Bai Yao became the vicious supporting female character in various horror worlds, a character who possessed beauty but was filled with the stench of money. After the system threw the word “conquer” at her, it lost contact due to poor signal. She had read so many novels and was quite familiar with the trope—wasn’t it just asking her to conquer men with tragic experiences? Whenever she saw someone for the first time, she could sense a dark red glow around them, and she guessed that they must be her target for conquest. So—

In a haunted boarding school, she picked up a pure-hearted boy who was bullied. She tutored him, gave him flowers, and they secretly embraced each other in the art room where someone had died.

In an abandoned hospital where six people were trying to escape, she saved…

s*um girl and villain sweet romance. First arc is school horror world and I very impressed with Bai Yao mind that strongly believe in science, just my respect, seriously. Every word that her boyfriend say she interpreting only according to science world, and so it all turned by her into sweet nothings. So romance is very sweet~

Waiting for more chapters, also quite interesting in what her real missions? As s*um girl she interpreted it into romance, but who knows what that glitching system meant.

MC is a typical villainess ojou-sama while ML is... someone who's obsessed with sweets & strawberry. Yes, his personality is exactly like someone who loves sweets and strawberries. In every single worlds.

One little thing, I think the author has beefs with cold domineering MLs and naive cute FLs.

Spoiler

They will show up in most worlds as the "original" ML & FL, and every time they either die or have terrible endings. Even if sometimes they aren't evil, and just clashed a little with our MC.

The ori-FL is usually the "overly pure, cute, & innocent" type. It's no surprise she doesn't like MC who's an "arrogant rich girl" and have different life views

And because of that, the ori-ML who's only warm to her & cold to everyone else will also dislike MC

You can say this is a horror game and everyone have a chance to die. But it's the author I tell you! The author just hates them

[collapse]

Meanwhile our ML, most of the worlds, he either isn't a human or isn't raised as one. So he doesn't have human moral value. His childlike cruelty is like a little kid happily mutilating a spider.

Anyway MC will unconditionally love him every time... I guess she's not "normal" too. They're really a match made in heaven.

And sometimes I honestly hoped this is a smut novel. Him being a monster with monster anatomy is such a tease. They have a good s*x life but it's not shown explicitly T^T <<less

A sweet dog food novel that makes you want to turn your brain off & just laugh at the two idiots who are so in love with each other.

MC has pretty grey morals & a dense af filter for her boyfriend/husband in every world. So no matter which background characters (or og ML/FL) are screaming, crying, pissing, throwing up, & dying around her, she usually just brushes it off.

Spoiler

She does have a bottom line though - hurting her parents & the goal to eliminate all of humanity. Because of that, the arc with ML being an evil AI has a bad ending. But he gets a second chance two arcs later.

[collapse]

Her ML is usually slightly very insane & definitely evil, but also childlike in how little he understands good & evil, pain not being the norm, kindness, warmth, etc. So he has no defenses against MC's outpouring of love & becomes a love-brain with her very quickly.

It's refreshing how the author doesn't spend thousands of words describing how beautiful the ML is, because unlike the typical CN novel cliches, he's usually very normal looking when pretending to be human. By comparison, MC is a narcissistic beauty, to the point people question what MC sees in him. But I think it's endearing in a way that she doesn't care what he looks like even if she does love beauty. (He's also more of a jerk in the arcs when he is good-looking so tbh I prefer the arcs where he's plain.)

5/5 Reading material to satisfy a dog food craving. <<less

It’s not bad, but it’s not good either. The characters are a bit one-dimensional, and I don’t find much depth in the female MC nor the ML.

In the 1st arc, the romance is a bit abrupt, and the horror theme isn’t really explored well, mostly the author just uses gore and clichè horror elements from popular horror movies to make do.

The female MC has a bit of a love brain, she spoils the ML a lot and doesn’t question any of his evil actions. The ML’s world also revolves around... more>> the female MC, and they basically did not care about the people around them. Reading this, it is somewhat similar to two main characters in a play reading a silly sweet script of a cotton candy romance, except the love words are a bit weird.

Spoiler

ML: “I ate your heart, and I feel that you love me so much! Now you can never leave me or else you will die.” FMC: “Aww, you’re so cute. Okay, let me reward you by letting you “eat” me on the bed.”

[collapse]

The other supporting characters on the play only have a few standard lines and are more like the background music, even if they disappeared altogether, nobody would notice. They’re being ripped apart, crushed, beheaded in all kinds of comic ways that you just raise an eyebrow and just move on, while they become lesser and lesser. Even if half of the supporting characters disappear, it’s just brushed off.

Spoiler

Literally. ML just basically kills or mu*ders anyone not pleasing to the eye. I feel like in every chapter, FMC’s deskmate will report that half of the people at school disappeared, and there will be OBVIOUS rumors that they’re killed, but FMC has no eyes for this as all her attention is on her boyfriend. It’s already a great reaction with her if she responds to this surprising report by saying “Oh.” After all, she’s the girl who saw the ML eating a carcass with blood and gore all over him, wiping it off with gently, and then kissing him while they exchange I love yous.

[collapse]

It’s cute, but the story and the characters feel flat. If you want to read this for the horror, then it’s extremely subpar. If you want to read this for the romance, I don’t think it will satisfy you either. In fact, I could summarize the interaction of FMC and ML in the first arc by only a few sentences.

Spoiler

ML: Does something heinously evil, killing people in terrible ways that they don’t even deserve to be killed. Gets found out by FMC, sobs softly and goes “Yaoyao, I love you so much!” FMC: Aww, he is so cute, uwu. I won’t forgive you, humph!” Then basically spoils him, and the two of them get immersed in their world full of hearts while ML either directly or indirectly kills people around them.

What I really love about the MC is her atheist belief of there's no supernatural and so is very confident and not affected by the ghosts. However, the ending ruined it a bit by showing that even if she knows there's ghost she's still unfazed and treat them like regular being even when they killed lots of people.

As the previous commentor said, "MC has pretty grey morals & a dense af filter for her boyfriend/husband in every world".

The first world was fun to read but didn't really like the end... more>> especially the part when MC gave up her identity to be with ML.

I'm still undecided if I want to read further as I feel like my brain cells will rot more if I go further. <<less
