Shimizu Sota is a second-year high school student who has become popular and well-liked by everyone since entering high school.

By chance, Sota falls in love with his classmate, Fuzuki Aoi. Aoi is quiet and shy, nicknamed the “library witch” by their classmates and often avoided by others—she’s the opposite of Sota.

Wanting to get closer to Aoi, Sota starts reading books, something he previously hated, and actively tries to engage her in conversation.

At first, Aoi is guarded and cold, but through their conversations about books, she gradually opens up to Sota.
