It was really good until the translator changed. Now it's unreadable, the two different versions by both babel and kuhaku are pretty bad... I'd normally keep trying in the hopes that it gets better but I skipped quite a few chapters to check and they are the same, like it was translated by a computer and all the subtle meanings were mashed up together. One name really annoyed me, it kept changing in weird ways on babel... Mystic Mo Che, Huan Moche, Illusory Mecha, Illusory Devil Che (at least I'm... more>> guessing it was the same guy, it was really hard to tell). That was just one small thing that was wrong, there was also people who fell asleep but who could still look around and stuff like that, unreadable. T_T

Kuhaku's is a little better, the words spoken by the characters were easy to understand but any descriptive words seemed a bit all over the place, for example - 'Bai Shaolin squirted a sigh of relief from the nose'-, how does one squirt a sigh? haha. plus sometimes it's 'I went away' and other times 'Crown Prince/Prince Edward went away'. The prospective kept changing and why on earth is he/she prince Edward now?!

I'm sure the translator is trying really hard but, I personally just can't read it anymore..

I'm really gutted because I was enjoying it so much before it was dropped by the original translator. T_T

Here's hoping in the future someone picks it up and translates it properly, so I'll keep it in my reading list. <<less

I love the MC. She reminds me of the MC from Genius Doctor: Black Belly Miss, they have similar personalities, calm, aloof, calculating, but what differs between them is their ambitions.... and their perspective to fluffy animals.

The MLs are quite cute with their interactions with the MC, there is the usual gender delema since the MC is posing as a male but each one has a different character. They all are, admittedly, powerful/influential/black-bellied but each has a feel of their own story. It’s hard to explain but I guess it’s somehing like they each have the potential to be a protagonist in their own stories?

The plot’s development is gradual, not too slow or fast, and the ‘calm before the storm’ tone of the story is carried throughout the plot, slowly building until the storm arrives. Not the best analogy but, well...I have no other.

My only complaint is...

that the MC’s romance halo is too strong. If the MC of this story had been another person, like if there was the current MC and another heroine or hero, then the current MC (Shang Wu Xin) would probably be a villain or cannon fodder with some sort of treasure meant to attract guys (which is actually a plot from another novel I read... it’s a BL/Danmei /Yaoi one which I love because the uke MC is actually strong... ahem. Anyway.) . Each ML were drawn to the MC at first meeting, there is quite a big leap in their feelings after every time they interacted. This is another point which highlights the difference between this novel and GDBBM, the former is clearly a reverse harem story, the later a single ML story. It’s not necessarily bad, just unoriginal. It gave a reason for the ML and MC to interact but not the most original reason.

Unique novel with cool female lead. She was strong and cool. Her only goal was get loyal men and throne. Story is awesome. It's is reverse harem where female lead end up with five guys.

I am fan of this novel. I am into reverse harem. This was true harem where MC end up all guys. Great plot well translated. Worth to read. I recommend you to read this unique novel.

Well this novel is one of my favorite. I adored this kind of novel. Best Reversed Harem with strong cool MC and loyal male leads who love MC much. This novel has also caring father who care for her. This MC was one of my favorite character she was cool. I love her personalty.

Awesome novel I like everything about this novel. Worth for five stars or ten stars. I hope for more chapters

This novel has many things that set it apart from other similar novels. It is a pseudo-gender bender where a woman instead of a man contends for the imperial throne. Not only is this unique in that the MC is a female but it also incorporates imperial schemes and struggles. However, while this novel is fresh with respect to the premise, it does not do it justice.

A major downfall of the novel is that the MC is miss perfect. She is naturally endowed a heavenly appearance and status. As of Chapter 36, there has not been a significant moment in which the MC struggles. In fact, she is given plenty of resources that are handed to her without her requesting for it. While this is only natural considering her identity, it does not bode well for the niche this novel is set in; a female fighting for the throne instead of a male. It is because a novel that does not have significant struggles in it does not do well. Obstacles she faces are solved so easily that it becomes repetitive because it fails to break our expectations of how she will overcome it and what will happen next. Things are so predictable that we lose interest. Furthermore, the males close to her are all described as handsome and smart which only adds to the predictability of the novel.

This is in essence a woman's perfect dream or rom-com. The males all gravitate and cater to the woman's desires and the woman is seen as perfect. The journey the woman goes through is a perfect one. The end is a perfect one. Though initially a novel about a woman doing something historically reserved only to men, it devolves into disconnected near-utopia where there is no build up to a satisfying climax.

