Hey guys, hope yall doing well. Well, my review is going to be blunt and straightforward:

    • This novel is objectively BAD. Just BRAINROT, nothing more.
      • Turn off your brain
    • If you like novels where the characters suffers from REGRET, the it's a 4-star. If you'd like something more than that, then it's a 2-3 star
    • The people that are translating the novel are doing a great job because reading this sh*t from a Machine Translator is a PAIN and BORING. Please support them with a comment if you can because they're the saving grace.
    • Skip the first chapter. Trust me, it's basically spoiler.
    • Also, no one notices a thing after the MC disconnects his skill with his previous students. They didn't even realize (until not chapter-97) that the reason they're not improving is because the MC is not there.
    • The person who took his place is just a villain. He's only there to make the MC looks a saint. Ab*se, Violence and Harassment, that's all that guy does. Shallow
    • More points:
        • World-building is weak.
            • I don't even know how the MC's House, previous workplace (academy) or studio looks like
            • His county backstory is shallow asf. And there's no mention of the international scenario (he's basically re-writing history but no country except Korea is aware of that. Why is it? Are we reading a webnovel from North Korea?)
            • This novel doesn't even has a HISTORY. We don't know why and how it's society became the way it is, cruel and merciless. Maybe it's indeed North Korea
            • And everything is lackluster. I didn't even realized that this world had something like a Gate (and by extension, Monsters) because it got left out and only mentioned suddenly
            • The narrator sounds like someone who is viewing the world through a window.
            • Again, Shallow.
        • Characters is shallow
            • We don't know anything about the protagonist besides the fact that he's strong and got wronged.
            • Also, as the novel tag says: It's a transmigration novel (to a Game). So it's your "ah, I got transmigrated to a game and I want to go back home : ("
            • The others characters are unremarkable with no qualities whatsoever besides 2 girls that rarely shows up (White-haired disciple and the girl who trusted him before anyone could)
            • The only thing that you'll notice about them is their action and feeling, because personality? LMAO. They're just following a script
            • Also, most characters feels CHINESE instead of KOREAN. If you know you know
            • The people that he sponsored with millions of money never shows up to give MC support. MC just draws on a sea of hatred and resentment. We don't even know if they took part in the bullying
        • Plot is nice, basic and executed so-so
            • The angst is simple. You'll get what you expect
            • The way things unfolds reminds CHINESE manhua, cheap.
            • Also, this novel doesn't have ANY DIRECTION. You won't be seeing MC new disciples after a while and their relevance (up to chapter 97) is non-existent
        • Weird pacing
            • Sometimes, things happens too fast. It's not a bad thing but sometimes it feels like you skipped one or two chapters
        • Interactions, just as DVEAK said, are mostly insults.
            • Dialogues are predictable. Repetitive and shallow with those who wronged the Main Character.

Premise sounded like a nice setup for a vindictive revenge that pokes a hole in the hearts of the enemy, causing them to have endless regret.

This story poked holes in my brain and I am left with endless regret.

Spoiler

The principle of the academy has a master key that stores all student information in real-time, because for some reason all phone messaging apps and image storage are intercepted and stored if they take place on academy grounds. And the master key also happens to have a backup, which is completely identical in function and also CAN'T have a seal placed over it because somehow that might damage it. Then the principle tells his daughter in great detail all of its functions, how it can be freely accessed since there's no seal on it, and the exact location of where it's stored in their house. And when she uses it and tries to cover up her access log by replacing it with the MC's name, her father conveniently tells her that the original log is still accessible. This isn't a Chekhov's gun situation, it's a Chekhov's 2 inch switchblade that the author is waving around in a crazed manner.

The author spoils their OWN NOVEL, and it isn't even a subtle hint or anything, it just TELLS you what is going to happen.

This is how ALL of the plot points are introduced. They just happen, and the future implications are already visible with no suspense.

The dialogue is also 40% insults hurling at each other in a crude way that isn't really interesting to read. I found myself scrolling through whenever characters spoke like it was a badly translated manhua, where my brain auto-translates the tr*sh into basic plot points.

