A very wholesome and heartwarming E-Sports novel. I am in love with all characters 💕

There are some troubles, but these are resolved quickly by our MC Coach “Mama” Lin. It’s a comfortable read, not too much drama and no angst, if you need break from other heavy novels read this one.

Some E-Sports novels tend to have overly detailed matches and skills, but this one doesn’t, I find matches descriptions enjoyable and satisfying to read. All teammates are lovely ‘children’ and main couple is just ♥️.

Their romance is not too fast... more>> and also not too slow, it happened naturally and “Papa” Jing was so smooth with it >w<.

This is super fun to read. Since I've no idea about MOBA games some of the terms and gaming details go over my head. The translator did provide info about the gaming terms so it was smooth to read.

Our MC is fun and ML is devoted lol. The romance is well paced and the cast members all get their moments to shine. The MC and ML parent ship is the best.

Edit on Oct 19: I actually downloaded a moba game and played it so that I can actually understand what is actually going on in the game fight scenes. MOBA games are tough ngl. I did have fun though and I now understand a lot more about the story and thus did a re read. It's much more fun if you know what moba game is like. (I better stop soon or I'll become addicted to this game genre yikes)

AHHH the novel is finally done!!! I love this story so so much. The main couple is so adorable and dog food filled and shameless and I love them. I wish we could have had more of the extras talking about their future and how spear is faring in their team, besides just a parallel universe rendition. One of my top novels for sure.

I enjoyed this. You can feel that the characters in this story are more mature than most other esports BLs, which is a nice... more>> change of pace. The romance is basically attraction at first sight, but in a pretty realistic way. The MC and ML approach this attraction like adults, the ML is very gentle and pampers the MC so much. Love Jing Yuanzhou! Probably one of my favorite MLs ever.

It was also quite interesting reading esports from the coach's perspective. I enjoyed having all the different tactics and outsmarting the other teams. Wanted to keep reading so that I could get to the world series and then see if the MC tells the ML about his past, but got a little tired of MTL'ing. Will come back when it gets translated. Ok our MC is a firstly a coach here on the world that he transmigrated. There's a reason why he can't play fully professionally. My first Noval was King's Avatar and Your slight smile is very beautiful. So I love stories about esports/gaming.

The novel is about Esports and how our MC find his players. Their Journey from bottom to the top. Their team is really a combination of different personalities haha. Their are times that I quick read the novel like long paragraph by the host of the game bla... more>> bla. There is also a parallel world that the author wrote after the Novel End. Well I got bored somtimes but I did laughed more during reading it. Slice of life was shown on some characters. <<less

I couldn't resist and MTLed the rest of the chapters. (If you want to do so yourself, Google the title in Chinese plus the chapter number :)) Definitely worth it though! Probably my favorite BL novel at the moment.

That chat developments were hilarious, and I loved how good MC and ML were to each other. The hurt/comfort parts were so good! Parents ship is definitely OTP, and their double queue are always something to look forward to.

MC is also so badass, making this novel an easy read. Also BB's influence... more>> in the team is awesome and hilarious. If only I can have his mentality lol. <<less

Good novel any plot line is worth to read game or love line it is. Hope to see more chapters with the parent love team haha and more background of gh players.

Hmmm my honest rating was 4.5 like 4 and a half star ✨. Don't get me wrong, the story is good, it's just that I somehow find it weird that I enjoyed the part about the game compared to the love story about the Coach and God Jing. Ahhhhhh I absolutely love this one, always find myself going back to it despite not being the type to reread previously read works. The mc's character is so refreshing to read, not the usual hidden mary sue or green tea that's overly dependent on the ML or overly feminine. Both the MC and ML are mature, have unique characters of their own as well as chemistry that doesn't feel forced.

Putting aside the great romance in this novel, the comedy in it is just great on its own, I really loved... more>> the side characters because they had a life of their own instead of being there solely for the sake of uplifting the leads.

Also loved the unique take on e-sports where our MC takes an unconventional role in supporting his team from the sidelines while still being quite powerful. The parental love cp is so so cute, especially combined with the focus on the adorable interactions they have with their team mates. <<less

this novel is cute, the main cp has very palpable s*xual tension between them and everything they say can somehow sound wrong without any context which is funny when they're overheard and misunderstood by their team members.

the main cp and their team members are basically like parents raising their children which is adorable, and they all are really like family too.

every character has their own backstory which mostly gets resolved one by one, although I do wish the mc's ptsd as a player would be fully resolved with the ml's... more>> help, instead of only getting a little bit better but still not being able to sit through a full BO3/BO5 match.

the MC was actually a really talented player in his original world but he only played one match before getting ptsd, so he switched to being a coach in this world and founded his own team with his ideal players to win the world championship.

