Compared to liking her, Sheffield really does dislike Dorothy a bit more.

Ever since they were little, Dorothy had always attracted all the girls around them.

She would constantly declare in front of Sheffield that she was going to build her own harem.

Every girl who got close to Sheffield was actually after Dorothy, leaving him to live the pitiful life of a perpetually single guy.

Even the mysterious system he somehow acquired only had one function: to check the favorability of the girls around him toward Dorothy.

It was only then that he finally realized…

Honestly, I really like this one.

The MC and his childhood friend are "bros", as the story itself states. The synopsis isn't a trap, Dorothy is legitimately aiming for a harem of girls. There are hints of some underlying love towards the MC, but it is far overshadowed by familial love. Meanwhile, the MC is helping Dorothy manage the growing harem so that all the girls can compete for her love and attention, yet never confess to Dorothy. Thus allowing Dorothy to go out and find more cute girls.

This is completely... more>> a slice-of-life story. Things are building, but haven't gone anywhere yet.

Most characters have showed themselves to be slightly unhinged, at least. Like one girl secretly opening her coat to reveal she's made herself into the magical equivalent of a su*cide bomber, if her demands are not met.

The best part of the is how the MC goes about his life as a sidekick. He owns shares in the local newspaper, who's gossip section is always full of Dorothy's antics, profiting immensely (though he can't control what gossip the papers put in). He is a villain who has decided to settle as a sidekick and it is hilarious.

He firmly believes he can't get a girlfriend. Not for self-esteem issues, but because ALL the girls who have ever approached him in life do so to get closer to Dorothy or get stolen by her anyway. So, even though there are some "love interests", he is either unaware or fully believes they too will be stolen away.

Overall, very fun and hectic. My only real complaint is the chapters don't mesh very well together. Some of the chapter transitions whiplashed me enough to break my immersion, switching scenes completely. <<less