I might be seen as extremely harsh, but I do not believe this novel deserves the current ranking of 4.6. Furthermore, some may criticize that I haven't given the novel a chance as I have only read up to chapter 36. My defense here is that this novel is only 354 chapters long meaning that I have read up to roughly a tenth of the chapters. Also, the introduction was average at best as even when the story developed there was no sense of tension ever. The novel for me failed to capture my attention. Finally, the translation is questionable at best after chapter 31, which further diminishes my desire to continue. The only reason I haven't given this novel a poorer rating is that the poor translations negatively impacted my perception of the novel and so to compensate gave it one more star.

This novel in particular strikes me as one of those mass-released Chinese rom-coms where the script, to put it simply in Cantonese, is bai zhe, if you know what I mean. The interactions are similarly all shallow, cliché, and have no build up prior to the event. <<less

I usually love stories that have a reverse harem in them but this one just didn't sit well with me: SERIOUSLY every male lead that has met her up until now (3 of the 5) if they didn't fall for her the first time they met, they did the second time ! I mean considering her position as the crown prince I would expect them to feel a sense of loyalty or interest for her but NO they don't even consider that and jump into thinking that they love her.... more>> And they start only thinking about her and doing anything just to get her to look at them and that applies for all of them ARGH! Come on! There needs to be a bit more interaction between them or something that makes them fall so hard for her! (Ok we can sort of say that the 1st ML she meets kinda has a reason since

Plus they are of course the best of the best who up until now had no interest in any romantic relationship BUT suddenly they are all hit by some kind of lightening.

And don't even get me started about everyone else that has to overpraise her for every little thing she does or for just being there. I mean we all know that she is the MC so there is no need to oversell her.

This is just not my cup of tea T_T I am dropping this, it's such a shame because the plot is great only if I didn't have to skip a whole paragraph every time they start praising her for doing nothing and if the way the MLs fell for her was a bit more moderate and with meaning this would have been a great story T_T

Giving it 3 stars because of the nice plot and the strong character of the MC since I wish some other novels had FLs with such a character. <<less

This is one of my favorite novel. I like MC she is strong and ruthless. I like how Mel's protected MC and love MC very much. This novel is very good that hooked you up. I adored this very unique novel.

good story. I wanted more chapters but translator are so slowly. I strongly recommend you guys to read this very good novel

One of true harem where MC end up with all of them. I like this kind of novel. MC is cold strong. She is one of cool badass MC. I like all male leads they are loyal and love MC.

So when she transmigrated into a gender-bender prince in ancient times, her memories from the past still carried with her. So the question is... is she genuinely reborn?

The reason why I started off with such a bomb is because that trauma is the undertone of the whole book. Why does she push the ML's, why she is so bitter, and why does she just hate the world around her and hope everyone dies? She truly doesn't care and acts as if she's the only one who has been through trauma. It became frustrating that the MLs would try to get intimate with her but she would just cut them off ruthlessly.

Now I'm not going to go into detail on how that is right or how it's wrong. But as a reader, I'm tired. She doesn't even try to heal from her past, she just has the mindset that "anyone who gets in my path will die." You have s*x with one of the MLs with consent, get mad at him, and treat him as if he r*ped you. Same with the other ML, you have s*x with him and treat him coldly. Why is everyone on the FL d*ck? It's because of her beauty, that's all. They were attracted to her beauty because her personality is f*cking ass.

My last straw is after

she had s*x with one of the MLs she ran into the first ML that knew her secret, and In the middle of being lovely dovely, she straight up told the dude in his face "I had s*x with ____" Then wrapped her hand around his throat to start choking him, started to get mad at him and asked, "You don't like it..." b*tch! She gets on my f*cking nerves omfg. Shut the f*ck up. This FL is covered in plot armor because, for some goddamn reason, the world revolves around her. She truly doesn't give a f*ck about these men.

I can't believe I kept reading this book and even started to MTL, this sh*t is wack.

