I don't know how to describe my feelings after reading this story.

I don't think many people will enjoy it. I don't think I enjoyed it either.

But even though I didn't enjoy it, I still read until the very end.

... more>> This novel is very brutal and twisted, but somehow, in some weird way, it still makes sense.

Under normal circumstances I would've given this novel a 1/5 score. It is full of ramblings of a broken child who has ceased to be human after an insane amount of torture and trauma. Her goals are ill-defined, her wishes keep on changing every chapter. Sometimes she wants to kill herself, sometimes she wants to kill others. She loves her childhood friend, the heroine of the novel, even though the heroine abandoned her. But at the same time she hates her tremendously.

Spoiler

Even at the very end, when she goes completely insane and becomes a true "villain", her thoughts are full of the heroine and nobody else. And when she finally dies becoming nothing but ash, the heroine becomes just like her, broken and lost.

[collapse]

The story ends on a bitter note.

But I still want to give it a 4/5.

Not because it deserves that rating.

But because of the simple fact that throughout the entire story, even though I didn't understand her, or her actions, I felt that the main character could have easily been me.

After all, she was nothing but a human. <<less
