The Fake Hero Is Too Strong

Mide Mohan, who can see the list of victims harmed by the sins people have committed.

The one who has committed the most sins is, ironically, the very person hailed as the hero who will save the continent.

Rather than watch someone like that be praised as a hero…

“I’ll do it instead. I’ll be the hero.”

Very well detailed writing. You can tell the author already structured it the ending and the start from the beginning. Very good comedic timings and good characters development. Definitely a must to read. Thank you for translating this primodial translation!

It has been good so far and is obvious that the writer put a lot of thought into this story. It is a story about lies and the power of truth.

The translation is smooth and it doesn't feel translated like some stories which is nice. I am going to keep reading this as it does have interesting characters and isn't just a random hero guy who gets four or more girls to follow him around but and actual group of men and women who all have their unique qualities. The... more>> truth behind the hero being 'fake' is interesting as well. If it doesn't fall flat on its face it has the potential to be a very good story with a rich setting. I look forward to seeing how it ends. I will update this over time to make sure it is accurate. <<less

So far it's been quite entertaining, following the patterns of stories about false and evil heroes with a protagonist who returns and decides to hinder their evil goals.

I dont know how to put spoiler tag to hide the text below

The difference is the ability shown at the beginning to see sins, it seems that it is made to counter the power of the Demon King, his epithet involves secrets and the protagonist making judgments of criminals may be a plot tool to weaken the final boss.

It became better after the chapter 25, I don't think it'll became boring the estructure used by the author (MC know something will happen, go to that place, resolve the problem and gain fame, repeat), the MC is a deus ex-machina, know everything and is overpower, but he's a returner so it made sense, the funny part is the relationship he head with his hero part and how they see him. I just added some more things to see if that evil translator give my chapter, I don't want to wait a few days to see if someone will comment, That time I won't use google to translate so I apologise the errors

It`s a well executed regression novel. Protagonist is strong from the start, has advantage of past knowledge and special ability. He sets on course of recruiting powerful allies and resolving various incidents.

How is it different from every other regression novel?

1. There is an active opposition (fake hero), who has very similar perks to protagonist - strength, knowledge, allies.

... more>> 2. The objective is to expose fake hero - both sides are restricted by appearances of heroism, so they can`t just kill each other.

Protagonist easily cuts through the initial incidents with pure strength and knowledge of the past, but complications begin to arise - past knowledge being inaccurate, timeline changing, because fake hero reacts to new threat, etc.

It`s been a nice read, I think the novel has been gathering steam to go in some interesting directions in upcoming chapters, when more mysteries get revealed and PR battle against fake hero intensifies. <<less

"Why I can't be the hero if the hero is fake?"

First of all kudos to the TL for the high quality translation 🤗

I absolutely love this novel. Mide, the protagonist, is the softest fluffball you’ll ever meet - despite having the ability to see the sins everyone has committed. It’s hard for him to trust others, but he still tries. That quiet hope, that effort to believe despite everything, makes him incredibly endearing. He often blushes when people praise him (even though he knows it’s just gratitude, lol), and his... more>> blunt personality is honestly the highlight - he’ll just say things with zero filter and everyone’s like 😳 (it’s hilarious).

I also love their adventures - it really feels like an epic coming into view (slow burn, but in a good way). And don’t even get me started on Trail, the most “hardworking system” ever lol. Their constant bickering is pure gold, but underneath all that sass is genuine care (probably... maybe). Their dynamic is unmatched, and the fact that Trail’s true identity is still a mystery just keeps me even more hooked... Overall, 10/10 enjoyment! <<less

A genuinely great novel that has an eccentric and strong protagonist that doesn't fall into the trap of being too inhuman like so many others like so far. Really solid side characters and world as well as very good translation. My only complaint is there hasn't really been anything standout yet though great novel otherwise.

This novel is a well executed regression novel. Its a hidden gem in todays type of novels. If you want something good to read, do read this novel. Initial starting (c.1-10) might be a bit rough but it is excellent. Translations is very good too. Also please make sure to give a review after reading it.

The novel starts off with aMide Mohan discovering the hero to be the world's biggest sinner due to his ability to see the sins of people.

When things take a wrong turn in the final events of a big battle with the demon king, Mide is granted a wish to go back in time to become a hero and right the wrongs of the past. The novel has a focus on the protagonist navigating his way through redemption, betrayal and the weight of the truth. His relationships with others is another... more>> part that drives the story

Although it has a harem tag you'd think it would rely on the cliches involved with it where MC relies on hitting everything with a hammer, this appears to not be the case. The novel instead delves into character growth and moral struggles one might have.

Pacing is steady from the beginning to now, and world building is optimized to keep you engaged in the story without exposing too much.

For me I enjoy the banter between the MC and supporting cast, as well as his tact to deal with issues that present itself during his regression. He fully utilizes the knowledge he gains to achieve his goal which I liked. Not your typical airhead protagonist that I see with the genre.

I'd say this is a good read if you enjoy something to pass the time as well as having characters the have some depth to them. <<less

Great adventure novel, characters with entertaining personalities and unique goals and a good translation. I don't have much to say but this is a novel I feel doesn't need much advocacy. It's just good, even if safe.

Would say my only gripe is the TL REALLY wants reviews on here for some reason
