I really love this book, though it makes me feel sad.

I feel sorry for Zhishu He. He loves Wenxu Jiang so much. I really want to ask him: why don't you tell him? You are going to leave the world. If you tell him, Wenxu Jiang would accompany you in the rest of your life, at least you have happy memories.

So far, this book is full of sadness. Most of online novels are far away from real life, but this book is very real. In the reality, spoony girl and unfaithful boy is everywhere. Love is good or bad. Different people have different fate, but why? No one can tell the reasons behind it. Sometimes, we only can accept fact. Anyway, this is an awesome book. It makes me think a lot.

I remember this novel very much. It left such a deep imprint on me that even just reading the synopsis can me feel what I felt reading this. Another reason for this is that this is the first web novel I read and this was what brought me into this rotten world QAQ. Can you imagine the trauma it has brought to the very innocent 13 years old me at that time? It was like a moth attracted to flame even though I was stabbed with a blunt knife in... more>> every chapter I still read it, even when I felt that the novel would only get sadder and end in tragedy, I held on to a non-existing hope and carried on. It was the first time in my life to realize that traumas are real.

But anyways, I would give it a five. Idk if it's that good but I'm not collected enough to critique this thing.

And for the last thing, I think I haven't finished reading this. And I wouldn't want to reread this. Not even for the name of facing my trauma, or appreciating a literary piece, or even for the sake of throwback.

I forgot to add this so in addition, I want to thank myself for reading this through, and for being patient with MTL, (at that time I didn't know it was MTL I just thought the English were bad and hard to understand, and also the chapters are hard to find + I still haven't discovered NU at that time and and I read around the start of quarantine which really suited my mood at that time) I think it has a great effect on my view of love, of relationships. which I'm glad of. And of course, thank you for this novel.

And oh! I stopped I think near MCs deathbed when he went outside the city with the doctor, and also there is a letter given to the cheater. boooo 👎. Though I was at your camp at that time, now I just want MC to leave/live peacefully... <<less

Soo tedious to read I simply found it unbearable and boring although I sympathize with the MC but his terrible decisions made me feel really disappointed he made a total joke of his life as if it was something cheap, if you dont cherish yourself no one will, if he had taken desicive actions cared abit about himself and didnt continue this meaningless existense he wouldnt be dead at the end I really couldnt continue reading it it was a test of my indurence the ML was a selfish cruel... more>> manchild who*e not worth speaking to yet alone living and dying for I simply abhore him this lying sl*t and the MC is too much of an idiot sick in love even his whole temperment changed to one gentle meek and easy to bully not only by the MC but by all people around him how he allowed the mistress into his home when he just demanded like it was his own right or when the doctor cling to him and insist on things but I understand this came out of tirdeness and unwilling and uncaring to live but still wishing to have kindness <<less

Ziyu (2nd male lead) deserve so much better. I know my second male lead syndrome is acting up, BUT! He really deserve much more than this.

He is handsome, gentle, caring, a doctor, have a good family background, he's basically perfect. Even Zhishu admitted that he didn't deserve Ziyu.

Fortunately, Ziyu moved on but he can't fall in love the second time because he was hurt too deeply. In his next life, I only wish him to be well and happy.

For the leads, Zhishu and Wenxu. I just want them to be... more>> separated. They made the choice, and their choices leads them where they are today. (I just want them not to involve Ziyu.)

Wenxu is really a scum. Not only he r*ped Zhishu but also cheated on him for years, with different people even.

Zhishu, [sigh] feels complicated about this one. On one hand, I hate iron for not becoming steel. While on the other, I wish Ziyu isn't his doctor.

Zhishu disappointed many people, including me.

The ironic thing is, Wenxu is the only person he didn't disappoint.

Zhishu's so brilliant but he gave that up. I don't know if he's in his right mind at that time but if he's my friend, I already slap him to wake him up.

I quite agree on Secretary Song's view.

"I was just astounded. A man had to wait for another man to come home? What was this? A man wasn't supposed to be wasted like this! How could Zhishu He be happy anyway? He was so confident when he killed in those bidding speeches, when he talked businesses in a suit. Keeping him at home would only rot this man!"

Even if Zhishu is gay, he's still a man. He's making him useless.

He's Wenxu's mistress (Is that the right term??) for two years and the most recent one.

He loved Wenxu to the point that when he knew Wenxu is in love with someone else he still continued being the side chick. He even begged Wenxu not to throw him away, even at the cost of being a mistress.

Unfortunately, he died unexpectedly.

