Only this time, it shows us they were all under a spell similar to a brain wash. Because of that, it's even quite hard to feel happy for their life being screwed when we all know it's because of other influence they did it and they never intentionally wanted to do it.
The tragedy is quite sad for the villainess but at the very least, she got another life (?). Though personally, She should just remain dead. Shia is not Lithia, she's a different person altogether. I guess it's just the remaining consolation for the hero after clearing the villainess' name on public.
Actual mind manipulation which only an OP cheat protagonist and a literal saintess could resist is not one of those ways.
When Rage defended Shia/Lithia (FL) in the beginning, nobody knew who he was and slowly the mysterious dude who wanted justice for a falsely accused noble, was shown to be her husband... The beauty of how he loved her and stayed with her regardless of her trauma, literally was so healing... Everybody deserves somebody like that! Somebody that can heal them, regardless of how little the wound is... <33
