One day, after the original story had ended, the female protagonist killed the male protagonist—and then I died too.

***

I became Raylin, a supporting character in a villainess possession novel.

The female protagonist’s best friend, relationship counselor, emotional dumping ground, and walking wallet.

I faithfully played my assigned role according to the original story.

“Raylin, I can never forgive you.”

mu*dered by the female protagonist, who had been driven mad by her delusions, I miraculously returned to the past.

Determined to destroy the original story, I resolved to fight back and sought a powerful ally to stand against her.

“You were the one who made the first move—now take responsibility.”

But unexpectedly, I found myself deeply entangled with the story’s villain, the crown prince, Aiger…

This is very interesting. A classical isekai, bad end, then time rewound for a second chance of the same life.

I liked that the first two lives were only mentioned in the introduction and then the story immediatly started at the start of the second fantasy life. I feel that we enter the story without delay this way. After that it is not rushed, we get into each issue one after the other. It's all about nipping the previous female lead's chances in the bud.

The protagonist is very interesting because she... more>> tries to change the story but within her capacity. She finds allies and uses what she has at her disponsal without super powers. I find her very human because she starts with a revenge motivation but she gets influenced by the people she meets and she genuinely wants to help them because she can. She's not the type to be consummed by revenge because she lives her life in the present, not the past.

Her relationship with the prince is progressing at a great pace. It's not love at first sight but he has a certain fondness already and their interactions show very well why he finds her interesting. He sees her as a small sparrow fluffling her feathers right now. He's already yandere level protective of her, threatening people who even look at her. I expect great yandere scenes to come.

The antagonist is far from s*upid and it's refreshing.

Spoiler

The funny trick is that the original protagonist named in the summary is living her own isekai story in a book where she was not the protagonist but the villainess. It's kind of the isekai matryochka. So deciding who are the good guys and who are the villaines becomes very difficult. The protagonist we follow is really an unreliable narrator
