as a 7 month year old baby. It... more>> feels like he remains the same age for a long time, but actually, there are many time skips depending on what is happening. He doesn't just act all the time, some times he is in school or time just skips to the release of his latest project, so he ages quickly but still slowly. A majority of the story so far has taken place with him being a teenager or a university student/adult.

Seojun as a character is fun to read about because his is pretty focused on acting, but he also has a playful nature that makes relatively "boring" things fun. So there aren't really any truly boring arcs.
Spoiler

There were actually a few less interesting parts of the story actually, but I really binged this so that is expected. To me the most boring movie was the Witch and Wolf movie, nothing about that story really clicked for me. I also started getting bored with some of the movie reviews. Although the reviewer will reveal more of the backstory and Easter Eggs, for a few of the movies it was just an extended recap of what we saw during filming and the first showings. Still, nothing was worth skipping.

[collapse]

What I think is a masterful part of the story is actually how well the author sets something up to take place hundreds of chapters later. Some of it is should be expected, but there were truly some amazing reveals after a set up years prior. There are some themes of fate, cause and effect, and Seojun's role in this world. There are some events that happen where it seems like the author may be forcing yet another incident to happen for Seojun to gain some fame, but with the way everything plays out, it plays out like the hands of fate and is quite satisfying.

Seojun's abilities are beneficial to his acting, but not the primary reason he is considered a top actor. If Seojun can give a 100% perfect performance, his special abilities just put him at 110%. This will be to the point of when he is acting as a sick or dying person, he will have to ensure other actors/directors/fans that he is fine before and after filming because people believe he is really sick. Seojun has two main abilities -Reincarnation and the Library of Life. Reincarnation is obvious, after he dies he will be reborn into something else (dragons, angels, mermaids, fairies, elves, robots, etc). The library of life allows Seojun to unlock abilities he had in a previous life. So if Seojun was a dragon in a past life, he can unlock the aura of a dragon by reading the past life.

With his abilities and talent, Seojun quickly becomes famous and successful, but he has such a good personality that the "fun" feeling remains. The author does a good job balancing fan reactions with his work (I mean, relative to 1000+ chapters. By the time he is in middle school is has a really dedicated following. The fan movement really amps up when he becomes an adult, and I think Seojun's playfulness as a celebrity shines more. As of chapter 1133, the author is finally shifting a bit more, I hope this is the start of a different phase in his adult life (post university!).

It took me roughly 2.5 months to read all the chapters I could find. That was between work and life. I would read when work was slow, during my commute, while watching TV, and before bed. If you are looking for an engaging entertainment novel, this one is for you.

Spoiler

I was determine to get to the end of the available chapters because I accidentally saw that Seojun ends up unconscious for several weeks! Seojun is famously known to be a perfectly healthy and very athletic person, so I was determined to find out why he was in the hospital and the aftermath from when he woke up. This is why the story seems to be entering a new arc post waking from his slumber.

Man, this is the best novel fr (well in the actor section)

The MC is freaking adorable. The story is super interesting. I like how everyone is so fond of MC. There's no hater for now, and I hope there won't be any in the future

Kind of sad to not get more chapter.

Anyways, totally recommend from me :)

The story is soooooo interesting, however the first translation is so hard to read. Like I feel like I can't connect properly with any of the character, and I have to keep stopping to try and understand what's written and it messes with the flow.

It's not the worst translation I've ever tried to read before, it's still understandable, I personally just cant stand it. (Must be spoiled from all the fantastic tranlated novels I've read before.) I'll just have to stick with waiting for the manwha, I also saw there's... more>> a new translator now, I've not checked of theyre better, but maybe if they retranlate from the start I might reread lol, if that ever happens though. <<less

Just finished reading 162 today! I absolutely loved it! I know people would like more challenges and hurdles to happen to MC but I'm happy as it is. MC had lived a tremendous repeative life. Sometimes he died protecting someone, die because of someone and die out of bad luck. I don't see anything wrong with him walking along the flower path in this lifetime.

As a person who enjoys acting, I feel like I'm reading different stories when he act! Although, I do feel he is dependent on... more>> the skills at first but when you think of it in a different perspective. You will realized that those skill was originally his! So what's wrong with using them. I just absolutely love the MC's dedication to fulfill his dream. <<less

Ok, I must agree that its just a loop..... But man is this novel so fun and entertaining. I am currently at Chap162 and I am loving Seojun's acting, its so fun to try and be immersed in his acting and be immersed reading his story.

