On their wedding night, Lin Yulan coldly threw those words at Jiang Xue, turned around, slammed the door, and left. Jiang Xue was left alone in the bridal suite, waiting in silence.
As the future heir of the Lin family, Lin Yulan had loved someone else for years. She never expected that she would be forced to marry Jiang Xue, an omega she didn’t even like.
Lin Yulan was convinced that Jiang Xue had used some underhanded method to win over her parents. In her mind, only trickery could explain why they insisted on Jiang Xue, so she blamed her entirely.
The next morning, Lin Yulan wasted no time. She placed a marriage agreement in front of Jiang Xue.
“Sign it.”
It was an unfair contract. One clause, in particular, was cruel: they were not allowed to tell anyone about their marriage. Jiang Xue knew Lin Yulan was trying to humiliate her, but she stayed calm, read the entire agreement, and then asked quietly,
“Lin Yulan, are you sure about this?”
Lin Yulan snorted, her voice cold.
“Are you asking just for the sake of asking, Miss Jiang?”
In her heart, Lin Yulan had already decided. Even if every omega in the world disappeared, she would never fall in love with Jiang Xue.
But something began to change.
As they spent more time together, Lin Yulan started to feel something she never expected. Jiang Xue was gentle, thoughtful, and beautiful. She had admirers everywhere. The love letters she received could fill every tr*sh can on campus. She was the most adored university professor.
At a class reunion, Lin Yulan saw another alpha openly confessing to Jiang Xue. Her heart burned with jealousy. She wanted to smash a bottle over his head, but the marriage contract flashed through her mind, and she held herself back.
That night, drunk and upset, Lin Yulan made sure to leave marks on Jiang Xue’s skin where others could see them.
Jiang Xue felt wronged and angry.
“You promised you would never touch me, Lin Yulan.”
Lin Yulan looked at her without guilt.
“Did I? I don’t remember saying that.”
Jiang Xue was speechless. This woman was shameless.
After that, Lin Yulan started to push the limits of their agreement. She often left traces of affection on Jiang Xue’s body, bold and visible.
On Jiang Xue’s first day back at the university, a student asked,
“Professor Jiang, what happened to your neck?”
“A mosquito bit me,” she replied.
The next day, someone else asked,
“Professor Jiang, why is your ankle red?”
“A dog bit me. I’m going to get a rabies shot,” she said calmly.
After several more incidents, everyone at the school came to the same conclusion. Jiang Xue was clearly married, and the intimate marks on her body were left by her spouse.
