- A big one that happens almost immediately, but he's s*upid enough to give away crucial details about his past by mere accident. There exists a special kind of paper, that responds to your Karma and changes color appropriately, AS WELL AS LETTING YOU VIEW THE MEMORIES OF WHOEVER TOUCHED IT (never mind why such absurd paper is even allowed to be distributed considering what you can do with it). Now, you'd think that such paper should come in sealed bags or something, but no, our genius MC hands them over by hand to someone who is suspicious of him. What happens? Well, that person gets a front row seat to the backstory that our MC is trying to keep buried in the past. It's so incredibly contrived.
- It's literally in the Academy rules to not mess with the shop, but everyone does it anyway, so it's clear that our shopkeep doesn't have any real authority until he decides he's had enough at the end of each mini arc and slaps some people. Textbook humble doormat.
- The student council is allowed to put up his shop property rights for grabs as part of a contest, despite them having absolutely no authority to do so. Maybe if our MC commanded any respect, this wouldn't happen. He has to go crawling to the Headmaster (who also apparently doesn't command any respect) to fix everything for him. Hey, tournament arc time!
- The Princess is also a dumbass. Despite knowing his true identity, she does the tournament arc sh*t anyway.
Find something better to read, this relies on everyone being really f*cking s*upid to move the plot along.
