3/13/24 Edit: I'm actually coming back and updating my review for once! An average novel in many ways, but at the same time it's refreshing because it subverts a lot of CN BL tropes that I find annoying. The original protagonist of the book isn't secretly bad all along, and he and the MC are friends. MC isn't going out of his way to avoid the plot or plot-significant characters. MC was a film student in his past life but wasn't a Film Emperor or anything, so his acting skills... more>> are good but not outstanding. The MC agrees to get married because hey! ML is attractive and has money, I have no reason to refuse. And then, because they are attracted to each other, they actually get down on their wedding night. Excuses like "oh it isn't a real marriage" or "oh he doesn't actually like me" or "I don't want to pressure him or damage his innocence blah blah" to lengthen a plot are fine sometimes, but it's often forced or s*upid. The MC and ML avoid that nonsense.

There is a little bit of the "does he or does he not like me???" because while their married life is "harmonious" you might say, the MC doesn't know how shallow or deep ML's feelings run. Aside from MC getting a little anxious, it's mostly negligible. Whenever the MC starts thinking, "How can I make him fall in love with me???" the MC and ML go right back to boning and doting on each other. If the story was more comedic I would have assumed that it was a parody of the "oblivious to love" trope. It's just a cute story about the MC's relationship and his career progress. There's a little bit of drama but no dogblood or absurd love triangles. Bonus - original protagonist isn't a villain and he and the MC remain friends! Not perfect but a simple story that you'll enjoy if you already like the genre. 4/5 <<less

Perhaps the reason why this book scored so low on the rating is because it is truly a fluff and no brainier novel. It's really just everything going well for everyone. There's barely any drama. Everything is solved in a chapter or falling in love within 10 chapters.

This book is good for those who want to take a break from their other novels and just wanted a decent fluff read without any dramas.

Well I can’t really stomach anymore.

Honestly I was in the mood for a brainless fluff novel and this delivered! Too much.

You know those novels which mock the brainless fluff MCs and ‘doting’ ML CEOs? Yeah this one fits to a T.

The low score isn’t for that though, it’s because of the inconsistency, bad pacing and fumbling with some good plot points that end up being nothing. Fluff is fun and I don’t believe couples need to ‘fight’ to be ‘realistic’. Being able to handle disagreements is part of maturity but... more>> each conclusion in this one was boring.

It sucks because MC actually has some good points and a potentially interesting setting. But his constant thought process of:

”ah! Ah! Cute!”

”ah! Ah! So handsome!”

”ah! Ah! I’m melting~”

He sounds amazingly brain dead and goes from a sunny character trying his best to a single brain cell caricature of a shou character. I like him trying to woo ML. I like him trying to work hard on his career and manage problems. But all of that is circumvented by him never seeming to have any deep thought process and becomes more and more s*upid as the story progresses. <<less

Pure fluff. Aside from some minor conflicts which were resolved within 1 chapter, everything is just the MC and ML flirting with each other.

In my opinion, this could have ended with less chapters since there's not much happening in the story except the main couple being tooth-rottingly sweet.

Overall, it was a good novel, but after a while, it became monotonous.

The MC eventually became annoying with his repetitiveness of speech and actions. I know the novel is meant to show their daily lives, but it seems like the MC has devolved from an adult to a petulant child. There's nothing wrong with acting cute with your partner, but he did it excessively.

This novel, being over 100 chapters, was unnecessary; it was entirely too wordy. It would've been better if they had ended this around chapter 70 or so.

As of now, only 21 chapters are out. This novel is not bad, but I will have to drop due to it being somewhat boring and fast paced in all the wrong places. I, personally, wanted to see more of MC and ML interacting before they suddenly get married and have s*x.

Nonetheless, the leads are tolerable (quite bland and stereotypical, but easy to digest as paper characters) and the translation is quite good.

3.7 yep but I give it 4.0 for take it up to 3.8, although it not fail this novel to rate it as 3.7, bcs as someone said.. It's too long for just fluff :) yep no plot just fluff, flirt, daily, pamper to the dna, sometimes I feel a bit cringe by mc's way of speaking. Well, this novel indeed not for brain consumption but for healing our black and sad heart, recommended for u after read agst or BE story

Its so fluff and sweet. I can't continue, too much sugar.

The only disadvantage for me is that it almost have no long conflict. It always gets resolved immediately. No tension.

At the beginning because I'm reading it at 3 am, I thought about like: When will they meet? Hurry up.

They literally married, fell in love & do the things that most bl novels will do when almost at the end of the novels xD, IN JUST A FEW SHORT CHAPTER LATER 🤣

Point is they're fast paced, less complicated plot, but I like it that way tbh, it's very fluffy and full of dog food, I'd say it's not bad, 4 stars from me.

It's too cloying. These are vanilla dreams of a perfect husband. The plot is only at the beginning, then just sugar. One thing I don't understand is why write this in the yaoi genre. Since the main character is perceived as a girl. I occasionally forgot which genre I was reading. I barely lived to see chapter 77, I can't go any further. You can read after heavy works, just relax.

This is an overall review

No suspense, Not much drama.

