Kirishima Rei, a self-proclaimed introverted loner who failed to debut in high school, inadvertently helps Mikami Hina, a top-tier beauty known as a “flower on a high peak.” Grateful for the assistance, Hina expresses her desire to thank Rei, and unable to refuse, Rei accepts her gratitude.

However, they both assume that this chance encounter would be fleeting—once the thanks are given, they would return to being strangers… or so they thought.

To Rei’s surprise, Hina grows attached to him, actively intruding upon his solitary life. As they spend more time together—during lunch break meetings, after school, in the mornings, and on weekends—Hina relentlessly invades Rei’s daily routine.

In a scenario where a loner and a high-class beauty would normally never intersect, the story of these two begins to unfold.

Have you ever thought, "Man, would I love to read Otonari no Tenshi-sama, Class de 2-Banme and Makeine (only without the harem and losing heroine stuff) all at once"?

Well, do I have a deal for you.

It's not that this is particularly derivative of other works. It has its own rhythm and a good reason for the things it does. But you will definitely feel echoes of other works.

That said, I'm impressed with this slow-burn romance for one quite unusual reason: it is *knowingly* slow-burn.

Spoiler

Beyond the early stages of drawing closer to the FL, during which our boy puts on his best Nukumizu Kazuhiko impression, there's no point at which he's unaware of the FL's intentions toward him, even if he's uncertain just why. This being his first -- and, if either has any say in things, his only -- love, he wants to savor every step for as long as he can. No matter how much his girl wants to speed things up. And there's even a really good explanation offered for why. Nevertheless, once he's ready to take action, he doesn't hesitate. It's a very different sort of lead for this sort of story and I'm all here for it.

You know what? Like the other reviewer said, it has some mix of other works but executed well, it got the cohabitation, a pushy fMC and it is what it is MC.

Spoiler why MC act like that:

Spoiler

He enjoys her company, she, who loves to speed up things and kinda pushy and have her intention to him really bare, he knows all of it, but due to them both first time, they sometimes fumble but MC is like, maybe not so bad. I got really shock that there is the first time tag lol, didnt expect that

if you want to grin, die from diabetes, and let the reality of being single be upon you, just read this one, it is slow burn type but also satisfying. Its like, theyre definitely dating but its not!

About MC

Spoiler

As we are on the MC pov all the time (sometimes not) We can dive deeper into his monologue and based on what I read, he is not all too saint, but is gentleman. He doesnt want to force her and be rough on her. He is good at controlling his self lol and he knows or he's aware of fMC feeling but because its his first time feeling that, he process it slowly and surely, making sure that they are both ready.

About FMC:

Spoiler

A PUSHY AND AGGRESSIVE gurl, basically LOL, she even manipulate his perception of reality like

"If I said I dont have umbrella, I dont have." just so she can get on his umbrella lol. Well that's her strong points tho, not to manipulative, just a clingy and pushy gf who will be loyal to you. Also she invades every parts of him, from his house, to his clothes, even his body and soul LOL.

Overall, 4.99/5. Tsukkomi is great, MC and FMC interactions are so natural and wholesome, there's no unnecessary drama, just your average rom-com. <<less

This is painful. The MC is a two dimensional loner emo wallowing in utter self-pity. He lacks any shades of subtlety, he is just "I am a loner, I don't want to talk to any other human being, I don't understand these human emotions" He is too obtuse to be a real human being, it is like the author is immature and lacks the skill to tell a nuanced story, they are hammering the fact that this guy is a loner at every last opportunity. The fact that he denies... more>> and denounces every last attempt at engagement is just inhumanly s*upid. More ridiculous still is how and why the FMC has any kind of interest in him, especially with his determination to spurn her, there is simply no reason why she would maintain her pursuit of this dour unfriendly emo.

This is nothing more than some cathartic wish fulfilment fantasy by a writer that inhabits the roll of the MC, but wishes to really strain the bounds of reality by engaging in the most unrealistic self-pity trip know to mankind. <<less
