A middle of the road reincarnation isekai that could have been made as a straight fantasy. The only thing the isekai angle has going for it is the MC's internal dialoged, and making the MC much more well adjusted than he would be given his upbringing. The story focuses on the MC improving his fighting ability, toss in some world building, then putting him in a battel he barely scrapes through after taking major damage. No romance or harems here.

As far as the title promising "a F**ked-Up Fantasy World" it... more>> really isn't. There's nothing approaching anything that would be considered dark fantasy. If you want to know what it refers to

The MC is made to fight in death matches as a kid (6), and then latter is adopted by a noble girl as a dog. IE she calls him puppy, he lives in a nice dog house, she pet his hair and tells him her worries. Dark Fantasy, this is not.

The world has a standard mix of basic monsters (goblins, kobolds, orcs, orgs, trolls, werewolfs). The magic system is internal magic, Aura, that boosts your offensive and defensive fighting abilities to the level where non-magic users could not ever beat you; and external magic, casting fire balls and the like. While not limited to the nobility, a commoners in general wouldn't be able to develop either on their own without training. There are also evil devils and a good divine god (s) ? Both haven't been featured much yet.

The MC is reincarnated as a kid to poor peasant farmers who then sell him off to s*avers when he's ~6. He has no cheat powers. He gets sent to the coliseum where he has to fight monsters. Time goes on, the Champion teaches him about aura and some sword fighting. He causes an incident and gets adopted by a noble girl as a puppy. After fighting off some invaders is properly taught how to use Aura. Time passes and he gets to be on par with the noble girl's personal guards. There is some political intrigue, but the MC isn't directly involved in it, just its fallout. As of Ch36 the MC is 18 and the noble girl is ~13-14. I assume the pic presented of the blond girl in a red dress is the noble girl at 16+.

The characters and story pacing are decent keeping you engaged with wondering what is going to happen next after you get though the first 5 chapters or so. The world building seems well thought out and is added to at a regular rate as well. The only downside is that it doesn't really transcend good to great. Everything is just fine. I think it would have been better if the MC was just a native rather than an isekai reincarnator. If you're looking for anther isekai story, and the general plot sounds interesting to you, then it'll likely be a worthwhile read. <<less

It's hard to describe whats interesting about this without going into spoilers and making assumptions about where the story might be going. This is only a few chapters behind the original language version of the story so anything is possible in the future. I'm not sure if the world is really messed up, or if its the mc's own twisted perception of things. I do like the idea of demons and devils physically living underground and literally digging their way to the surface in order to 'invade' the 'real world'.... more>> With neat ideas like that, I trust the author will take the MC to great places. <<less