This is very clearly the author's first work, or one of the first. In the future, when they look back on this novel, they will cringe at how they wrote it. Me too. This novel is a cognitohazard.

However, I will rate this novel 5 stars, so that others can enjoy this story as well. <<less

Liking this so far. As the title of this novel, it’s one of those falsely accused stories, but with emphasis on some of the characters being jerks.... more>>
Spoiler

The false accusation started, because the president’s daughter, used a master key duplicate to snoop on the intranet (basically the magical version of internet) on her classmates. The daughter is also a student of the academy, and is MC’s student. Other professors are afraid to give president’s daughter a failing grade. But not our MC. This earned the MC the ire of the academy president. Academy president not wanting to be incriminated on the crime committed by his idiot daughter, decides to use this as a way to get rid of MC. Since the president’s daughter altered the logs by using MC’s account. Academy president use the altered log account to frame MC. Why did the academy president’s daughter did this? Because she was jealous that female students are hovering over MC. So she used the intranet master key to frame MC, so the girls would leave him. Then she (president’s daughter) will come in to comfort him. MC quits the academy, after being thrown nasty words at him by his former students. Nobody believed he was innocent. MC then removes buff skill from his 521 students out of frustration. The 521 students are now affected with an unfortunate skill

That’s it for spoilers. You’ll have to read this gem of a novel, since it is worth reading it. Is MC OP? It’s because of years of cultivating knowledge and effort. So he isn’t someone handed power on a silver platter from the beginning (like gods/goddesses offering skills that makes MCs OP). <<less

It's honestly bad, but as long as you expect that it can be a fun read. Doesn't deserve a 4/5 for merit of quality, but I've had a good time reading it even though it kinda sucks.

Don't read if you don't have a terminal lack of braincells like me.

EDIT: Having caught up, this is confirmed still dogshit. Yet somehow, it's like a well seasoned sh*t salad with enough croutons that I can enjoy carbs till I'm reminded of how bad it is again.

I sort of recommend it? Maybe? It seems... more>> worth it to keep reading if you're already enough chapters in, but it's hard to say you should pick it up.

Honestly not that bad conceptually, but the author really messed up hard. Like there was plenty of opportunities for this to get better, or scenes to have been written better.

Somehow though, the author almost comedically does a 180 every time they approach the potential of a really well written plot point, and keep churning out slop. Sort of okayish slop, but come on man. <<less

This’ll be a short review for a pretty short and fairly shallow novel. The hate against it really is quite overblown. This is basically parallel to the numerous dime-a-dozen Chinese face-slapping novels. Except it just happens to be Korean is all. The setting is basic enough at the premise, it’s a harsh world where the strong eat the weak and the MC who is actually an overpowered monster wants to be good and thus works at this academy teaching the kids, also to escape this world he needs companions to... more>> help him. He has a really powerful skill that boosts the stats and learning of every person he marks as a student. Some things happen, he gets framed and not a single person or his students believe in him. So he chooses to leave first, taking his skill with him.

Almost every single person with power in this novel is cartoon evil or ungodly corrupt or s*upid or some combination of all of them. Past the starting arc this becomes about randomly beating anyone and everyone that pops up. But the MC does also acknowledge that despite being stronger, he’s miserable now compared to his life before of teaching the students.

Anyways, I read this via MTL till chapter 92, its just a simple almost braindead read, not particularly good but not bad either, an alright 6 out of 10 novel. It knows what it is and doesn’t pretend to be anything else. <<less

Honestly most of the hate is valid for the novel, even as far as face slapping and petty MC’s go usually there’s something that will keep you reading. With murim novels it’s usually the cultivation or some future event like the opening of a secret realm or higher realm. For me this novel is difficult to read the first few chapters don’t do it any favors it feels like some parts are trying to highlight how innocent and amazing the MC is, which is fine but it feels forced like... more>> the author just wanted to get it out of the way.

It might just be me but my biggest problem is how out of 521 students is there not one outlier who still believes in the MC or trusts him at least a little.
Spoiler

I mean it seems there bonds were pretty shallow when someone he rescued way back is the only one able to believe him and see it rationally. It just kind of gives this image that all his students are just plain s*upid.