overall I think the romance and esports balances out, rather than being focused more on the game like other novels. <<less

honestly its not that bad and I enjoyed this, like you know classic op MC who has the golden touch shi bla bla and im honestly a sucker for these type of novels but like I feel like we just kind of brush off the fact that MC transmigrated into an e-sports novel, like it was just said for op MC plot purposes then forgotten about? I dont know we didn't really dive... more>> into that fact much it was only stated a couple of times for MC being super duper op like we didnt know how MC got transmigrated into this e-sports novel? Like its just there in the description and then never explained in the novel???? This one REALLY bugs me.. Like what happened??

also ml's backstory I feel like isnt rlly that much explained? I dont know I guess you can say it was but like.. It just felt bland iykwim it just stated what happened and all that stuff so we didnt get to see much action and we didnt really meet ML family much? We only met his mom side so

also I dont know if its just me but sometimes I forget the characters name like? I dont know if its just me who feels this way but I feel like jian ye, jian nang, and chen yushen didnt say much or am I tripping? Like they werent as remarkable as bb and ofc our ML and MC.. like chen yushen didnt really talk much? But ofc its his personality but like it just feels like hes a ghost? It almost made me forget he was apart of the team during the middle, same with jian ye but its mainly because I forget who he is sometimes but that my saying still stands actually not sure about that but yeah

IT GETS UNRELIABLE HERE: also the other chinese division teams! I dont know but for me it just feels.. A bit bland-ish? Like dont get me wrong I like them but I dont know I just dont feel a connection much between them and gh?? Like bk? What happened to them? They werent mentioned much nearing the end other than their other former captain being the coach and titans blah blah blah all that stuff but I guess it's understandable since they got eliminated.. But like titan's relationship with bk's current captain is just?? I dont know it feels a bit nonexistent compared to the start?? Honestly I dont know what im yapping abt..

CONCLUSION: its an okay novel, I enjoyed reading it dont get me wrong! Its just these stuff that makes me not that immersed unlike the other e-sports novel i've read.. And also honestly tbf I actually enjoyed the extra parallel universe more than the main story one.. Its just cute and adorable I like the plot, a bit sad its an oneshot (-ish?) but its okay! Overall a nice and cute novel to read if youre bored and just want to read without thinking much (or/and if you like fluff and dog food), I'd probably read it again if I was bored <<less

ahhh I love this one so much!!! eueueuuee... the characters were so lovely and I enjoyed reading their story so so much... I have to say that compared to other novels I've read the angst on this one is very, very minimal, like there are some character backstories that really hit you in the heart but overall there’s only a small risk factor involved, which I enjoyed! the characters are written beautifully and the story was so funny and sweet. definitely recommend <33

Final thoughts

I can't lie it was a good novel, however it's lacking compared to many other E-Sports novels like I can do it and God Level Summoner. I didn't like that the main couple wasn't very much developed. I wish they had more cute parts.

The last extras was annoying me because this novel would be so much better if there was other couples. Ai and DeMen would have made a great couple and it would have a contrast to the main couple.

I like the characters and how they are. But I wish it had more character development for the other teams. I wish their relationships were more involved.

Furthermore, the world champions didn't feel like it at all! There was only mention of America 🧍‍♀️. Like what about European countries, they're so much more developed and have better skills. There wasn't a mention of other countries, only Korea and America.

I did like LY and JY, they were cute. JY had a legit personality and wasn't them stone cold hearted gongs. I did like that they did have intimacy and weren't abstinent during the whole thing. It gave a bit of spark to the whole thing.

Overall, I would give this a 6/10. Decent but as I've said before very lacking in development and details compared to novels like I can do it and God level summoner. (Read Die Zhilling's novels, they're legit 10/10. She never misses and the slow yet natural romance is to die for. Recommendations are 'Escape the library', 'Card Room', 'God Level Summoner' and etc.) <<less

Been a long time since I write a review.

Actually this Novel has been in my list for a long time, but I just read it in this 4 days before I write this review. I somehow a little bit regret it cause I just read it... But yeah it's very good that eventually I read it and my fingers itchy to share this excitement!

I love this novel!

... more>> What I love the most is, the fluff and cute story, the dog food, the characters and their dynamic!

First, it's really cute, fluff, sweet, and full of sugar! There is no heavy dog blood I think, of course there are some conflict but it's really fast and easy to resolve. So yeah it's full of fluff. I read it with full of smile and laugh sometimes.

The romance is not slow, well I like it lol Sometimes I want to grit my theet and I'm easy to lost my patience when I read a slow burn romance, so this novel is good if you want a quick romance

For the characters, actually it just like any novel with OP characters, the MC, ML and teammates is TOO OP (I even think that their OPness is illogical moreover for the new comer player, but they are cute so it's an ok from me, beside it's already told in summary that everyone in of novel is OP but alas they are just a Cannon fodder so their talent just wasted), for me they are still likeable. Their dynamic is good. I just love all the characters, even the side charactesrs. Almost everyone in the circle has a very good relationship. Of course, except the brainless-cannon fodder-antagonis (For me it's a Mary sue novel, so of course there must be a brainless character).

