Story:9/10

World building 6/10 (Pending since it’s quite early in the story as of now)

Characters 8/10

... more>> Writing 9/10

Honestly didn’t expect much, yet I’m pleasantly surprised to find a hidden gem. The story feels like a mixture of Escaping the Mystery Hotel and The Scp Foundation in the sense that it’s both a story about containing abnormalities and the protagonist doesn’t have any special powers aside from a knowledge ability.

Story isn’t too complex (at least as of now) but it’s quite interesting to read as the author has a clear knack for writing this kind of piece, one of the few stories in general that really nails the mystery horror genre itch for me. Though it should be stated that the situations don’t last all too long (only around 5-8 chapters each.) and have little to no in between time.

Characters have plenty of personality and even some development in a minor sense, but as with only 40 chapters, there isn’t much so say quite yet. Only gripe is that of the main group, only the MC is male, though I suppose that is to be expected of the genre. <<less

This is just a personal bias of a review.

The novel story revolve around SCP, and the MC as a office staff that supposedly quite safe working place found out that most of the people in his branch office got parasitized, from then its a whirlwind of an encounter after encounter after encounter after encounter after....

Well its just one thing after another, at another novel I prefer if things move bit faster rather than stretching word counts, but in this one, I prefer it if the MC at least have a... more>> time to breath and at least some time to gather his thoughts or find information list to prepare himself, but the author decided "NOPE."

Just take it this way, this novel story in game term, was a BOSS rush novel, so everytime MC moves its another encounter, go taking breaks.. encounter, go shopping.. encounter, at some point I suspect he going to toilet to poop and another encounter.

Again, this novel is nice read, good story, fleshed out character (important ones, as extras are just collateral damage), quite well thought imo, but again, give MC some breathing time.

Its a fast paced (very), so ig some readers like those types. <<less

5/5 novel

This novel stands out from the usual generic 'regressor', 'solo leveller', 'labyrinth', and 'isekai fantasy' slop in the novel industry.

The novel draws clear inspiration from the fascinating world of the SCP Foundation. The MC is an HR office employee working for a secret bureau that contains monstrous entities. What makes the MC relatable is that he isn't some action hero. The MC is essentially a normal dude who's always propelled into chaos by his comedically terrible luck. Rather than soloing monsters, he relies on his wit and his co-workers... more>> to survive, which makes his struggles and attempts to navigate the perilous events all the more engaging and, at times, genuinely hilarious.

The array of monsters, strange situations, and diverse locations the MC and his companions encounter are consistently interesting and keep the story fresh.

While the primary cast leans heavily towards heroines, which will undoubtedly appeal to harem fans, this aspect, while present, isn't an overwhelming focus of the plot. This means that even readers who typically shy away from harem elements can still thoroughly enjoy the compelling story, the intriguing world, and the well-developed characters. <<less

This is one of those with very interesting ideas/theme/plot but the execution is lacking. Whether it’s because the translation is horrible or the source, many descriptions/paragraphs make no sense. When you read a chapter and you cannot exactly picture what is happening, it makes the reader confuses. It‘s a shame because I really like SCP related story, especially one that is not too over-technical in the SCP part.
