Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.Since magicians disappeared like fleeting meteors, not only has there been an emergence of many people with strange illnesses around the world’s corners, but a group of banshees has also appeared.
It is said that the deity granted the banshees beauty and astonishing artistic creativity, and they must draw nourishment from passion and love to maintain it all.
Those loved by the banshees are akin to the lucky ones blessed by the gaze of the goddess Aphrodite, and they are called “The Banshee’s Sage.”
But as everyone knows, the goddess is unfaithful to her husband, and the banshees are just as amorous.
—
“Keep your distance from sexy and beautiful women, especially don’t fall in love with a banshee.”
Yvonne remembered her mentor’s words while on the way to her post in Yordshire, where she encountered a girl as pure and gentle as a unicorn.
She thought her heart was buried along with that girl in the coniferous forest filled with pale gray mist, but in Yordshire, Yvonne met a beautiful woman surrounded by suitors.
The Inspector by her side introduced, “That’s the Countess of Tanniston. Her latest painting, ‘Love Dedicated to the Unicorn,’ reportedly sold for an astronomical price at the Dunbridge Mountain exhibition. Truly, a talented beauty!”
Yvonne looked at that familiar face, clenching her back teeth.
Love is just that irrational; even when you know you’ve been deceived and understand the danger, you can’t help but care and draw closer.
After finishing the first day of work, Yvonne left an apartment building with the inspectors and saw the Countess’s car drive by with a handsome man.
That night, she walked three miles, panting, to the Countess’s manor, and she stayed the whole night.
Later, Yvonne closed the suitcase, “Madam, I am just a magical consultant hired by the police department — for six months now — and I’m certain your current illness isn’t caused by magic. Please seek a doctor’s help.”
“Is that so,” the Countess lifted her hand to hook her waist chain, her tone ambiguous: “Do you still want to stay tonight?”
This was the first time Yvonne refused her.
After that…
“Yvonne, you love me, why don’t you admit it?”
“Yes, a banshee is indeed born passionate… but darling, you know, the Sage who holds her entire heart has always been just one.”