The MC is typical OP, rich, cheeky, arrogance, talented, beautiful, shameless shou while the ML is typical OP, handsome, cool, indifferent but sweet to MC, talented, shameless and possessive gong. Yeah he is possessive and easyly jealous but I think he still can endure it. He knew his bottom line so I think it's nice. Despite the fact that their characters are in almost every novel, I still really really love them!

Third, The translation is very good, thank you for the translator, I can even get carried away when reading it, like getting tense while reading the match or feeling excited when reading Weibo which is explained. And most importantly I can feel the feelings of the people (teammates, friends from other teams, or even the audience) who are served a lot of dog food, lol

But of course there are some minus

First, the story is some typically Mary sue I think?. MC with the golden finger. It's too easy for the protagonist when facing every obstacle.

This novel is a transmigration novel but to be honest, I almost forgot that this novel is a transmigration novel. But as far as I can remember it wasn't explained about how he transmigrated, or maybe I missed it? Besides, usually when transmigrating to a novel at least, the protagonist tell a general of the story, right? Oh forgive me it's told in the summary of the novel. But! I think the element of transmigration is sometimes forgotten! And my question throughout the story is "where is the og protagonist?" Although then it was answered at the end of the story. And unfortunately there are no extra chapters from the ogprotagonist.

Sometimes, I think that there are some loopholes that not answered untill the last story... But for me it's still ok tho. Nah when reading novel I never use my brain, so even there are some illogical things, I always directly throw it out from my head and never questioning it lol

Second, In my opinion, the author does not provide a general, rule, or brief explanation of the game being told, and the heroes.. I mean it's a novel, not everyone know about games and e sport... I even read the short guide of LoL first in order I can imagine the game. Lol

Third, I think sometimes the game pattern is repetitive, so sometimes it's quite boring in some games.

they are always win, well I know the reason why they must win in every games, beside if they ever lost, the chapter will be extended more and more, so they really must win. I like this kind of story where the protagonist always win, but some time for other readers it will be a minus right? Because it will make the story less exciting

I lost count of how many times I had re-read this novel.

Even though this novel has the typical MC transmigrated into a book, the author did a great job on the execution of it - which made me rate this book 5 stars. Both MC and ML are OP, but they still work together to overcome and fill in their shortcomings. When I read the book, there was no 'who's better: MC or ML?' but rather they're equals.

Not only that, but the author also did a great job at the... more>> 'technical' side of things, which is true and amazing for the Esports genre. (Although true to most Chinese E-sports novels out there, there are sprinkles of toxic nationalism there as well, but it is E-sports so...)

Cute couple, fun interactions, face slapping in e - sports, not a deep novel though it touches on e-sports ruthlessness and retirement rate. Entertaining for passing time as the characters were ok and their relationship mature and respectful.

This is one of those books where the minute I finished reading it, I wanted to read it all over again for the first time. It was soooooo good. The characters, the plot, the weaving in of what it takes to manage an e-sports team, the playing of the game, how trauma can affect a person and how with enough support, you can slowly push through it, and also the relationships!!! It's a bold statement but I think this may be my favorite MOBA-esport bl novel. I agree with one of the previous reviewers that there is no real suspense on whether or not they'll ultimately win the championship, the games sometimes feel like a log of events than a play-by-play. I'm not a big player of MOBA games, so this amount of technicality was perfect for me.

The humour was perfect; the writing was engaging; translation was great; the characters, their personalities and backstories were surprisingly detailed given how many there... more>> were and how short the story is.

10/10 I absolutely recommend this novel!

Edited to add: It took during my second reading for me to ask/look it up. "Shooter" = Marksman = Carry or Attack Damage Carry. And Mid lane is also known as Ability Power Carry. So when they mention "two C positions", it's the two Carry positions, "Shooter" and Mid lane.

I seriously thought on the first run through it was the top lane and bot lane on the first read cause the the way the two lanes looked on a map but the context didn't make sense 🤦🤦

Love this story so much, wow. MC is technically a transmigrator but this doesn’t really focus on his knowledge of future events but rather on his knowledge of people and their personal history/interactions. As a person who really enjoys interpersonal relationships and team as family this was my jam! As for the games, the suspense wasn’t so much in wether or not they were gonna win cuz I expected them to achieve their goal. I love MC and ML interaction. Their relationship progress slowly but surely. I Also super love how finally MC got the chance to be a player and wow the world. I had a hunch before and it really happened.