This story is like reading Gu and Qiao minutes interaction of their story. Like its repetitive cycle. So if you want to read a story that nothing but sweetness and cheesiness with each other this might be your cup of tea.

ML is mister Gu who is the mummy man at the hospital at the start of the novel.

The whole novel is fluffy. There's nothing in particular that is dark or distressing. The MC becomes really baby like once in love always being fed or sitting on the MLs lap or being carried instead of walking himself. It's cute and fluffy but can get a bit overwhelming.

The ML dotes almost too much no actually way too much on the MC lol the wedding in the last extra is just the accumulation... more>> of it. I don't even dream of a wedding like that as an unmarried girl.

Although most of the novel is unrealistic it's fluffy, an easy read, and super cute. The baby zai zai is cute too (when he gets screentime sheesh don't always leave him at hone with the nanny!)

Acting isn't that big of a theme in this novel but it's still a fair amount with 1 movie being shot in slightly more detail. The most emotional scene is described but the storyline of the whole movie isn't really given? The ML once goes on a reality tv show with the MC. It's about traveling on a budget.

The MC becomes best friends with the novel's original protagonist (it's not one of those enemy or scheming transmigration novels). And both the MC and the original protagonist become pregnant the MC isn't stealing anything from the protagonist.

This novel makes me hungry... damn I want to eat a small cake everyday without getting fat too😭

Annoying female characters like the rich ladies don't even show up much except for:

Mr Yan's daughter. She's around for a few chapters but not in close proximity to the MC and ML. She however schemes and bribes someone to cut up MCs face (while MC is pregnant she doesn't know that tho). In the end she goes to prison for mu*der. Mr Yan is also a horrible person which is why his daughter turned out that way. He encouraged hus daughter to go after the ML while knowing that he is married. Mr. Yan hires a muscular man to sexually harass the MC (touched the butt) but then ML nearly made his arms unusable. Then internet trolls were hired to make ML look bad for harassing people just because he's rich but it all got sorted out with the original video from the reality tv show.

The MC doesn't realize he's pregnant for a long time. I think he was already 3 months pregnant by then. Lol the MLs reaction was so cute.

The MLs nephew doesn't show up in the rest of the novel there is no bad situation waiting. It's honestly just a cute read without too much drama.

Overall a fluffy novel worth the read when you are in need of some fluff. But it gets a bit tiring after like 70 chapters. <<less

It's first marriage then love troop. They did fall in love pretty fast but didn't felt like hasty. MC and ML did have good feeling for each other before marriage. I love the ML Dual personality with MC and others. MC have a fun and confident personality. What I like about this story is it doesn't have any third party between them, no unnecessary crush towards MC or ml, no ex fiance, white moonlight, and toxic family. No major villain, cannon fodder, have some small cannon fodder but solved pretty... more>> fast. There was no avoidance regarding feelings. It's nice modern slice of life.

And last but not the least cute cub. Happy family.

MC don't focus much on acting like other story MC. His first priority is his family. He is a proper salted fish which is okay. Don't have much ambition but have rich husband so can't say more.

I liked the story and had nice pace. It's cute and sweet story. <<less

was a great palate cleanser or a good novel to get back into the rhythm of reading.

I loved how the MC was proactive and we could also see how the ML changed over time due to the mc's influence. It's a somewhat short and sweet story. I say somewhat short jut truth be told, I found it short bcs I wanted/expected there to be more chapters on their child but it didn't. :') I did start to speed read towards the end bcs it started to be repetitive where MC... more>> would act like a 'child' and try to pout/coax the ML and the ML giving in. the friendship between the ogMC and MC is something I thoroughly enjoyed. I loved it. Being about to see friends support friends is nice. :') might be due to me not having read enough but I find the ML and MC refreshing. In a sense that, the ML has some 'bad' traits or rather isn't like omnipotent besides his wealth and for the MC, how he's the one chasing the ml. It's a nice change of pace ngl. the acting/entertainment part didn't take up much of the novel at all, it's was more touch and go. It had plot points that had to be carried out by introducing the acting plot, like characters etc. I think the rating is justified. I wouldn't rate it a 3 nor a 4 more of a 3.5 so I'm not rating it. Super mushy, very sugary. Every MC & ML interactions is just so sweet that it's giving me cavities. I won't say the story is super good, but it's definitely a super fluffy story. MC & ML is very 'harmonious' from practically day one. I also appreciate MC's sunshine personality; he would be depressed for a bit, then picked up himself really fast. ML is a green flag ML that dotes on MC very much. OG!MC is also very cute; he's MC's best friend & MC & ML biggest shipper. While... more>> MC is OG!MC & OG!ML biggest shipper. The story is light-hearted and not to be taken seriously. <<less

This novel is mainly about the daily life between the MC and ML with a ton of dog food. The MC is super sweet and is a very positive person. He’s exceptionally clingy to the ML about everything and the ML dotes on him with everything spoiling him silly. The plot for his career is secondary it’s more like a slice of life novel. If you’re looking for an angst free novel with dog food overload this is it. Entertaining and sweet.
