Every dragon wants to be an excellent evil dragon, so Long Shiyu tried to abduct a princess.

Back then, he wasn’t the Dragon Lord yet, but there was an elf princess in some remote galaxy who was getting married in the elves’ ancient castle.

Castles, princesses and weddings.

This was a standard evil dragon plot!

And thus Long Shiyu waited for the wedding, seized the fairest of them all in his claws, and made a hasty escape. He landed in a wild plain, released his claws, and looked at his princess with satisfaction.

A handsome man glared back fiercely.

​Long Shiyu’s heartbeat quickened, oblivious to the fact that this was not a princess, but a fearless dragon hunter.

Many years later, that hero no longer remembered him. He captured Long Shiyu as prey and kept him by his side, taking up the part-time job of dragon rearing in passing.

It’s a cute story with interesting characters. There’s no angst contrary to expectations, because ML is someone who acts on what he believes in and isn’t easily influenced by opinions of others. MC on the other hand can’t lie to his princess with an automatic lie detector present as his tail.

I like how the characters each had their backgrounds, and you can’t particularly say someone is good or bad. The main villain for example didn’t start off as a villain, but circumstances shaped his beliefs, which ended up getting distorted... more>> with time. If MC wasn’t the one he had to kill, maybe his life would’ve turned out different if he learned to love.

I think ML’s mom’s story was my favorite of them all. The relationship between her and her husband was written very realistically with common problems faced in relationships. It was inevitable that they were on different sides since their viewpoints were always different, but the line saying mom was created because hid can’t be everywhere really touched me. I loved her relationship with the whale, and the whale’s love for her made me cry. I like that the future shows her with the whale rather than her husband.

My favorite character would definitely be ML’s friend named Lu Shanhuai. I found it so cute that his ancestor also told ML’s future in the past which made ML’s mom think he was crazy and run away. He keeps predicting the future with his “commader’s intuition” by sending ML domineering ceo novels, traumatizing the ML into blocking him.

Overall, most of the antagonists aren’t pure villains, and they have their reasons for how they became that way. The root cause of everything is obsession, and I think it was beautifully written. They have their own consequences for the paths they’ve chosen, but it’s something they’re aware of and willing to bear.

I definitely recommend reading this, it’s quite silly at times but it has depth. There’s many 3d characters that make you feel for them. ML and MC are so sweet and there’s no unnecessary misunderstandings because ML understands MC has secrets, but he makes it clear he’s willing to wait. Finally, MC’s ying skill is something worth reading for haha. <<less

4.5* very sweet and fluffy story, plot: ML is a hunter who thinks MC is a weak low tier dragon; MC is actually the king, has a serious injury, and has a hobby of acting cute and clingy towards the ml

Recommend as a light read without a lot of thought needed, MC is very OP

I adore this very much. MC, our gluttonous little dragon king, finds his “princess, ” the renown hunter hailing from a dragon-slayer lineage. Thus the story of a silly but powerful dragon king and his powerful and protective hunter evolves. I love the little fairytale elements scattered throughout, which is an interesting vibe in a futuristic interstellar setting. I love the world building and plot. I also love the characters like ML, who stands by his experiences rather than blindly following tradition. A sweet fairytale with some sadness that passes very quickly.

Considering how this story is about a dragon and it's "princess" (read: dragon hunter), it makes sense that it will be a fairytale-like story. However, the story also touches on some of their sad past which makes it not just simple and sweet

Intertwined with the story are other fairytale-like scenarios, like jack and the beanstalk, a circus, little mermaid etc.

The translation on chrysanthemum garden was also vivid and full of colour, so it was an enjoyable read.