I am hooked up at few chapters. I like this story. Interested story where MC transmigration body of cross dressing crown Prince who was girl. Male leads are loyal and love MC. I love how badass and ruthless MC is. I wanted more chapters but translator are so slowly update.

tbh I'm not super fond of cruel characters, so initially her uber-coldness threw me off. I love confident and powerful female characters but idk, shang wuxin didn't really do it for me. There was a bit of development in her character towards the end, but her selfishness made her pretty unlikeable for me. I know she's not supposed to be a good person, she's jaded, cruel, lost faith in humanity, and I do sympathize with her terrible past, but idk, it was hard to like her at many points of... more>> the story.

the male characters are pretty remarkable for the most part. They have distinct characteristics and have unique interactions with shang wuxin, but the one thing they have in common is cruelty. Yes I know they're not good people but yknow, many of their actions were just a hard nope for me. Sometimes they're justified but often, they're not.

overall it was an okay read, good for killing time. Read if you have lots of time and nothing to do, or if you prefer more ruthless characters. Personally they're not my taste but if they are yours, hey, you do you and enjoy it.

(also the author does this thing where every time the female/male leads appear there would be like a very repetitive description of how hot and beautiful and peerless they are and it got on my nerves a lot lol, but I learned to just skim through those parts XD) <<less

Not good, not bad. This novel has a potential but the author not using it well. I want more action and something that exciting to make me wanna read what happened next but it's boring from the start. The build up is flat. Not exciting enough just like the MC character. I'm forcing myself to read next chapter. It's boring that make me fell asleep..

That's unbearable. I struggled through the first 10 chapters and that's my limit, though I was originally curious about the setting. But really. It's just too s*upid. It gets unbrearably s*upid from the very first chapter. That is, if she's so perceptive and capable why would she be decieved so easilly? It is said that the killer spent 10 years on gaining her trust, so that she (the supposed genious overlord) doesn't look too pathetic with this setting but in reality it is only more rediculous. That is, she had... more>> 10 years to figure him out and she still failed? And she is supposed to be otherwordly perceptive? Are you kidding me? And then... The one who is supposed to be the genious who fooled the genious shows the behaviour of your tipical cannon fodder. Why is it possible and what is it done for you'd ask? It is possible because the author is silly and it is done for the idea that no good man will be able not to fall for such a miraculous MC so the offender has to be an embarrassment. But then there's the question - how could he fool her? And it is also mentioned that he still had some minor feelings for her (of course, she is such a deity), but then why is he talking about how nasty it felt to kiss her and the like? Even mentioning such a traumatic chiledhood experience. There are also other details that don't match at all. Thouse with basic logic are bound to suffer while reading it, so... Just don't -_-

Overall it's just senseless sh*t written for shallow narrow-minded people who like to dream of supremacy, one of those stories. Such a dissapointment. Wife of Sove described the stories's concept very neatly) love it) <<less

It's rare to find good reverse harem novels. And when I mean reverse harem, I don't mean that 'in the end I choose monogamy'. I mean REAL polyandry!

All the ML's were fine, but I'm personally more into the puppy wolf type and that general really sold me on that ♥ 10/10 would cuddle.

The plot is interesting and the MC really sold us the real 'cold & icy' stuff. The fluff? Well, I guess...? Maybe...? Uhm... Can a lot of fan service compensate that? Yes? Good.

Okay so I agree with everyone here. The assassin ML really behave like a lovesick girl. It's just their first meeting yet he already felt what one would feel towards his crush. It's beyond love at first sight. Just because of her god-like appearance and her lazy but cold attitude, he already have some thoughts.

He's an assassin and their leader. Of course he's strong and respected but how do his subordinates see him if they come to know he like another man? He didn't even bother investigate thoroughly about this... more>> prince and just uh nevermind

Okay.. It's my FIRST (note the first) POLYANDRY novel I have read so far!! It's not that I'm against it but I'm more of a one to one (you know what I mean?). I don't know if I have read so much romance novels and manga that engages in a one to one love but I'm a bit uncomfortable as I don't know what the ending will behold. If it's tragedy I know where it's going (yep! Definitely don't want to read such thing in this story). But if its... more>> happy ever after (chessy hahah) then how will it have that if many male leads are on the one female lead? Because what I read/watch so far were those Disney and romance novels (those that engages with marriage, vow or loyalty) it kind of hurt. Butttt!! Then again if its a cliffhanger (I doubt that is happening but hey anything is possible) then that's another story will be talking about.

What I summarised so far is that (guess she haven't met the one guy she truly love if she has too many boys lingering onto her) but I'm not gonna judge first because I haven't read the novel as I am waiting the current traslations for it to be updated/posted.