Regarding his "Maturity" even though he lived 1000 lives.... Isnt he acting pretty mature for his age though? He doesn't get angry easily or have grudges... Unlike other kids, he would be considered mature? What were you expecting? I dont want someone that is always... more>> so gloomy. I don't even know what you guys consider "maturity" is.

Seojun is obviously made to make people smile and have fun CAUSE THIS IS A WHOLESOME SLICE OF LIFE. <<less

Seems like an interesting story where the MC has reincarnated many times and can learn abilities he previously learned from past lives. His goal is to become a superstar but he's starting out as a baby becoming popular through the techniques he's slowly learning over time.

World building doesn't exist at the moment but that is most likely because I'm at the point where the MC is a baby confined to an apartment building where he cannot see the how the outside world is like.

Would be better if the translation was... more>> actually decent but unfortunately its an MTL mess that's barely comprehensible. Too many parts are just all over the place and make zero sense and it ruins the flow of the novel. I want to keep reading this but for someone who's not used to MTL with zero editing, it is very rough trying to translate what's being written. If there is a translator I'll give this a retry but until then I can't keep reading this as I can't get immersed in this mess. <<less

Finally! I was getting sick of all the others. Everything I see is either a romance one with a villainess or someone who reincarnated. If it's not that I would see a novel with magic and adventure that has a levels and such.

This is really a breath of fresh air. I really love an OP MC and this novel has it too. Thanks a lot for this.

The MC is pretty cute and quite kind so far. But also a little mischievous at times.

Spoiler

I like reading the mini stories of his past life. Especially, the one about him being a mimic box.

I look forward to future updates.

A wholesome read.

I like that memories of his previous life is kind of kept away in the Library of Life so we don't get a 1000+ y/o old man acting cute in a body of a kid. Those kinds of novels rub me the wrong way especially if it involves romance (which this doesn't have) , yuck. So we get a still-kind-of-genuine (albeit very mature) kid.

The novel is a very enjoyable popcorn read as it's very wholesome and there's no "id*ot villain" who just happens to block his path... more>> to stardom. It's a wholesome journey without deliberately stepping on others; just him sincerely and wholeheartedly giving it his all. Even with the OP cheat of his previous lives (considering he's the only one in the world with such an experience and ability), he is thoughtful on how to deliver his acting, refers to other people's experiences, and practices. He also keeps his abilities to a minimum, keeping it within the rage where people could accept. While outside acting, the abilities he uses are out of goodwill to keep the good vibes going.

The routines get repetitive though, that's why I consider it a popcorn read. At some point around 300+ chapters I started to read it on and off, pick it up again when I crave some fun and wholesome content. Just one Seo Jun's work at a time. Can't completely put it down cause some scenarios are just really fun. <<less

Very nice reverse isekai showbiz novel.

Can be a bit repetitive with similar arcs, no real antagonist (small or big).

Still a kid where I'm at currently. Can be taken as good or bad since its well fleshed out but I want to get to the more adult roles faster.

Taking a break at 378 because I'm losing interest but planning to pick it up again later.

4/5 very good but not perfect.

It's is great story. Wholesome, sweet and very endearing. Every script has its own story that it's makes me keep waiting for the next chapter.

There is almost no villain or antagonist. Just people being people, some greedy and some annoying, but the story more focus on the good people or mainly the victims of the bad that ML helping indirectly

As mentioned by many reviewers this is an easy going story, but I really like the premise of the stories. Especially the choosing of the scripts. The chosen scripts are mainly very interesting as it’s like having stories inside a story. One of the ones that get me is ‘Survivor’. I cried reading it : (if you like reading piece of life it’s really good and interesting. For example, ‘I became a big star after quitting the entertainment world’. It has similar style and plot.