The novel wasn't exactly that bad, nor was it that good. Though I would say the angst was pretty much on point. There's plotholes I can ignore (the plothole was explained later but doesn't really explained it well), but the angst of the novel would really go straight to your heart. At the latter half tho, I didn't cry as much. But kudos for making me cry.

I actually noticed this because of the mahua adaptation titled, The 10 Years I Loved You The Most. If you want to read it, just search the title on Chrome.

I'm quite hesitant to read the manhua because many people (in TikTok mostly) labeled it as a manhua that really gives you emotional damage. So, when I saw that it has a novel, I dived in. And, it wasn't so bad. I feel I can take it (the manhua version).

If you want to cry, recommended.

P.S. Don't mind me randomly bringing Ziyu up. My illness is just acting up. <<less

I read this on manhua with the title 10years I love you the most. And honestly, this is the first bl I dare to read and gives me a trauma. Yes, I even skip the popular manhwa with the title killing stalking as I got spoiled on the ending and knows that it is a BE. I hate bad ending stories coz it makes me depressed and takes time to move on. And as sad as the story has a BE this novel definitely have a very good plot that... more>> you won’t forget and the character setting is solid. It’s painful yet despite that pain I can see how wonderful this is. Kudos to the translator for picking this up and to the author for making something that will leave a deep impression which will imprint in your mind and soul. <<less

It's very well crafted. From starts to finish, it illicits the purpose, emotion and goal the author plans for reader to experience.

I can't find faults in it. The overall writing is consistent, true and steadfast. The characters where very flesh out and the plot was simple but exquisite. A book's job is to connect the reader to it, and it did a goob job in it.

I don't usually delve on the issues (unfairness, misconduct, poor retribution, better alternative endings and the likes) as I find the book very convincing and... more>> grounded. It convinces readers how in reality, this also happens.

It's tragic. I cried a lot of times. But in a way this is a cathartic book for those who feel alone and abandoned. It begs the question of love's integrity through time. To be honest, it made me feel scared of falling in love. Because they had it all, they loved and it shows. But it still withered. It's a wakeup call to everyone that we are only humans and we are bound to make mistakes. I hope this will serve a lesson to those with their love ones to cherish the love that you have and at the same time love and protect yourself. It should be both of these two at the same time.

It is one of the most emotional novels I have read; second only to Till Death Do us Part.

The story is quick phased, a very good complement for the plot. You would feel a lot of emotions; mixed if I may say. Give this a good read and don't be troubled by the ending or any negative opinion towards the characters. The best tip I could give is read this in a good environment with a quiet atmosphere. Enjoy reading this masterpiece, and please, don't kept pressed on the characters,... more>> but rather focus on the moral of the novel. After reading this, you may catch a heavy chest, but I assure you, reading this is worth it, and probably one of the best novels you could read. <<less

I hated this novel so much I gave it a 5 stars. I would not reread it ever again because the tears I spent on this was so much my eyes were swollen for 3 days.

Every chapter is painful and I would not recommend it to anyone who doesn't like too much angst especially since only MC has a happy ending in the end - ... more>>

There is no happy ending

I read this Manhua about a year ago, cried alot and my heart ached for Zhishu. Even after finishing it I had lingering feels for a few days and would go reread a certain chapter.

After I found the novel I knew would cry all the same. Last night I finally steeled my heart and tearfully read through the pain Zhishu had to endure. To love and be so devoted to someone to the point it's foolish and self-harming.

Tragedies leave a bitter taste in the mouth. But perhaps it's the tears I cry for the characters that make them feel closer to the heart. From the bottom of my heart, I hope in his next life if there is one, he'd have his happiness. No more sad ends.

ML is the classic example of someone who took things for granted. Does he deserve all the bad things that happened to him? Absolutely. He himself understands it. <<less

I hate the author for making me cry and making my heartache but at the same time for bring me the chance to read this story.

Sometimes I do wish for HE but it probably won't have the same impact and sentimental feel; not all love is sweet as a fairytale. Personally, I don't think the ML is a bad person, he did treat the MC good during this school where their love was... more or less innocent and pure BUT when his environment changes the person also changes.... more>> Made countless mistakes and bad decision to the point where it's fatal.

Can someone tell me why I willingly tortured like this? My heart aches and shattered into dust. God.. I’ve been wanting to read this months ago, but finally I brave myself and read this.

This is a solid 5 star. So many beautiful lines though it was painful. The author is just so damn good with sending knives all over star from 1st chapter till the end. I cried so much till I need to reread several lines because my eyes blurry.

