Lu Shang picked up a dirty teenager while discussing work at a bar. It was merely happenstance, but memories from ten years ago resurfaced when he saw the gunshot scars on the teenager’s back.

A very cute and relatively simple story, with a decent amount of angst and even more fluff. I enjoyed the way the relationship between our two MCs evolved over time, due to both of them growing as individuals. Near the end the couple gives the feeling of being equal partners, protecting and caring for each other lovingly. Sometimes the MCs will be so self-sacrificial that it hurts to read, but I think those moments make you understand the pain of their situation, of wanting your partner to be happy and... more>> healthy even at the cost of your own well-being. The story is filled with sweet moments that clearly show how the two cherish one another. It’s a story that makes you go “Ah I want someone to love me like this.” <<less

A very well-balanced and well-written novel. The build-up to the climax etc was well planned and executed. For me, what was good was the mostly realistic portrayal of taking care of someone who is terminally ill and the emotions that come with it.

However, for me, this novel was too "perfect", and while I liked it, it's not something I will reread again, but that's just me. Maybe because it's kinda bland? Or typical I guess, idk.

Note: Each chapter is quite long (about 2-3 times the length of a typical novel)... more>> so it'll take you about the time you would take to read a 120-150 chapter novel <<less

if you're looking for something cute to read with a decent amount of angst as well, then this is perfect! There's quite some corporate ish drama and all which is pretty interesting. I really love the relo <3 its too cute

This novel is one of the best novels o have read in a long time! The development of Li Sui and his fears of Lu Shang leaving him is very thoroughly developed throughout the story and Li Sui’s growth in personality is really shown through the story telling. This novel is very well made and can’t wait to read it again!

Angst is not my cup of tea, really. But I loooovee this novel so much. The ML just really love the MC so much. Their love is so pure for me. But really, if I hadn't known that this novel will has happy ending, I wouldn't try to read this, so much sadness :''

This story seems to be interesting. This is my second novel I read on this site and I think I like it. Lu Shang seems to be a really modest person, but I think he has some secrets deep inside. And I wonder who that kid is, where is he from, what's his name, etc. I'm curious how this story continues.
