It's a tough review. The story gets things right that others don't even address but at the same time falls down on some very big things.

What the story gets tight:

First and foremost, this is the first time I have seen a Japanese web novel portray an ignorant MC as just ignorant not s*upid to the point where the readers want to kill them. The MC is ignorant and she doesn't know what's what but she's not s*upid nor us she kind to the point of self destruction. She isn't about... more>> just rolling over and letting others hurt her. I also particularly liked that in her family relationship, which is a nice break from the usual submissive to the family Japanese model👍👍

Comedy. There's not much out there that deserves the comedy tag and this is one of the few. It's not a laugh riot like "Rebirth of the Evil Mother in Law" or "Spending the Villains Money to Extend My Life", but it is funny and will bring smiles

What it gets wrong:

It feels incomplete with a rushed ending, as if it's a fragment of a larger story.

Bottom line: A very nice afternoon read, great for lying in the sun and sipping a cold beverage. <<less

A nice, quick read. Although it was a bit too "quick" in some regards. This novel felt like a loading screen that takes ten minutes to get to 50% and then 1 second to load the remaining 50%. I went to click "next chapter" and saw "end" instead.

Wait, that's it? That's the end? I mean, was it really proper to end the story in just 2 paragraphs?

The story was actually quite decent. MC was also quite likable although I couldn't say the same about MLs.

Out of 4 MLs, there was no one who was considered normal or decent. The priest was full of prejudice and haughty (although later he tried to change his attitude), the magician twins were twisted and clingy, and the knight captain was a masochist and weird. Whoever MC would end up in the future, I would find it hard to support them.

Yes, this novel didn't clearly state who was going to be ML till the end. But from the tag "reverse harem", maybe she would end up with all of them with one of them became as an official husband? Idk.

Now let's get back to the problematic ending.

MC was proved as the real saint because she clearly had the power and the saint's mark. The MLs then started to discuss the possibility of conspirary that involved the king. Ok, I couldn't wait to know the end result of MLs investigation but what I got in the end was merely a perfunctory conclusion that consisted only 2 paragraphs.

The fake saint ended up missing and the king suddenly fell ill for no apparent reason. There's no explanation at all about the conspirator and his motive to place a fake saint in the church. There's also no clue about what MLs had done in the background to make those incident happened.

And the most important thing was: what about MC?

Hahaha. What the hell was that ending. Talk about rushed this author fried the character's brains and served it with a "The End." The novel was good until chapter 26.2 when suddenly dinner was served.

It wasn't too terrible, you won't learn anything new from the story. But as a short read, the novel did well.

A good quick read. Story is short but progress smoothly.

MC is so strong and mostly doesn't need other help at all.

But the ending is super rush. I want to read more of this but it just end suddenly.

This would have been really good if the ending was not so rushed. 2 paragraphs then ~fin~ 🥲 Also, the characters could have been more fleshed out instead.

Oh well

It was a nice quick lighthearted read.

This was pretty good for the most part - a fun, quick read, and I agree with the other reviewer who said the MC is naive, not s*upid, which is rare to see done well. I also have the same complaint as everyone else -there really needed to be more of a wrap-up to the story. It feels like only half the story was written down. Pretty good though, and I liked the character development and the MC felt like a real person who was there for the paycheck and... more>> keeping her family safe and honestly didn't have time for this nonsense, ThankYouVeryMuch! <<less