Would recommend reading if you... more>> like storng and op ML that have great power. I will be coming back to read this once in a while to collect chapters. <<less

would deduct a star for the translation from the first hundred or so chapters. There were a lot of typos and grammatical mistake, but later on I think the translator changed. A lot of tl notes were added to explain things that couldnt be translated directly into english, so I appreciate the translator's effort.

this is a fluffy novel with little to no angst or drama. MC has lived a lot of unfortunate lives, and in this new one, he's finally taking a break from them. Once you learn about his... more>> past lives, you'll start rooting for his success as a superstar. Its a nice change of pace from other novels with compelling plots and intricate mysteries.

i finally came back to this novel after 2 years, and now it also has a manhwa adaptation. I highly recommend both, the novel being detailed while the manhwa has amazing art <<less

10/10 Amazing Read!

An amazing slice-of-life web novel that is being turned into a great manga. I enjoy reading stories that feature the celebrity life style/upbringing which I found in this novel. I cant wait to be able to read more as its being translated.

I really liked this novel!

I gotta tell you, looking at the reviews, I was a bit skeptical going into this, but I found that I couldn't let go of the story and read it all in one go. There was a review that said the MC acted like a child despite having lived thousands of lives, but this is very much explained in the story. MC doesn't want one life to affect the other, so he seals away his memories and only when he is mentally ready, he can choose... more>> to acess them. This way, when he is born again, he truly remembers nothing. Another thing, the only human life he had was his first one, which he makes clear that he rememebrs nothing of, and his memories from back then don't talk about how the world was. So, it regards to how human society works, he is very much like a newborn child.

No development? Only using his cheat skills to go forward? I disagree. We can see him make mistakes and realized that what he thought was right was wrong, case in point: the My Clinic death scene. Also, although his skills help make an impression during acting, he still has to do the work. It's not just the abilities, he's a hella good actor.

Another thing, I love reading about the new movies and dramas, how he makes them magical and real, and the public's reaction. My favourites so far were the Blue Dragon and, of course, Over the Rainbow. Seriously, reading about the children in the play, and realizing how Over the Rainbow was promoted, shot, and went beyond just a movie brought me chills, literally chills.

As you get further, the translation sometimes gets a bit whacky, but if you can endure that, it's a really good read. <<less

first, pardon my english because I can't write it fluently. I just gonna review this novel for the sake of appreciating it :)

I found this novel just as passerby, like "oh maybe, I would read this later when the chapter it's going up a bit" firstly, and when the chapter hit around 20 I start reading this novel.

the prelude of the story it's interesting but it's a bit lacking somehow and can't get me hooked, yet haha

and then I continue to read this novel again after more than 25... more>> chapter added, so it's around 50 and here from what I remember I start to think 'what happen next?' but here the problems start pops out.

the story was good and interesting for sure, but the plot get too repetitive sometimes, and for the translations I know it's more at not good side (because the pov details and the character's name make you confused sometimes).

but I still enjoying the novel till the last chapter I read on the mtl sites, because the novel has it charm's, that's make you get hooked unconciously. From a bunch of wonderful movies story
Spoiler

and the connections between the characters and the role his play looks so nice to see

, the settings is nice as well, the emotional parts, even the little turmoils that brings so little ups and down on this story. And I think this novel is wonderfull for slice of life genre novel.

I just hope the author would write this piece till the ending of the story. And the translations would continue (perhaps with a little bit upgrade on the quality? Hehe).

lastly, Thanks for bringing this wonderfull novel out! It's healing and bring joys on my repetitive daily life :) <<less

Five stars for me⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I searched for this novel because I couldn't get enough from the manwha chapters. It's really good!

This novel is a must read if you like entertainment industry plots like me. Lee Seo-Jun, the MC, has many abilities he acquired from his previous lives that he can use for his acting so his career is smooth sailing. The reincarnation trope and fantasy mixed abilities of Lee Seo-jun is a big plus for me but if you don't like overpowered MCs, it might not be for you.

I really love... more>> the detailed the stories and plots of all the dramas and movies that Jun acted in. The author fleshed out these stories so well, it can be made into independent novels. Not gonna lie, some of it even made me cry.

Highly recommended for readers who wanted a relaxing read! <<less

Definitely enjoyed what I've read so far. The premise is pretty interesting and the abilities the protagonist uses are pretty varied and unique. The only problem I have so far is the quality of the translation isn't the best. Gender pronouns are constantly switched back and forth for the same characters throughout the story. Also, there are a number of broken sentences at certain chapters. Though, it certainly isn't the worst I've seen. Overall, a pretty good story and something I'd definitely recommend reading. Unfortunately the translator has dropped this... more>> story, so it's unfinished. <<less