This is a reality happened around us. You can find... more>> so many ppl who being a s*um everywhere. The saddest part is, in reality those s*um didn’t regret what they’ve done. At least in this novel, WJ regret what he did.

I also think why ZH keep forgiving him, and won’t stand up for himself. But..

Who can’t stop loving (or believe) a person you loved for half of your life, the one you choose, you dedicate yourself to. ZH choose to be with WJ in heavy price, so how could he leave WJ and threw away the price he had to pay? It’s like burning your house when you spill your blood and tears to build it with your bare hand. Who could? ZH choose WJ, pay it with his bright future, his career, and even his parent’s life. So tell me, when a person who paid that heavy price for loving a person, could just leave? Just low your pride and dignity not even matter, since I pay that heavy price in the beginning. That’s what you’ll think if you’re in ZH position. He doesn’t even have family, friends, nor money. No job also. Is that love? No. You need to cherish yourself. That’s why ZH finally left, when he had nothing else to lose.

Do I feel bad for WJ? Yes. We all make mistakes in our life. But WJ didn’t have chance to atone.

What if ZH admit he gonna die soon? Will it be different story? Yes, maybe. No, I’m sure WJ will cherish him and they spend their last days happily. But where is the satisfaction for us readers? And why ZH didn’t tell him? He was ridiculed for years, some of WJ words really cruel and stabbed deep. Even I just read it for few chapters and it already crushed me. ZH treated like that for the last 4 years. No wonder he didn’t dare to tell WJ. Better to die alone rather than ridiculed and die alone.

I wonder why this novel only get rating lower than 4.8. This is so good, even though you’ll cry a river. If you like a story who had beautiful lines within, read it. Grit your teeth, prepare your tissue, and enjoy the pain. <<less

honestly I hate tragedic novels specially bl novels but I like this ending very much.

and I agree with others comment. I dont feel any pity toward ML. Actually I want him to suffer more than 4 years. And I really want a extra that MC and 2nd ML will be togather, I really want it.

and I dont agree with the comments that said MC is dumb or silly, I mean love is blind of course. MC didnt have any family except ML. He cuts his relation with his family so he afraids that ML leaves him. So he gave ML the company and became house wife, its not just for love its because he afraids of being alone, he wanted to gave ML everything so he couldnt leave him alone. He didnt go to uni because he was blinded by love but after many years he didnt want to regreted. He didnt want to admit that he lose his future life, his family, his everything just for a s*um person, I mean who would like to admit it? So he only could use himself so ML couldnt leave him and when he find out that he only has few Months he decided to live like he want. And left ML.

i feel pity for 2nd ML too. He is vsry good and risponsible person, I wanted to see they live togather happily for rest of their love.

I will be honest. I am not a fan of yaoi and usually avoid this genre. Also I avoid tragedy. So I have no idea why I started and finished this not only once but twice. My heart twisted and got a headache from crying. But what happened with MC, the way ML treated him is too real. I do not buy that regret part from ML. Anyways, it is a really good novel. Started reading both the genre after this.

I just wish Zhishu and Ziyu meet each other again on their second lives and they fall in love with each other because. Zhishu may have had good and happy times on this life with Wenxu but that doesn’t excuse his behavior or how he treated Zhishu and only regret too late. Ziyu I honestly feel really sorry for him and I wished that they were the ones that met during high school.

This novel is love and hate. Though I love extra ending. Novel make MC lover seem like a bad guy. I forgave him. Yeah he sleep around but didn't real love them. He keep dating guys that look like the younger version of his current bf. His bf age and face has change much. I dislike the dr. They could have a last chance to talk before MC leave. But dude the story does make your eye cry out.

This is the reason, the reason is that I have read a similar novel that has the same storyline as this one. This made realize that this novel is too predictable for me. I like it but not to point that I am willing to finish it because the first chapter already announced how the story... more>> will end which made me stop reading. I know many people like this story but let me ask you to read Gaze at the scenes of debauchery then you will know why I am saying it's similar. If you want something that has a very unpredictable ending then read that story. It will blow your brain away. I think one of the reason also is the fact that I read Gaze first before this but Gaze was first translated than this so I think it is reasonable. Anyways, I stopped reading this novel at the 60th chapter, not bad isn't it? <<less

The end is ridiculously abrupt. I just can't believe that I've spent two days getting invested in this novel to have such unsatisfying end. I don't recommend reading this novel at all.

The MC is perfect. He's not a pushover. Yes, he spent 14 years with the same guy and 4 years getting betrayed, but he knew what he was doing. He's a strong character.

But it does not make it worth the horrible open bad ending. Again. Not worth reading it.
