The world crumbling under a virus, being forcibly drafted into the infected zone because of it—
And worse, finding him there, Kwon Dohyuk, the man she’d parted ways with three years ago.
She’d sworn never to be caught by him again and their time together had been nothing but a mess.
So why…
“Do you still think this is some cruel misfortune?”
Dohyuk’s voice broke through, his knuckles grazing the corner of her lips as he smirked. The scorching sunbathed his frame in light, casting shadows that danced across his features. When Haeun’s hips shifted, a languid whisper followed, settling over her like a caress.
“Open your mouth.”
His voice was warm, but the fingers prying her lips apart were rough. Her dazed eyes met his, and he traced her cheek with a fingertip as if to anchor her in the moment.
“You swore you’d never shut up and just accept things, didn’t you?”
This new misfortune was so achingly sweet, so maddeningly blissful, that she wanted nothing more than to drown in it forever.
