Well, there are only a few chapters translated, but this novel already has my heart. So far, it is quite similar to "Paper Flower" in many ways.

He is a boy who grew up isolated on a mountain. Don't expect much civility or appropriateness from him. As someone who grew up alone and made it his primary goal to not starve to death every day, it's sensible that the author created him so naive.

I hope he can have some development throughout the book (not just because of fear of ML), but if he doesn't it's okay because he's already cute the way he is anyway.

About ML: He is like: 🥶

He's the cold on the outside and cold on the inside type. He looks like an even crueler version of HY. There is not a single drop of compassion in this man.

So far, the only thing he seems to value a lot are his martial arts. Oh, and he, apparently, has a habit of hunting. From what I understand, the interest in the MC came from the premise that the ML treats him as his... prey. To be more specific, like a little mouse. So of course he dragged him home like a captured animal.

At the point I'm reading, I feel like the ML leads a boring life and the MC will bring some kind of "entertainment" that will make the love between them blossom or something. I'll have to keep reading to see what happens.

I honestly learned a lot in this novel. It is such a good read and has its own way of showing realism. Some novels often misuse and overuse the word "cruel" and "ruthless" traits of a character, but this truly shows that a cruel person would always be the same. And I really learned a lot from determining whether I truly love someone or is it just attachment that makes me unable to let go of a person. It is a very good read!

Oh my, it was soooo gooood!!! It definitely deserves the 'mature' tag—it's cruel, violent, and harsh. Despite being a fantasy, it's incredibly realistic. This is not a fluff story, but it's very entertaining and a real page-turner. The male lead isn't your typical hero; there are valid reasons why many readers might end up hating him. He's a major red flag (though not so much in how he treats the main character). However, he's brutally honest with himself, and I respected that a lot.

I can understand why some people might not like this story, but it is worth giving it a try. It is a hidden gem among so many typical, lookalike, and boring stories.

I’m writing this immediately after finishing the main story, and the afterglow is intense. I loved the novel, it made me feel things.

It was quite a read. The story is good, but unsettling. I was captivated and a bit scared by the intensity it brought.

ML is psychopath, that’s for sure. He eventually made good choices, but the road was filled with violence and ab*se that MC had to endure.

Beautiful TL! This.. Was a pretty good story. Im surprised it was underrated when I found it, good reviews but also few. The story was structured and I love how the characters are written. They feel complex and the suspense was also there. I personally really like this book, the plot was interesting enough for me to try and continue but the writting is also really simple in the nicest way. It was quite a read. While for the most part as the title says it was a sweet there is some well built angst in later chapters. It got to the point I thought I accidentally picked up a tragedy! Thankfully it was not lol

Also despite being present smut scenes are few and minimal which I liked about it but others might feel otherwise. They also didn't get in the way of the plot and were mostly used to progress it which is very nice.

The main supernatural feature was the existence of humans that have Horns and one side character that was a shaman.

Overall this was a great read I binged it hard. I definitely recommend it.

I will mention as well there are a few "chapters" that are only a paragraph or 2 but the translator later explains they are just interludes between the actual books. <<less

The book was honestly pretty good and I enjoyed it up to something like 15 chapters near the end, when the MC finds out he's been tricked by those he thought were going to help him escape. Suddenly I couldn't take his naivety any f*cking more.

Also I hate how the MC never really got any character development. He was just foolish from start to end and not in a good way. I had some hopes that after the accident he would wake up but no. The novel synopsis clearly states that these two are held back by their families but I never felt it was the case in the MCs life. All he could think about was his "young master" and not the his numerous kin that the ML killed.

Finally I hate that that ML was never remorseful for what he did. It was just plain wrong and he didn't actually have a good enough reason honestly.

The book was enjoyable despite the faults because I found them near the end. <<less

The MC is simply to die for. Watching him basically grow up/mature/learn the ways of the world (good & bad) was so enduring. And he was genuinely so funny and cute!

I really love the ML’s transition/development and his awareness. I really enjoyed how he lets the MC grow and learn while basically taking a back seat, especially in the extras.

Well, this story is really underrated. I haven’t been reading novels for a while, and this was the one I picked as the first. About the writing style, I think its so easy to read and the translation was really good, it was a long novel but I read it in just 2 days, because of both the translation and the plot. It's a pretty bittersweet story about two completely different individuals coming together bearing burdens of their parents. Read the tags carefully and if you like the idea of yander ML x naive MC, try it. Both the writing and the translations are definitely worth it.
